Palestinians: Laughing Their Heads Off
U.S. Vice President Joe Biden visited Ramallah last week, and Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas and his top officials are laughing their heads off.
Why not laugh? Biden arrived in the region hoping to persuade the Palestinian leaders to issue a "condemnation" of the reign of terror, which they continue to describe as a "popular and peaceful uprising." This in itself reeks of gallows humor. But what Biden got was even funnier, from the point of view of Abbas and his friends. The Palestinian president offered "condolences" over the killing of a U.S. citizen in Jaffa the previous day: "The President [Abbas] offered his condolences over the killing of the US citizen, while stressing at the same time that the occupation authorities have killed 200 Palestinians over the past five months," according to a statement released by the PA leadership in Ramallah. Abbas's crocodile tears were shed for Taylor Force, a West Point graduate from Texas who was stabbed to death by a Palestinian during a rampage on the Jaffa beachfront promenade. Abbas is doubtless also upset because Israel has killed Palestinian stabbers and shooters. Just before Biden arrived in Ramallah, Abbas's Fatah faction praised the murderer of Force, calling him a "martyr." But Fatah was quick to delete the posts to avoid embarrassing the Palestinian leadership during Biden's visit. It seems that the murder of an American visitor is condemnable, but the murder of some 34 Israelis since last October, including a pregnant woman and civilians, is somewhat less so. Where was the condemnation of the wounding of nine Israelis in the attack that killed Taylor Force? Where was the condemnation of the attacks the took place on that very day in Jerusalem and Petah Tikva? But Abbas explained everything to Biden: Israel was in fact fully responsible for the "violence and bloodshed" because of the "occupation" and "settlements." Here is a dirty little secret: the Palestinian attackers were not driven to murder Jews because of "settlements" and "checkpoints." Check their Facebook accounts: what fueled their hatred were the lies they had been fed for the past few years by President Abbas and other Palestinian leaders, concerning Jews "desecrating" Islamic holy sites and plotting to destroy them. No checkpoint snags, no settlement issues, no protests against construction of new apartments in Jerusalem for Jewish families. Many of these Palestinians went for Israeli blood because they have been taught -- by Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian Authority, Hamas and other Palestinian groups -- to hate Israel. And they do not give a damn whether that Jew lives in Jaffa or in the West Bank. They also do not give a damn if some of their victims are Arabs. Yet the comedy continues. Biden is reported to have urged Abbas and the Palestinian leadership to stop the anti-Israel incitement in their official media and on social media. Abbas vehemently denied that this incitement was taking place, and indeed, explained that the US leader had gotten things mixed up entirely: it was Israel that was guilty of incitement against the Palestinians. While Abbas was busy offering his condolences for the killing of the U.S. citizen, his ruling Fatah faction was busy glorifying Palestinian assailants who killed Israelis. In one instance, Fatah published an announcement inviting Palestinians to mark the 38th anniversary of the "martyrdom" of Dalal Al-Mughrabi. Al-Mughrabi was a Fatah member who participated in the 1978 Coastal Road massacre in Israel, in which 38 civilians were killed, including 13 children.
The condolence message was also long enough for Fatah to praise Palestinian assailants, including Abdel Malek Abu Kharoub, who carried out a recent shooting attack in Jerusalem. In a post on its official Facebook account, Fatah hailed Abu Kharoub as a "hero and martyr." Of course neither Biden nor any of his advisors and aides saw these posts. They prefer to continue burying their heads in the sand and pretending that once the "peace process" is revived, everything will be fine. So it is business as usual for Abbas and crew. As in any comedy, there is a clown, and Biden was played for a fool by a PA leadership that finds that it pays to point its finger at Israel. In Arabic, a language in which Western leaders are perhaps not fluent, Palestinian media outlets and spokesmen vomit poison against Israel. Condemnation of attacks on Israelis would be rather unlikely in such a drama. And so the curtain rises on another act of the ceremonial, make-believe theater of the Middle East. In Abbas's sneaky script, it is about settlements. In reality, it is about the refusal of the Americans to read, speak or even translate Arabic. Police Say Video Shows Suspect in Slaying of Pastor's Wife

Home video surveillance cameras caught images of the man who investigators believe broke into an Indianapolis home and fatally shot a pastor's pregnant wife, police said Friday.
City police Capt. Craig Converse said during a news conference that detectives haven't identified the hoodie-wearing suspect in 28-year-old Amanda Blackburn's death. He said the suspect is black and is between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-9 tall.
"We know who killed her," Converse said. "At least we have a picture of him, but we don't know the name."
Blackburn was shot in the head during the attack Tuesday morning and died the next day.
Investigators believe the man in the video might have seen Blackburn's husband, Davey, leave home about 6:10 a.m. Tuesday to go to a gym not long after the suspect apparently burglarized a house two doors away. At least three security cameras posted on other homes captured images of the man walking in the normally quiet neighborhood on the city's northwest side near the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
"We believe that when Mr. Blackburn left to go work out, he saw the opportunity to burglarize another home," Maj. Eric Hench said.

He said police were working to enhance the video and that police planned to release images of the suspect in the hope that someone might recognize the individual.
A neighbor heard possible gunshots about 6:45 a.m. and home video shows a dark SUV speeding from the neighborhood, Hench said. He said the suspect was seen walking in the neighborhood and that it is not clear if the SUV is connected to the shooting.
No signs of forced entry, such as a kicked-in door or a cut window screen, were found at the Blackburn home, he said.
Blackburn was 13 weeks pregnant, and the child did not survive, family spokeswoman Suzanne Swift said. The Blackburns also have a 15-month-old son, Weston, who Hench said was asleep upstairs at the time of the attack.
Amanda and Davey Blackburn moved from South Carolina to found the independent Resonate Church in Indianapolis in 2012. Amanda Blackburn's father is lead pastor of First Baptist Church in Elkhart, Indiana, and Davey Blackburn's father, Dave Blackburn, is lead pastor at Next Church in Brevard, North Carolina, Swift said.

Whatever The Rationale For Shooting Walter Scott, It Fails. Shooting A Man In The Back, Is Cowardice.
Was the South Carolina Shooting a Reflection of Racism, Police Subculture or Both?
As more evidence emerges -- in addition to the cell phone video showing a South Carolina policeman, who is white, shooting a black man in the back -- it certainly shows that serious abuse of power and a likely homicide occurred. But does it also show a racially motivated interaction?
The officer's words were not recorded, so motive must be circumstantially inferred from the actions that were captured on the short but dramatic cell phone video, and from what we know occurred before and after what we have all seen on television.
We know from the police reports that Walter Scott was stopped for a broken tail light on a Mercedes, and we also know that in many parts of our country, a black man driving a Mercedes with a minor infraction is more likely to be stopped than a white driver. We know that there was a scuffle between Officer Michael Slager and Scott, and that the officer tased Scott. We know from the video that Scott ran away from the officer and that the officer then fired eight shots, several of which hit Scott. We know from the video that the officer picked up an item, which appears to be the taser, and dropped it near Scott's body. It is reasonable to infer from these circumstances that Scott's race may have played a role in his being stopped for a minor traffic violation -- in other words that the broken tail light may have provided an excuse for what really was the racial profiling of a black man driving a fancy car. It is also possible, though less certain, that the decision to arrest and then tase Scott may have been influenced by his race. But it may also have been influenced by his actions -- resisting arrest, seeking to flee. It is certainly possible that Officer Slager would have done the same thing to a white man who acted the way Scott did. We can never know for certain. So now we come to the shooting, which we have all seen and can judge for ourselves. We don't know whether words were exchanged before the shooting began, but no unrecorded words could possibly justify what we see on the video: a man with nothing in his hands, running away from an arrest with his back to the officer, being shot multiple times. The officer may have been angry with Scott for trying to grab his taser -- if that is indeed what Scott did. He may even have been frightened, though the video does not suggest fear on the part of the officer, as he methodically shot Scott in the back as he was running away. It suggests that the officer was trying to prevent Scott from fleeing. If Scott had, in fact, assaulted Officer Slager and had tried to grab his taser, then the officer may have had reasonable grounds for arresting Scott for more serious crimes of violence, such as assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. But that would still not justify shooting Scott in the back to stop him from fleeing such an arrest, since the constitutional criterion for the use of deadly force requires a reasonable fear of imminent serious harm to the officer or the public. The video clearly shows that this standard was not met. But it doesn't necessarily show that Officer Slager's unauthorized use of deadly force was motivated by racism. A considerable number of white people have been unlawfully shot by police who were angered by the disrespect and contempt shown them by arrest resisters. This does not, of course, justify any unlawful resort to deadly force, but it does provide a plausible non-racist explanation for Officer Slager's apparently unlawful response. Finally, we come to what appears to be the deliberate planting of the taser near Scott's body, to create the false impression that Scott was holding the weapon when he was shot. Tragically, this type of police criminality -- it is a felony to tamper with evidence, including moving its location -- is far too typical of a small subculture of rogue police officers who commonly plant evidence to cover up their misconduct. Some carry with them "Saturday night specials" -- small cheap pistols -- that they can plant on victims of improper police shootings. Others carry packets of drugs to plant on those arrested without probable cause. These bad cops, who constitute a tiny fraction of all decent police officers, are equal opportunity abusers. They are as likely to plant evidence on or near a white as a black person. They are doing it to protect themselves, to cover up their misconduct. So if Officer Slager did, in fact, plant the taser near Scott's body, he did it because he realized that he had messed up. He probably would have done the same had Scott been white. What we don't know is whether he would have found himself in the situation that necessitated a cover up -- whether he would have shot or even stopped Scott in the first place -- if Scott had been white. Within the small subculture of bad cops -- those who shoot out of anger, plant evidence and lie to protect each other -- there may be some who are also motivated by racial bias. There may be others who have mixed motives. But if the subculture is changed, as it must be, the primary beneficiaries will be black Americans, because black Americans are disproportionately impacted by every aspect of our criminal justice system.

Jovan Belcher--Tragedy Not Caused By A Gun #1
We knew that as soon as it was announced that Belcher had killed his girlfriend and then turned the gun on himself there would be the controversy over the second amendment. It seems that the left goes crazy over someone using a weapon to murder someone. We have some sad news for them. The gun only fired after someone pulled the trigger! For those who hate guns, this is an amazing fact.
For some reason, the "gun-haters" believe that weapons discharge by themselves which rational people know is not true. They also believe that without a gun being present (as Costas also does) no one would ever die from murder. Somehow, Jovan Belcher would have found a way to kill his girlfriend if he did not have a weapon. He might have selected a hammer, a kitchen knife, a baseball bat, a car accident?? or acid to do the deed. Regardless, his girlfriend would be dead.
It is an old saw but very true--guns don't kill people, people do! It's time for people to understand that the gun is a tool which can be used for good as well as evil. Anything can be misused but that does not make the tool bad.

While Jovan Belcher’s final act appalls me, that revulsion is nothing compared to how I feel about the ghouls who jumped on the situation in order to push political ideologies. Writing for FOX Sports, Jason Whitlock managed to turn the orphaning of a 3-month-old into a bizarre rant against the 2ndAmendment.
Our current gun culture simply ensures that more and more domestic disputes will end in the ultimate tragedy, and that more convenience-store confrontations over loud music coming from a car will leave more teenage boys bloodied and dead. … What I believe is, if he didn’t possess/own a gun, he and Kasandra Perkins would both be alive today.
A man takes a 22-year-old woman’s life, orphans their child and then kills himself, and Whitlock “believes” guns are to blame. Granted, Whitlock is well-known for allowing his political ignorance to obstruct his reason; witness his infamously racist attack on NBA star Jeremy Lin. But he’s hardly the only commentator who has seized on tragedy to promote an assault on the Constitution like a vulture seizing on roadkill. I find it fascinating that pseudo-journalists like Whitlock and his allies in hate groups like the Brady Campaign either can’t or won’t learn that a culture that excuses virtually every perversion, every failure and every crime as somehow being the fault of inanimate objects, YouTube videos or “the rich” might produce exactly this sort of outcome.
Whitlock wasn’t the biggest player to “Belcher” his own credibility on the altar of anti-Constitutional hate; he was simply the first to do so. Sunday night, NBC’s Bob Costas committed what should have been career suicide thusly:
You want some actual perspective on this? Well, a bit of it comes from the Kansas City-based writer Jason Whitlock with whom I do not always agree, but who today said it so well that we may as well just quote or paraphrase from the end of his article.
Oh, poor little Bobby; you went from respected sportscaster to left-wing buffoon in less time than it takes an NFL trainer to tape an ankle. I didn’t expect much from Whitlock; I did expect more from you.
The President and at least two of his accomplices, Attorney General Eric Holder and U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice, have participated in paper-thin cover-ups involving murder, weapons trafficking, perjury and outright lying; and we’re told that anyone who notes their crimes is racist for doing so. Professional athletes behave like steroid-addled gladiators who’ve just been furloughed from the Thunderdome, and we’re supposed to ignore their behavior because they sell tickets and jerseys and/or show up for the occasional charity event. Hell, Charlie Sheen, who is the poster boy for Dionysian self-indulgence, has parlayed coke binges and domestic abuse into wink-nod ad campaigns for Fiat.
It’s important to recognize that there is no such thing as gun control. Gun control is merely a convenient rhetorical camouflage for the real goal of so-called “gun control” proponents’ parent philosophy: “people control.” It’s more important to recognize that the people who desire such control over their fellow citizens are poor choices to wield it. Furthermore, it’s important to recognize that there is no such thing as “gun violence.” There is violence — on the football field, in Chicago and in programs run by the Departments of Justice and State. But that’s all “people” violence.
When agitators like Whitlock and Costas turn a tragedy into a podium from which to expound on their own personal political causes, they not only diminish the suffering of the victims and their loved ones, they distract — often deliberately — from the real root causes of violence and pain. And their macabre attempts to spin political thread from human suffering only compound the real pain being suffered by the real victims

Ambassador Chris Stevens--Gay?
We are starting to see some postings across the web that Ambassador Chris Stevens was gay. We have a couple comments. First of all, if Stevens was gay, why was he posted in a Muslim country? Secondly, if he did like men, it does explain the violence the Ambassador was experienced before and after the murder. Lastly, were any of his deceased "associates" of a like mind?
Please understand we have no knowledge, however, we wondered why he was raped before and after his death, as shown on videos. This is representative of a Muslim practice to "make a woman" out of any homosexual. Did they know that he liked men? Was he set up?
So, it brings up another question, why was he posted there knowing the Muslim attitude toward gays? Was he sacrificed? If so what is the end game?
Obviously, there are lots of questions and no news about them. Don't expect to hear reports of this on the dumbstream media. Maybe we can find out the truth from some European newspaper or maybe Russia Today.
