BENGHAZI WITNESS CONFIRMS WHAT HILLARY HAS BEEN HIDING: SHE’S IN TROUBLE
Trey Gowdy’s Benghazi hearings have left me more than pretty angry. Mostly at Gowdy. He seems to be more than willing to move along at a snail’s pace, we are coming on four years from the attack, and he seems to have nothing in his hand about the story except the obvious.
Gowdy is a former prosecutor and maybe he’s treating these hearings like a grand jury. Who knows? Here’s one thing he noted this week.
Gowdy has often been reluctant to comment on any aspect of the select committee’s probe, committing to his original pledge to conduct the investigation behind closed doors even amid political pressure to produce public results. The chairman acknowledged Wednesday the practice has created a “news vacuum” that Democrats have filled with talking points about how lengthy and expensive the probe has become.
And then we’ve just got raving stupid statements like this from Rep Gowdy.
“I don’t know why the mainstream media doesn’t understand that you have to talk to everyone before you draw conclusions,” Gowdy said, noting the committee has roughly 12 witnesses left to interview before winding down its investigation.
Really Trey? Really? You’ve been in Washington how long? And you missed the fact that the “mainstream media” are member members of the DNC with bylines? Oh, and the Democrats on your committee have no problem “drawing conclusions” about what they’ve selectively heard.
At least Gowdy gave us a crumb this week.
Rep.Trey Gowdy, chairman of the House Select Committee on Benghazi, said Wednesday that a number of witnesses had confirmed a stand-down order was given to military assets in proximity to Benghazi the night of the 2012 terror attack…
We’ll see.
I would agree that Hillary will be in trouble over Benghazi, but personally, I have more confidence that the release of the movie 13 Hours will do more damage to Hillary than Gowdy’s Benghazi adventure will. His report will be released, Democrats will howl that he politicized it and the media will talk about all the children who could have been fed with the money he spent on his hearings.
