Illegal Alien Killed Two Law Enforcement Officers And Was Fined $280…But That’s Not Even The Worst Part

There is a disturbing trend in our nation of embracing and accepting lawlessness and it has literally deadly consequences.

The left rattles on about justice, but they have turned justice on its head by being pitying to reckless criminals and callous towards their victims.

How many more Americans have to bury their family members before we wake up and stop this insanity?

An illegal alien who killed two members of law enforcement was not only given a mere slap on the wrist in the form of a $280 fine, is not only still residing in the United States, but is still freely driving on the streets.

This was uncovered through an investigation by the Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI), according to Breitbart.

28-year-old Roberto Garza Palacios is an illegal alien from Guatemala who caused a car accident that took the lives of 33-year-old Sander Cohen (pictured at top), the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office deputy chief, and 36-year-old FBI agent Carlos Wolff.

Palacios was fined a mere $280 for the deadly crash as prosecutors decided that causing the deaths of Cohen and Wolff did not constitute a “reckless disregard” for life.

Since this tragic and outrageous incident, the IRLI found, Palacios has remained in the US and has been happily driving, his driver’s license intact.

Seriously?!

They report:

IRLI has learned that after the deaths on I-270, Palacios faced a $30,000 bail that the judge in the case reduced to $15,000. The bail, legal fees and fine for Palacios were reportedly paid by CASA (formerly Casa de Maryland), an activist group that administers day-labor centers in the state and advocates for those in the country illegally.

IRLI’s investigation showed that instead of being deported or at least having his driving privileges revoked after the deaths of Wolff and Cohen, Palacios continued living in the United States and driving. Documents obtained by IRLI show that Palacios was cited in September of last year in Carroll County, Md., on four alleged violations including negligent driving, failure to obey traffic control devices, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, and failure to remain at the scene of an accident.

After he was released by police in Carroll County, Palacios was arrested by ICE agents and is currently being held at the nearby Howard County Detention Center awaiting possible deportation.

IRLI Executive Director Dale Wilcox discussed the investigation on a recent episode of Breitbart News Tonight:

“It is incomprehensible and unacceptable that Maryland’s sanctuary policies continue to protect illegal criminals, which in effect destroys the lives of U.S. citizens,” Marla Wolff, the widow of Carlos Wolff and mother of their two young children, Marla Wolff, said in a statement.

She went on to say:

Had Montgomery County honored ICE’s detainer request, Palacios would have never been on the road to kill Carlos and Sander. This is a nightmare that we now have to live with. How many more families have to suffer unnecessarily because of politicians who put in place reckless laws? And now politicians want to make all of Maryland a sanctuary state; this is an outrage.

The IRLI investigation also found that this reckless, criminal alien was arrested for drug possession, malicious burning, drunk driving, and destruction of private property.

How is this man still somehow allowed to live in the US, let alone walking the streets free?!

How is that possible?

Consider, after all, the degree of lunacy now championed by Democrat presidential candidates: America is being negatively transformed by a full-scale, never-ending invasion across its southern border, but all the Democrat candidates love, enable and encourage it. Their “Green New Deal” schemes would cost untold trillions of taxpayer dollars while destroying America’s fossil fuel industries, thereby putting millions out of work. 

They celebrate full-term abortion (aka infanticide) and cheer the epidemic of delusional men invading women’s locker rooms and showers and dominating the world of women’s sports. One Democrat candidate, Julian Castro, announced from the debate stage that he even wants taxpayer-funded abortions for men who get pregnant.

Add to this insanity the never-ending calls to impeach President Donald Trump, all part of a rolling coup attempt that has severely traumatized America with the most outrageous political hoax in U.S. history – the allegation, utterly without evidence, that the president of the United States is secretly a traitorous Russian double agent.

Of course, the fake news media serve as the grand enablers of all this, modern alchemists magically transmuting leftwing insanity into fools’ gold, forever portraying Democrats as moral and caring, and Republicans as selfish and evil.

However, all of this intense daily drama also serves as camouflage – the perfect smokescreen for concealing another and even more daunting attempted coup d’état taking place largely out of view.

And therein lies the answer to our question of how a wildly unhinged political party like the Democrats of 2019 could actually retake the White House – and Congress – and therefore the courts – in 2020.

Imagine, just for a minute, that some unseen yet immensely powerful entity existed, one capable of influencing the minds of hundreds of millions of people, shaping their perceptions in such a profound way as to steer them toward voting for a certain party or candidate. 

Suppose, further, that this influence was virtually undetectable, indeed that the entity was one we had come to admire, consulting it on a daily basis, tapping freely into its vast, almost god-like reservoir of universal knowledge and understanding.

Suppose further that, though imperceptible to us, this great and all-knowing something had a secret plan for our lives and our society, an overriding will to guide and shape us and our world in its benevolent image.

This, in essence, is what America – indeed the whole world – is dealing with in the Age of Big Tech.

As the June issue of Whistleblower magazine documents, citing hard evidence including multiple peer-reviewed studies, Google is already determining the results of elections around the world. And, contends Google researcher Robert Epstein, Ph.D., former editor-in-chief of Psychology Today (and a Democrat who voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016), Google likely swung as many as 3 million votes toward Hillary in the 2016 presidential contest. It just turned out not to be quite enough.

“I’m guessing that these companies held back in 2016, because they were overconfident,” Epstein said later. Recently, Epstein predicted, based on his half-decade of peer-reviewed research, that Big Tech could swing 15 million votes toward the Democrat presidential candidate in 2020, without leaving any paper trail and without those so influenced realizing it.

In widely read Wired article headlined, “Is Big Tech Merging with Big Brother” journalist David Samuels writes,  “the threat of government surveillance systems being integrated with the existing corporate surveillance capacities of big-data companies like Facebook, Google, Microsoft, and Amazon into one gigantic all-seeing eye appears to trouble very few people.”

He then spends the rest of his 5,000+ word article documenting how America’s elite class appears “to accept the merger of the U.S. military and intelligence complex with Big Tech as a good thing.” 

Indeed, with the growing presence of Big Tech in Washington, D.C. – from Google’s huge corporate lobbying expenditures, to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos’ purchase of the Washington Post, to major high-tech contracts being awarded by the CIA, Pentagon and other federal agencies to companies like Amazon, Microsoft and Google – the merger of Big Tech and Big Government appears to be happening.

And then there’s this: In a June report on Breitbart.com, technology writer Allum Bokhari reveals, based on an internal Facebook document obtained by the news website, that Facebook monitors users’ offline behavior to determine whether or not the user should be labeled a “hate agent.”

Let’s say it straight: Big Tech – overwhelmingly far-leftist progressive in worldview and therefore, by definition totalitarian – is attempting to transform the world in its image.

Big Tech – first and foremost Google, which accounts for 90 percent of all search inquiries worldwide – has become almost like a god to billions of people. But that god is attempting to reshape errant and wayward humanity in its image. Its most urgent task right now? Defeat Trump in the 2020 election. Big Tech is still kicking itself for having failed in 2016. It doesn’t intend to make the same mistake again.

A new report indicates that two undocumented illegal immigrants who are suspected to be MS-13 gang members are accused of raping an 11-year-old girl.

The media continues to ignore this story while focusing on a video of an 11-year-old girl crying after an ICE raid in Mississippi.

According to ABC7:

GERMANTOWN, Md. (ABC7) — Two undocumented immigrants are accused of raping an 11-year-old girl on different occasions, the common denominator being a friendship with the victim's older brother.

Montgomery County Police have arrested Mauricio Barrera-Navidad, 29, of Damascus, and Carlos Palacios-Amaya, 28, of Gaithersburg, and charged each with second-degree rape.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement tells ABC7 that Barrera-Navidad and Palacios-Amaya are both living in the country illegally.

In December 2016, an immigration judge issued Barrera-Navidad a "final order of removal." It's unclear why the Salvadoran national remained in the country.

The accusation pf the two individuals being MS-13 members has been floating around based on reports that they two are from El Salvador, the origin country of the gang.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations division arrested nearly 300 illegal immigrants who were unlawfully employed by a north Texas company, according to an ICE press release.

What are the details? ICE had received numerous tips that the company, CVE Technology Group in Allen, Texas, was intentionally hiring illegal immigrants who were using fake identification papers.
So, ICE audited CVE's employment documentation, and found "numerous hiring irregularities. More than 280 employees were arrested on administrative immigration violations.
What will happen to the illegal immigrants? Everyone who was arrested will be interviewed by ICE to determine their specific situation, such as whether they are the sole caregiver to someone or if they have any unique medical circumstances. Those interviews will determine whether they are detained or released.
All of them will be processed for deportation.
And what about the company that hired them? The ICE press release did not address specific potential consequences for CVE Technology, but Dallas HSI special agent Katrina Berger pointed out how damaging their hiring practices are.

"Businesses that knowingly hire illegal aliens create an unfair advantage over their competing businesses," Berger said. "In addition, they take jobs away from U.S. citizens and legal residents, and they create an atmosphere poised for exploiting their illegal workforce."
ICE has, in the recent past, stated an intention to focus more on criminally investigating employers who knowingly hire illegal immigrants.
What did the critics say? There were protesters present as the arrests were being made, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, and critics of these types of raids point out that they target people whose only crimes are living and working in the U.S. illegally.

Border crisis: Border Patrol says detention centers are full — and starts releasing illegals

MCALLEN, Texas — The Border Patrol released 50 recently apprehended migrants here Tuesday, the first of several hundred border-crossers who officials say will soon be freed because there is no room to hold them.

Normally, the Border Patrol would transfer the migrants to Immigration and Customs Enforcement to be “processed” and in many cases placed in detention facilities. But officials said that both agencies have run out of space due to a recent influx of Central American families.

Immigrant advocates suggested the release was intended to create chaos at the border and further President Donald Trump’s argument that there is a national emergency there.

“Why do this now? It doesn’t make sense,” said Zenen Jaimes Perez, advocacy director for the Texas Civil Rights Project, which sent lawyers to the McAllen bus station to assist the migrants. “This is not something they’ve done before.”

He pointed out that the federal government has dealt with bigger influxes of migrants in the recent past.

A Border Patrol official — who spoke on the condition that he not be identified — denied that the release was a political stunt and said that crowding the facilities would threaten the safety of agents and migrants.

“It is a crisis,” he said. “It’s not a self-proclaimed crisis.”

The agency plans to make similar releases along other parts of the border, he said.

In February, the Border Patrol caught 66,450 migrants, a 38 percent increase from January and one of the highest monthly totals of the last decade. More than half of those arrested were parents and children, and 40 percent of those were in the Rio Grande Valley.

The number of families arriving in the Rio Grande Valley sector since October has jumped nearly 210 percent over the same period in the last fiscal year, according to Customs and Border Protection reports.

Still, migrant apprehensions are far below levels seen for decades until the mid-2000s, when they reached more than a million per year before falling dramatically.

That hasn’t stopped Trump from declaring a national emergency at the southern border in order to tap into billions in federal funding for his long-promised border wall, with administration officials pointing to the spike in migrant families as evidence of a crisis. In recent weeks, officials have warned the U.S. immigration system is “at a breaking point.”

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen is scheduled to visit McAllen Thursday.

Border Patrol spokesman Carlos Diaz said the 50 migrants were given notices to appear in court and released to Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley, which operates a local respite center.

He said 200 more migrants would be released to the center Wednesday.

Volunteers in the area are already accustomed to helping large numbers of newly released migrants. Elizabeth Cavazos, a leader of the migrant advocacy group Angry Tias & Abuelas of RGV, said ICE typically releases 300 to 500 migrants a day in McAllen.

But additional releases in large numbers by the Border Patrol are likely to strain the system, she said.

“I feel like they’re trying to put some stress on the volunteer and advocacy groups, all of us touting ‘There’s no crisis down here,’” Cavazos said. “Maybe it’s for them to save face because they’ve been calling this a border crisis and everything’s peachy keen down here. That’s what it feels like.”

The respite center is already at capacity, with 900 migrants spread between the main facility and a temporary site opened this week.

The Border Patrol has been moving 700 to 800 migrants a day to ICE over the last week. But that was 300 a day less than the Border Patrol wanted to transfer.

As a result, the Border Patrol’s Central Processing Center in McAllen quickly filled, leading to the release this week.

Another possible factor in the release is that the agency has been under pressure to improve conditions for migrants since two Guatemalan children died in its custody in December.

It is not the first time the federal government has released large numbers of migrants. During the Christmas holiday, ICE officials dropped more than a thousand migrants in downtown El Paso, straining local churches and nonprofit shelters, which had to pay to house migrants in hotels.

Before the release of migrants Tuesday, the Border Patrol official said his agency notified McAllen Mayor Jim Darling and Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley.

Many more migrants remain in detention awaiting court hearings on asylum claims. Record numbers of asylum seekers have contributed to a backlog of 830,000 cases.

It’s a scene all too many Americans have had to endure.

The family of a man who was struck and killed by an illegal alien in September watched as the alien was sentenced Friday to up to 33 months in prison for a hit-and-run causing death.

And for the dead man’s mother, it wasn’t nearly punishment enough.

According to WTVD, Neri Damian Cruz-Carmano, a man who entered the country illegally, was driving in the early hours of Sept. 1 in Raleigh, North Carolina, when he made a left turn onto another road.

An oncoming motorcyclist, identified as 26-year-old Jamar Rashauan Beach of Raleigh, struck the van Cruz-Carmano was driving. The impact was so hard that Beach was decapitated.

Cruz-Carmano drove off with Beach’s body still on the van, WTVD reported.

“He had no business here in the first place and he should not have been operating a vehicle,” Cameo Robinson, the mother of the man who died, told WTVD.

“He didn’t have a license. So, therefore, he’s being treated better than the citizen who’s been killed.”

This is the side of illegal immigration liberals don’t want the American public to see, much less talk about.

The crimes committed by illegals range in severity, from murders and sexual assaults that make the front pages and go viral on the internet to the kind of “routine” driving infractions like operating a vehicle without a license that mostly get ignored.

But they have one thing in common:

The people who commit them would not have been in the United States to do it if they had not flouted American laws – even if the Democratic Party and its mainstream media allies don’t want to admit it.

But the loved ones of the crime victims know what price the country is paying for allowing its sovereignty to be ignored.

Mary Ann Mendoza, the founder of the group Angel Families, has seen first-hand the kind of damage that can be wrought by an illegal alien.

Her son, a Mesa, Arizona, police officer, was killed by an illegal alien who was driving drunk in 2014.

That’s why she was on hand when President Donald Trump issued the first veto of his presidency on Friday to a resolution passed by both houses of Congress opposing Trump’s declaration of a national emergency to build a wall on the southern border to prevent yet more illegal immigration.

Liberals like to pretend illegal immigrants are not a criminal problem.

They love to argue, as Cruz-Carmano’s attorney did, according to WTVD, that illegal immigrants are only seeking opportunity in the United States that they could never find in the benighted homelands they left behind.

But the reality is that there are a substantial number of illegal aliens who commit crimes in this country – which means there is an even more substantial number of American citizens, crime victims and their families, who are left to shoulder a burden they have every right in the world to expect their government to protect them from.

The bottom line here is that this is a matter of justice, for the victims of crime and their families, for women like Cameo Robinson and Mary Ann Mendoza, who’ve felt the unnatural pain of burying their children and dealing with the wreckage left behind.

As Robinson told WTVD, Cruz-Carmano “gets to go home with his two children. He goes home to his wife. My grandson, he doesn’t have a father.”

After Cruz-Carmano’s release, Robinson said, she’s going to work for what justice she can — to make sure he’s deported from the country never to return.

“I’m going to encourage deportation, because he has no business here,” Robinson told WTVD.

“Now that he’s committed this horrendous crime, he definitely doesn’t deserve to be in America. Because if he wanted to be in America he would have come legally.”

That’s something Trump understands, and it’s something his supporters understand.

And it’s one of the many reasons he’s president today.

Liberals can prate about their feeling for their fellow man all they want, but they should have to look into the eyes of women like Robinson and Mendoza.

They should have to explain to grieving mothers how it’s better for the country that their sons have died because of the actions of exactly the kind of illegal aliens Trump’s proposed wall is aimed at stopping.

Then maybe liberals will understand what building the wall is really all about.

Maybe they’ll understand that a scene like the one in the courtroom on Friday doesn’t have to be repeated.

Because this country really is better than that.
