Because I am a “lifer” in the military, I’ve seen the impact of a president more than many of you can imagine.  I enlisted with LBJ and saw just what a Democrat clusterflock was all about.  I went to Vietnam and saw how we were constantly and incessantly bombarded with micromanagement from Washington that got thousands of military people killed.  I sometimes wonder if I’ll get to heaven, but if I go to hell, I’m sure I’ll still be a few hundred floors above that bastard Robert McNamara , LBJ, John Kerry, Jane Fonda, and yes, even the “hero” John McCain.
 
After Johnson “abdicated” rather than having his ass waxed, I lived through Nixon who was hawkish but allowed the generals (and there WERE a few real generals back then versus now) run the show.  He was so out of touch that he never knew North Vietnam was about to surrender when the Paris Accord was presented.
 
Only God could help us after Gerald Ford was beaten by Jimmy Peanuts who’d been funded by Saudi money.  The military was turned into Section 8 and even the Whitehouse suffered the austerity.
 
Then the light began to shine and Ronald Reagan swept into the fray.  He not only loved the country and the military, they loved him back.  Esprit d’corps was off the scale during his presidency.  The Liberals were slowly turning into socialists, however, and about this time all the draft dodgers of the 1960’s who’d been given amnesty by Jimmy Peanuts were turning out college graduates with degrees in socialism.
 
Bush 1 was an enigma from the CIA and though he never did much either way, he NEVER DID MUCH EITHER WAY.
 
Welcome to Bill Clinton.  Clinton spent most of his two terms wagging the dog and creating the Oral Office, sending a bomber to blow up Quaddafi’s tent and killing a goat or two, while allowing the UN to set up the infamous Black Hawk Down situation.  He made history by becoming only the second president to be impeached.
 
I actually felt sorry for Bush 2.  He was doomed to infamy from the start.  He thought most of America was still the rah rah patriots of WWII when they were simply socialists waiting to feed him to the sharks.
 
Then there came the Manchurian Candidate with a faked (OK Democrats, let’s say “of questionable origin” to assuage your PC brains) birth certificate, who’d gotten a free ride through college under a foreign student exemption, and whose college records and complete life history had been sealed.  (We know more about Thomas Jefferson’s bastard children than we do about Obama, Michelle, OR their two kids)  From his inaugural address, he slandered America and within days had begun to encourage dissention of the races as well as slandering police who “acted stupidly.”  That was mild to the crap that would come in doubling the national debt from what had been built by ALL THE PREVIOUS PRESIDENTS COMBINED, feeding us bullshit about how Muslims built this country, and nationalizing American industries.  Fueled by George Soros’ money and using the Air Force fleet as his personal charters, he appointed malcontents and traitors into positions of authority.  He trashed the Constitution by installing “czars” (interesting he chose a title like that) to bypass Congressional authority.  By that time, Congress was completely corrupt on both sides of the aisle.  No one had balls to impeach this charlatan.
 
Mysteriously, the lone outspoken conservative Supreme Court Justice suddenly dies in his sleep at an Obama pal’s hunting lodge and the Supreme Court is evenly split.  Finally, Congress shows some balls and rejects Obama’s nomination.  The Libertards aren’t worried because the fix is in. Soros has paid demonstrators to cause turmoil at all the Republican gatherings, Obama concedes that illegal aliens should vote as they won’t be prosecuted, and Soros-manufactured voting machines are caught switching votes in certain precincts.  Hillary has cheated her way to the nomination and her lies are completely ignored by the brainwashed minions of sycophants who follow her.
 
But a shocking thing happened on the way to the forum.
 
Middle America had had enough and although the pollsters and the pipers tried to convince them not even to bother to vote, they were fed up with the denizens of the swamp.  It was time.  Florida was designated a “swing” state ignoring that all those old retirees living in St. Petersburg, and the fed up Cuban Americans of Miami weren’t interested in their platform.  Ohio and Pennsylvania, where coal production was blacklisted and where Obama had ridiculed them for “clinging to their Bibles and their guns,” lay awaiting this supposed “landslide” Hillary vote and creamed it.
 
The Socialist world of the Democratic Party disintegrated. An American who expressed unbridled love of country and respect for police, firemen, and military steamrolled across the heartland and the liberals realized their scheme was trashed.  A CONSTITUTIONALIST would be nominated to the Supreme Court and if the old hag Ginsburg who’d claimed to retire if Trump were elected would actually leave, the Supreme Court would have a massive majority of CONSTITUTIONALISTS for the next 40-50 years.
 
Now, the same party who’d ridiculed Trump on his comments about the election being rigged, started screaming that the election was rigged.  They even advocated having the election repeated.  They created mobs that burned and pillaged, stopped traffic, threatened murder, battery and rape of Trump supporters, and became the anarchists that the socialist dream thrives upon.  They run like castrated pigs for safe zones and use diaper pins as their national symbol.
 
This is exactly what happens when political correctness takes over and participation trophies are awarded to everyone.  They can’t conceive how disgusting and subservient they have become.  Donald Trump may NOT be the best person for the job, but he’s such a welcome respite from the candy-assed whimps who’ve been running the swamp that it’s refreshing to see.  At the very least, Donald Trump derailed the Socialist train and bought us precious time.  If he only does half of what he’s promised, we’ll still be legions ahead of where Obama has dragged us.  Already countries who held us in contempt are lining up to be found in the favor of America.
 
So for you liberal lurkers and you half-assed fence-sitters, f off!  You had your big hurrah and now your party is over.  For you staunch Republicans in office, don’t gloat so much yourselves.  You’ve been put on notice by the American people that we’re fed up with ALL YOU BASTARDS and if you don’t start putting America first, you do so at your own peril.  You might want to buy a copy of George McGovern’s autobiography and see how shocking and humbling it can be for a professional politician to have to try to find legitimate work once he falls from grace. 
 
This election was pure, unadulterated AMERICAN.  Hillary got beaten and AMERICA WON THE ELECTION. You can claim he’s not “your president” all you want, but unless you forfeit your American citizenship,

30-Year Muslim Plan To Control America Has Six Years To Go

Twenty-five years ago, Muslim Brotherhood spiritual leader Yusuf al-Qaradwai traveled to America and unpacked his plan for a Muslim takeover that would begin one year later and take 30 years to complete. It included a key component and tactic known asMuruna. Like the Ebola virus, it is extremely effective at carrying out its deadly mission.

Since discovering a shocking photo earlier this year that showed al-Qaradawi at the Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Falls Church, VA with then mosque chairman Bassam Estwani, a third figure in the photo has been overlooked – until now. Shoebat.com has determined that the man sitting between al-Qaradawi and Estwani is Shaker Elsayed, the current Imam at Dar al-Hijrah (2005 – present) and former Secretary General of the Muslim American Society (MAS), a Muslim Brotherhood front group (2000-2005).

Dar al-Hijrah was opened in 1991 and MAS was founded in 1992, seven years before al-Qaradawi was banned from the U.S. in 1999. Elsayed did not become an Imam at Dar al-Hijrah until 2005. Yet, somehow he was able to have a seat at the table with al-Qaradawi inside Dar al-Hijrah years before becoming a leader with MAS.

Elsayed’s history with Estwani, who has been a mover and shaker with U.S. politicians – to include Bill and Hillary Clinton as early as 1995 – dates back to about the same time frame. Here is a more recent photo of Estwani and Elsayed in Honolulu, Hawaii:

As Shoebat.com reported, al-Qaradawi is the primary scholar of an insidious Sunni Islamic tactic known as Muruna. Westerners have rightly begun to understand Taqiyya – lying to protect the faith of Islam – but this is a Shiite term and practice. Muruna is a much more immediate threat to the U.S. In fact, any Muslim Brotherhood infiltrator of the U.S. Government is very likely employing it right now.

Though the photo of the three men inside Dar al-Hijrah is undated, it was likely taken circa 1997, nearly a decade after al-Qaradawi introduced Muruna to stealth Muslim Brotherhood operatives in the U.S. Thanks to Steve Emerson’s 1994 PBS documentary Jihad in America, we have a screen shot of what al-Qaradawi looked like the year he brought perhaps the most deceptive Muslim tactic yet to America’s shores and inside our walls:

Of course, what can be concluded is that al-Qaradawi’s plan was in full swing as he spoke at Dar al-Hijrah. Muruna had most certainly been introduced to Elsayed and Estwani. In the case of al-Qaradawi and Elsayed’s MAS, Muslim youths were targeted specifically.

It was al-Qaradawi who introduced Muruna to the American Muslim community in December of 1989 at the annual conference of the Association of Muslim Youth Forums.The Muslim Brotherhood leader introduced this tactic along with a 30-year plan (1990-2020) of conquest for Muslims in the U.S. It would include a tactic that would permit Islamic prohibitions:

Muruna was designed to catapult and advance Sharia by using Western means. If one thinks that Sharia, with its harsh code, is problematic enough, how about the elimination of the kinder, gentler laws? Muruna is literally accomplished by permitting behavior normally so eschewed by Sharia that Westerners logically assume a more moderate version of Islam when such prohibitions are suddenly permitted. Westerners’ eyes are, in fact, deceiving them. Muruna is about going to great lengths to gain interests through a much deeper level of deception while simultaneously lowering the guard and gaining the support of the infidels.

An archived page of the MAS website from 2003 – smack dab in the middle of Elsayed’s tenure there – states the following:

The call and the spirit of the movement reached the shores of North America with arrival of the Muslim student and immigrants in the late 50’s and early 60’s. These early pioneers and Islamic Movement followers established in 1963. Muslim Student Association (MSA) of U.S and Canada as the rallying point in their endeavor to serve Islam and Muslims in the North America scene. Other services and outreach organization soon followed, such as North America Islamic Trust (NAIT), Islamic Medical Association (IMA), Muslim Arab Youth Association (MAYA) and Muslim Youth of North America (MYNA), to name a few.

MAS was founded just two years after the commencement of al-Qaradawi’s 30-year plan and set out to follow al-Qaradawi’s prescription to the letter. A few years later, the man who would become MAS Secretary General was taking notes as al-Qaradawi spoke inside a mosque that would be visited by three 9/11 hijackers and Fort Hood jihadist Nidal Malik Hasan, who was inspired by Anwar al-Awlaki, a man who served as the Imam of the mosque at the time of the 9/11 attacks; an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing named Mohammed al-Hanooti became the mosque’s Imam in 1995. Ten years later, Elsayed would be a successor to Hanooti as Imam of Dar al-Hijrah, a position he holds today.

In March of 2000, Estwani wrote a letter to President Clinton, which he handed to Clinton personally (this is backed up by Clinton’s handwritten notes appearing on the letter). It included the following:

I was also honored in being given the opportunity to invite you personally to visit our Islamic center and mosque in Falls Church, Virginia (Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center), which is considered one of the most active and largest Islamic centers in the United States. I have been repeatedly honored by your invitations and warm receptions at the white house, especially at the Breakfast Prayers since September 1995. You and the first lady have graciously hosted the Muslim community on several occasions and we are eternally grateful for your and her gracious hospitality and reception. We wish her and you the best always.

It is more than a little conceivable that the chairman of Dar al-Hijrah would not only curry favor from the Office of the White House but also seek protection of his mosque from a government that never likes to eat crow or hold its superiors accountable. With each photo taken of Estwani with prominent politicians – and there is a treasure trove that includes Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Rep. Dennis Kucinich, Speaker Dennis Hastert, Senator Warner, Rep. Jim Moran, Rep. Thomas Davis, Rep. Cynthia McKinney, Hillary Clinton and others – the more cover he’d get. Not exposing Dar al-Hijrah to complete sunlight had the effect of protecting the office of the President of the United States. As Shoebat.comreported, Clinton’s successor George W. Bush had additional reasons to protect Clinton.

How the case of Anwar al-Awlaki was handled is very instructive. Thanks to documents obtained in a Freedom of Information Act request filed by Judicial Watch, it was revealed just how interested the FBI was in al-Awlaki in the days, weeks, and months after 9/11. In particular, they were interested in his associations with those three hijackers. What has not been demonstrated is the FBI’s interest in al-Awlaki’s superiors and colleagues at the mosque.

Any honest pursuit of al-Awlaki would have led to overturning a rock that revealed al-Hanooti, Estwani, Elsayed, their connections to al-Qaradawi and ultimately to a much larger Muslim Brotherhood agenda that included a 30-year plan. Instead, as the documents indicate, there was significant tension between the 9/11 Commission investigators and the National Commission on Terrorism (NCT) over access to al-Awlaki. While NCT had maintained contact with al-Awlaki, who said he was willing to talk to authorities, the 9/11 Commission failed to locate him and certainly seemed to get resistance from NCT.

Conventional wisdom has been that al-Awlaki became an informant. In 2002, he was permitted to escape to Yemen despite an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Could it be that his release was more about protecting the careers, reputations, and legacies of politicians duped by Muruna, a tactic that continues to be both used by the enemy and ignored by our leaders? As further evidence of this, consider the Fort Hood jihad attack that saw 14 dead and 32 wounded . There was an al-Awlaki connection in the form of several emails between he and the shooter, who also attended Dar al-Hijrah. The attack would ultimately be labeled ‘workplace violence’ and the victims were not afforded the honors and benefits they deserved. Nearly two years prior to Hasan being found guilty and convicted, al-Awlaki was killed in a drone strike in Yemen; dead men tell no tales.

The man credited with hiring al-Awlaki at Dar al-Hijrah is Esam Omeish, who served as the head of MAS after Elsayed became Imam there in 2005, as Shoebat.com reported.

During the time that al-Awlaki was the Imam at Dar al-Hijrah, he was also a Chaplain who sat on the Muslim Students Association (MSA) Board with Esam’s brother Mohamed Omeish at George Washington University (GWU).

In addition to Elsayed being one of Al-Awlaki’s successors as Imam at Dar al-Hijrah, there’s evidence that al-Awlaki was a colleague of Elsayed at MAS, courtesy of another FBI document obtained by Judicial Watch. The document refers to both Awlaki and an Imam named Suhaib Webb as possibly being “associated” with MAS; both men attended a fundraiser as colleagues just two days prior to the 9/11 attacks.

It was Shoebat.com that reported on Webb’s attendance at the U.S.-Islamic World Forum (US-IWF) in 2009 as a representative of MAS. Then Commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) David Petraeus was one of the forum’s speakers. Webb, who’d been the Imam of the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City (ISGOC) attended by Alton Nolen who beheaded a woman last month, would later become the Imam of the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center attended by the Boston Marathon bombers.

Webb also has a connection to Dar al-Hijrah through its current outreach director Johari Abdul-Malik and unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing Siraj Wahhaj. Wahhaj is the Imam at the Brooklyn mosque attended multiple times by Sheikh Omar Abdelrahman (the “Blind Sheikh”) convicted as the mastermind in that attack. Webb wrote glowingly of Wahhaj after visiting the mosque in 2008, as Shoebat.com reported.

Muruna in Practice
A perfect example of Muruna would include a Muslim woman marrying a Jewish man if it afforded her stealth and cover while gaining access to power centers. Consider Huma Abedin, the very close adviser to Hillary Clinton who served as then Secretary of State Clinton’s Deputy Chief of Staff. In 2010, she married a Jewish man who also happened to be a U.S. Congressman – Anthony Weiner. Ironically, Bill Clinton presided over the ceremony. Circa 1996, Abedin became an assistant editor with the Institute of Muslim Minority Affairs (IMMA), an institution with the goal of converting all Muslim minority lands into Muslim majority lands.

To bring this all back to al-Qaradawi, consider that Abedin’s mother Saleha Mahmood (Abedin) is also one of 63 leaders of the Muslim Sisterhood as Shoebat.com first revealed. Serving as an associate editor with Huma was her brother Hassan Abedin. The IMMA was founded by a Saudi named Abdullah Omar Naseeef, who also served on the Institute’s Board for several years.

As Shoebat.com also revealed, Hassan Abedin and Naseef also served with none other than Yusuf al-Qaradawi on the Board of the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OCIS) from 2004-2008.

To illustrate just how effective Muruna can be, KFI 640 talk show host Bill Carroll interviewed Walid in June of 2011, shortly after we discovered Abedin’s familial connections to the Muslim Brotherhood. This interview took place prior to our discovery of Muruna and one of the chief reasons that Carroll dismissed our findings had to do with Abedin’s marriage to Weiner:

Obama's Mideast Legacy Is One of Tragic Failure by Alan M. The eight disastrous Obama years follow eight disastrous George W. Bush years, during which that part of the world became more dangerous as well. So have many other international hot spots. In sum, the past 16 years have seen major foreign policy blunders all over the world, and most especially in the area between Libya and Iran — that includes Israel, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Turkey and the Gulf. With regard to the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, the Obama policies have made the prospects for a compromise peace more difficult to achieve. When Israel felt that America had its back — under both Presidents Clinton and George W. Bush — they offered generous proposals to end settlements and occupation in nearly all of the West Bank. Tragically the Palestinian leadership — first under Yasser Arafat and then under Mahmoud Abbas — did not accept either offers from Israel Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Clinton in 2000-2001, nor Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's offer in 2008. Now they are ignoring current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's open offer to negotiate with no preconditions. In his brilliant book chronicling American-Israeli relationship, Doomed To Succeed, Dennis Ross proves conclusively that whenever the Israeli government has confidence in America's backing, it has been more willing to make generous compromise offers than when it has reason to doubt American support. Obama did not understand this crucial reality. Instead of having Israel's back, he repeatedly stabbed Israel in the back, beginning with his one-sided Cairo speech near the beginning of his tenure, continuing with his failure to enforce the red line on chemical weapons use by Syria, then allowing a sunset provision to be included in the Iran deal, and culminating in his refusal to veto the one-sided UN Security Council resolution, which placed the lion's share of blame on the Israelis for the current stalemate. Obama's one-sided Cairo speech, on June 4, 2009, took place before a large number of Islamic sheikhs and members of the Muslim Brotherhood. (Image source: White House) These ill-advised actions — especially the Security Council resolution — have disincentivized the Palestinian leadership from accepting Netanyahu's offer to sit down and negotiation a compromise peace. They have been falsely led to believe that they can achieve statehood through the United Nations, or by other means that do not require compromise. The Iran deal, while it delayed Iran's acquisition of nuclear weapons, virtually guaranteed that it would be allowed to develop a nuclear arsenal as soon as the major restrictions on the deal expire in the next decade. Israel will never allow a regime sworn to the destruction of the nation-state of the Jewish people to secure such a weapon. So the likelihood of an eventual dangerous military confrontation has been increased, rather than decreased, by the poorly negotiated Iran deal. Obama's failure to carry out his red-line threat against the Syrian regime's use of chemical weapons has weakened American credibility among its allies and adversaries alike. It has created a power vacuum that Russia was quick to fill. Turkey, too, has flexed its bullying muscles, as its irascible and egomaniacal leader has used the excuse of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) to go after another American ally, the Kurds, who have at least as strong a claim to statehood as the Palestinians. America's traditional allies in the Middle East — Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan — have all been weakened by Obama's policies, most especially the Iran deal. America's traditional enemies — Iran, Syria and Hezbollah — have been strengthened, along with Turkey. Terrorism has increased and moved northward to Europe, partly as a result of the Syrian crisis. ISIS, al Qaeda, the Taliban and other terrorist offshoots, though weakened, remain a serious threat to regional stability and to civilians. A destabilized Middle East poses increasing dangers to American allies and to peace. The blame for this instability is shared by Presidents George W. Bush and Obama. The invasion of Iraq and the overthrow of Saddam Hussein divided that country, rendering it ungovernable, and invited Iran to play a major role in its current destabilized condition. The toppling of Moammar Gadhafi left Libya open to increasing terrorist influences. The attempt to replace Bashar Assad has turned Syria into a nightmare. The forced resignation of Hosni Mubarak initially placed Egypt under the control of the Muslim Brotherhood, and strengthened Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Only a coup, opposed by the Obama administration, restored some semblance of stability to Egypt. Lebanon has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hezbollah, a terrorist group under the influence of Iran that has 100,000 missiles aimed at Israel's population centers. The "Shiite arc" now runs from Iran through parts of Iraq and Syria and into Lebanon. This is the tragic legacy of the Obama administration's failed efforts to undo the harms caused by the George W. Bush administration. Radical Islamic terrorists have replaced authoritarian secular tyrants. Both are bad, but tyrants at least produce a degree of stability and predictability. They also tend to keep their tyranny domestic, whereas terrorists tend to export their evil tactics. We should have learned the lesson from the replacement of the tyrannical Shah of Iran by the far more tyrannical and dangerous ayatollahs. But we did not. We insisted on supporting the "democracy" of the Arab spring, which resulted in the replacement of undemocratic domestic tyrants by undemocratic international terrorists. History will look kindly on Obama's domestic successes, but it will judge his mideast policy harshly. Alan M. Taunted by Republicans to declare war on "radical Islamic terrorism," Democrats are turning to an unlikely ally: George W. Bush.

President Barack Obama, under pressure to be more aggressive on terrorism, regularly cites his predecessor's refusal to demonize Muslims or play into the notion of a clash between Islam and the West. It's a striking endorsement from a president whose political rise was predicated on opposition to the Iraq war and Bush's hawkish approach in the Middle East.

As Hillary Clinton put it, "George W. Bush was right."

Laying out her plan to fight domestic terrorism, Clinton reminded voters in Minneapolis earlier this month of Bush's visit to a Muslim center six days after the Sept. 11 attacks. She even quoted his words from that day about those who intimidate Muslim-Americans: "They represent the worst of humankind, and they should be ashamed of that kind of behavior."

Bush, of course, was not referring to the 2016 Republican presidential field. Clinton certainly was.

Donald Trump has called for a temporary ban on Muslims entering the U.S. — then enjoyed a bump in the polls. Ben Carson deems traditional Muslims unfit for the presidency. Marco Rubio warns of a "civilizational struggle against radical, apocalyptic Islam," making a distinction, at least, between ordinary Muslims and extremists. Ted Cruz berates Clinton and Obama incessantly for refusing to declare war on "radical Islamic terrorism."

Clinton and Obama argue that rhetoric just helps the Islamic State group and likeminded extremists, whose recruitment pitch is based on the narrative of an apocalyptic battle between Islam and the West. The Democrats warned that proposals like Trump's Muslim ban jeopardize national security, drawing a contrast with Bush.

"I was very proud after 9/11 when he was adamant and clear about the fact that this is not a war on Islam," Obama said recently. His message to today's Republican leaders: "They should follow his example. It was the right one. It was the right impulse."

Sen. Bernie Sanders, Clinton's top challenger for the Democratic nomination, visited a mosque this month in a show of solidarity that evoked Bush's after 9/11. And the Democratic National Committee released an ad contrasting comments by the 2016 GOP contenders with footage of Bush declaring that "Islam is peace."

All of that marks a rare departure for a party that has spent the last decade slamming the former president — to much electoral success. After all, even many of the Republican candidates, even if in retrospect, have criticized the war in Iraq, where Islamic State militants now control part of the country and are seeking to export terrorism around the world.

But Bush's example has become particularly poignant for Democrats following recent terrorist attacks in Paris and California that have left people more preoccupied with terrorism than at any time since 9/11. Both Clinton and Obama have sought to deflect the critique that they're too soft on the domestic terrorism threat.

"There weren't a lot of policy decisions that I agreed with George W. Bush on, but I was never going to call him weak on terror," said Mo Elleithee, a longtime Democratic Party official who now runs Georgetown University's Institute of Politics and Public Service.

Not all Republican candidates have been as harsh about Muslims as Trump has been. Jeb Bush has joined his GOP challengers in describing the enemy as "radical Islamic terrorism." But he's also said the U.S. should follow his brother's lead, arguing in the last GOP debate that "we can't dissociate ourselves from peace-loving Muslims."

During the 2001 mosque visit, one of several occasions Bush denounced anti-Muslim bias, he stood alongside Muslim leaders and quoted the Quran about evil-doers being ultimately defeated. He insisted that intimidation against Muslims in America would not stand.

"The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam," Bush said.

The former president has stayed mostly silent throughout the recent debate. His spokesman, Freddy Ford, recently said Bush wouldn't comment on "Trump's bluster" but repeated Bush's insistence that "true Islam is peaceful." Ford declined to discuss what Bush thinks about Democrats quoting him now.

Muslim groups have called on Obama to follow Bush's example by visiting a mosque, a move that would be risky for a president who has faced longstanding but false claims that he is a Muslim. White House officials didn't rule out the possibility Obama would visit a mosque, but said there were no imminent plans to do so.

"Bush sent a very powerful message to the world and American Muslims that backlash and attacks on this faith community will not be tolerated," said Ibrahim Cooper of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. "We would hope President Obama would make a similar gesture."
