If The Coronavirus Scares You, This Will Send You Into Shock

Vice President Hillary Clinton? Don’t count it out…

by Frank Holmes, reporter
Vice President Joe Biden has built up an intimidating lead in the 2020 Democratic primaries, and some activists have begun arguing about his vice presidential pick.
Democratic insiders say one name keeps coming up: former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
And leaders in both parties say she’s doing all she can to maneuver her way onto the ticket this November.
Most of the 2020 speculation about Hillary Clinton has implied she will try to emerge from a brokered convention as the presidential candidate for a “rematch” against President Donald Trump.
But Democratic strategist Jessica DeLoach told Newsmax TV’s “Spicer & Co” that Clinton has set her sights on the vice presidential office—and she’s bucking for Biden to ask so that she can “say yes.”
Talks may well already be underway, wrote Never Trumper Republican Doug MacKinnon last month.
In early February, he said that Clinton and her team were already “negotiating” with all the candidates “to join the ticket as vice president.”
“I am assured that Clinton is on every shortlist for that position,” he added.
The only question is, “given her ego, would Hillary Clinton settle for being vice president when she twice was within striking distance of being president?” MacKinnon asked. “The answer, I’m told, is an emphatic yes.”

Clinton opened the door to a run for vice president just days later. When Ellen DeGeneres asked the former secretary of state if she’d consider the second spot, Clinton said “probably no”—but then she changed her tune.
“I never say never,” Clinton said, “because I believe in serving my country.”
DeLoach said any run for national office this year would benefit her political futures. “Why would you say no?” DeLoach asked. “She doesn’t have a good reason.”
Not only would Clinton accept the number-two position, some campaign hands say she’s pursuing it ferociously.
“I think she is actually angling to be the vice presidential nominee hoping the party will understand that if Biden is the nominee, they have to have a backup,” said former New Hampshire Governor John Sununu.
Clinton started auditioning for the spot by jumping into the traditional vice presidential role of chief attack dog, savaging Bernie Sanders in multiple media appearances.

“The purpose was to reinforce Biden getting the nomination,” Sununu said. “And then, to reinforce the fact that if Biden does get the nomination, she would add to the ticket more than anyone else.”
D.C. players in Clinton’s orbit are doing all they can to sell the idea.
MacKinnon said a Biden-Clinton pairing would be a “brilliant political move.”
In fact, Hillary Clinton would be the Democratic Party’s “savior.”
The failed 2016 candidate would give the 2020 candidate “the gravitas, delegates and, eventually, millions of votes needed to get them over the finish line on Nov. 5,” he wrote. “If I were in Trump’s world, this scenario would send chills down my spine.”
For his part, President Trump has said “I hope” Hillary Clinton will make a third run for president shortly after his victory.
Voices inside the GOP say that Hillary would use the vice presidential office as a stepping stone to become president without winning an election.

“If Biden begins to fall apart” on the campaign trail this fall, “the party is desperately going to be looking for a third alternative and that’s what she is counting on—either being the alternative at the top of the ticket or being the alternative as number two,” said Sununu, a seasoned Republican operative.
“It’s all structured around the Clinton agenda, not the agenda of the Democratic Party,” he added.
But Biden has a factor with Democrats that Clinton lacks: likability. Democrats worry he could turn out voters that she would turn off.
Hollywood conservative James Woods predicted that the Democrats will wait until Biden wins the election—and then he “will eventually ‘gracefully’ resign as his dementia worsens and… Voila! #MadamePresident at last!”
If Joe Biden taps Clinton as his running mate, he may have to fight two people for his political survival.

Hillary Will NOT Be The Democratic Candidate For President In 2016

In our previous posting, "All Clintoned Out" by Victor Davis Hanson, he points out many of Hillary Clinton's faults, the reasons that Obama was able to win the 2008 nomination and the headwinds she faces for 2016. All of his points are spot on, however, we do not believe that she will run.  Why would she give up the spot she has worked for all her life?

The first reason is that she is getting too old. She will be about the same as Reagan was when he first won the Presidency, however, he did not have some of the health issues that she has.  Yes, Reagan might have had early Alzheimers but no one noticed.  We notice Hillary's problems. Her head injury was more serious than most realize. If she releases her medical records, it will doom her campaign, regardless of how they are doctored. Everyone remembers the very thick glasses she wore for months after reappearing from her "accident."  There will be many questions to which she will not respond well.

Secondly, her shrill answer to the Benghazi questions will be played over and over. "What difference does it make...."  will be the theme of anyone running for the nomination. For most thinking Americans, it does matter that four American citizens, including our Ambassador, died and that no one is being held responsible.

We can imagine ads  saying "What difference does it make that the NSA is listening to your phones" or What difference does it make that the IRS can target Americans unfairly" or "What difference does it make that guns are sold to Mexican gun lords."  You get the picture. Hillary will be tied to everything that went on in the Obama Administration.

However, the last reason that we believe that Hillary will not be the candidate for the Democrats is that we see her as a "placeholder." Someone that will keep all others out of the race until the time for that person to come to the fore. No, it will not be Elizabeth Warren or any other of the women candidates who, by the way, have pledged themselves to Hillary, should she run.

Neither will it be Bloviating Joe Biden. He has too many negatives. He also has been the "missing man" in the Administration. We hardly see him. He has been banned to  Blair House until the end of Obama's term because he cannot keep his mouth shut and shoots from the hip.

The person we think will be the candidate for the Democrats in 2016 will be........
Barack Hussein Obama.  Ever heard of him? Yes, our current President will be the man of the hour to rescue us from the travails of the Bush Administration.  Heck, that rationale has worked for the past  five and a half years, why change?

Now, we hope that you are still reading as we are dead serious.  Yes, we have heard all the reasons that he could not run i.e the 22nd amendment. However, the Obama term has shown us that nothing is to be taken for granted when it comes to this man.

Any other President faced with the scandals that have been part of his Administration, the outright disregard for the Constitution, his continuing lies ("if you like your doctor...") and his falling approval ratings, would be doomed.  He refuses to go to the border because he doesn't want a "photo op", yet goes to Denver for a "photo op" at a bar. Huh? He says there will be no troops "on the ground" in Iraq and the next day sends 300 advisers.  He is not your normal politician.

So how does he become the first President since Roosevelt to serve a third term?  First, he deceives by creating a crisis.  Americans revolt. He then either suspends the elections, or has a law passed in Congress to allow him to stay due to the crisis. Or as he has done so many times, he takes up his pen and gives himself the right to continue. One of these actions we believe he will take.

Over the years there have been times where legislation has been proposed to eliminate the 22nd Amendment, none of them have survived committee hearings.  However, if, as we fear, the Republicans lose control of the House and Democrats continue to control the Senate, the bills, which already have been introduced, will come to the floor for debate. They will pass the Democratically controlled Congress.

Wouldn't the Supreme Court step in? Probably, but how long would that take? Also, can we count on Justice Roberts to do the right thing? I am not hopeful. Regardless, by the time the Supreme Court would rule, he will have been re-elected. And like we heard from the other side on the "birther" issue, what would you do, throw him out of office?

Yes, Hillary is a placeholder for Obama. That was the deal they struck for her to be Secretary of State, allowing her to make tons of money while keeping the field clear of any competitors for the Democratic candidate for President.

We pray that we are wrong, however, we fear that we have it right.  There are too many   things going wrong with this country in the last five and a half years. The list of scandals and the abuses of our rights as Americans are too long to be a coincidence. There is something afoot, something that has been planned for years  and is now coming to fruition.

No, Hillary will not be our President nor a candidate, she is holding a place for Obama to complete his "destiny"  to completely transform America.

Is Newt The Republican Savior?

My opinion to the question is no, however, I don't know who is or who could be.  Newt is not my cup of tea for a number of reasons. He resigned from the House under a cloud, he cheated on two wives, he sat with Nancy Pilosi and agreed that global warming is an issue, he took millions from Freddie Mac and  he is not a conservative.  I have always thought that he had too much baggage to make him a viable candidate and the aforementioned points are just some of them. However, he is better than Obama but in my opinion, but not by much.

We still have nearly a month before the marathon starts toward the Republican convention. Newt and the remaining candidates will have to answer more questions and hopefully this vetting of them will make them better general election prospects.

Here is more on Newt:

Newt Stinks, But…, And Other Thoughts

December 5, 2011 by Bob Livingston
Newt Gingrich has been gaining popularity among voters.

A frightening scenario appears to be playing itself out as we march inexorably toward the time when real live voters begin casting meaningful votes to select the Republican candidate who will face President Barack Obama in 11 months: Newt Gingrich might win.

Many of our friends on the “right” seem OK with that. In fact, over the past two weeks in our own GOP Presidential poll, Gingrich has led Ron Paul. The latest results during that period:

Candidate                 Votes In Poll
Newt Gingrich              8,920
Ron Paul                       7,081
Herman Cain                 4,355
Mitt Romney                 2,004
Rick Perry                    1,280

Gingrich’s rise in the polls would make a fascinating psychological study. Here we have a man who cheated on (at least) two wives (once while excoriating President Bill Clinton for doing the same thing), who is a member of the globalist Council on Foreign Relations, who has attended the pagan ritual summit also known as Bohemian Grove, who slobbered all over Nancy Pelosi in a television commercial supporting Al Gore’s global warming claptrap, who lobbied (or gave history lessons) for Freddie Mac and earned himself $1.6 million, who has supported cap-and-trade legislation and individual healthcare mandates (just like Romney and Obama) and has proven himself to be a political chameleon and as big a corporatist as any who ever inhabited Washington, D.C. Despite all of those things, Gingrich is climbing to the top of the Republican beauty contest. And people who claim to be conservatives are hopping on his bus.

Gingrich should be anathema to conservatives. In fact, for all the reasons Romney hasn’t appealed to conservatives, Gingrich can go one (at least) better: flip-flops, crony capitalism, would have voted for TARP, supports ethanol subsidies and, as recently as this summer, said he supported Federal mandates on purchasing health insurance (which he first did while lobbying for the healthcare industry) and a lover of wars, wars and more wars — oh, yes, and he believes in stripping Americans of their citizenship if they oppose the government.

In reading comments posted to neocon-supporting websites, the message seems to be, “Newt stinks, but anything is better than Obama.”

Such a meme proves the left/right paradigm remains firmly locked in place. George W. Bush was bad, Democrats love to say, because of the wars, bailouts and budget deficits. Obama is bad, Republicans love to say, because of the wars, bailouts and budget deficits. Gingrich will be better than Obama, Republicans say, because even though Gingrich supports wars and bailouts and budget deficits, his name is followed by an “R” rather than a “D.”

If you are truly a conservative, then Newt stinks — that is true — and so does Romney. But how does placing an “R” after a candidate’s name make the stink any more tolerable than the one we’re getting from the current “D” stinker? The only difference will be which group of corporatists get richer over the next four years. Fascism and tyranny will continue unabated, and government will continue to grow.

The Truth Teller--Joe Biden?

Did you fall off your chair when you read the title? Many would not think that the "out of control mouth" could be labeled as a "truth teller."  It is our opinion that it might not be truth that always emanates from the Bidenator,  it definitely will be what the current administration is thinking, or at least his opinion of its thought process. We  have seen it before and believe that as long as he is Vice President we will continue to him spout off.

This latest episode puts to rest the liberal rant of "it is Bush's fault."  No longer can that phrase be used. Democratic strategists must be very angry as it takes away their greatest catch phrase. Republicans will play this latest blast from Biden over and over.

Now that we know the economy is Obama's fault, what tact can they take in his re-election bid? It will be interesting. He has blasted the Congressional Black Caucus, today his approval numbers were reported  to have dropped to 39%, his Middle East attitudes lost Weiner's seat in New Year and his Vice President can't keep his mouth closed.  What is a President to do?

Dick Morris thinks there is a chance he will pull an LBJ and not run for re-election.  With each passing day, that could become a reality. However, in our poll of our readers, 80% thought that he would run. The remaining are more on our side. If he did pull out, who would be the candidate? Biden? Hillary? Pilosi? Harry Reed?

Tell us what you think.  We are listening.

Joe Biden’s moment of candor

By Armstrong Williams - 09/30/11 12:36 PM ET
Say what you will about the vice president, but Joe Biden has one helluva mouth on him. Whether it’s telling the president in front of a large crowd (and a very hot mic) this is one big … er, well, you know … or telling a key swing presidential state that his boss is to blame for its financial woes, he’s nothing if he ain’t honest.

Early yesterday (while on a campaign swing, mind you), Joe Biden missed a key talking point while visiting a local Florida radio station. Apparently, the abysmal state of America’s economy is no longer former President Bush’s fault, but his own!

“There’s a lot of people in Florida that have good reason to be upset because they’ve lost jobs," Biden told WLRN in the interview. "Even though 50 some percent of the American people think the economy tanked because of the last administration, that's not relevant.

"What’s relevant is, we’re in charge. And right now, we are the ones in charge, and it’s gotten better but it hasn't gotten good enough. And in states like Florida it's even been more stagnant because of the real estate market.”

And now here come the RNC attack ads, Mr. Vice President …

Look, it seems everyone in the country BUT the White House knows the Obama administration has underperformed in fixing the economy. I’m just glad someone high in the administration finally admitted it.

The sad truth here is there is still time to turn this economy around and take credit for it. If Obama would quit the shrill complaining and finger-pointing and go about responsibly addressing the nation’s woes, his handlers wouldn’t have to worry about Joe Biden going off the reservation.
