Border Patrol Union: Trump’s Border Plan ‘Gives Us the Tools We Need’

As President Donald J. Trump prepares to kick off his new border security plan, various news outlets have begun to criticize the effort by focusing on the border wall. However, members from the union representing the men and women from the U.S. Border Patrol stated that the proposal comes from listening to agents instead of politicians.

Various outlets have continued to question the notion of building a border wall and have focused on the perceived challenges of such an enterprise. Other outlets have criticized the effectiveness of the measure claiming that it does not address the current immigration crisis. The various news organizations have failed to mention the complete control that Mexican drug cartels have over human smuggling, narcotics trafficking, and other illicit activities along both sides of the border.
The executive orders that President Trump will be signing provides border security agents with the tools that they have been denied for too long, said Hector Garza, a U.S. Border Patrol agent and the President for the Local 2455 of the National Border Patrol Council. As part of the union’s leadership, Garza is able to speak about issues affecting the men and women that he represents.
Despite the many misconceptions by pundits and individuals who have not been to the border, a wall with the addition of new manpower, surveillance technology and other equipment will be an effective tool in slowing down illegal immigration and drug smuggling, Garza said.
“We know we won’t have a wall along the 2,000 miles of border,” he said. “What we will have is a wall where it is needed. That barrier with proper manpower, resources, technology and other tools will be effective. But most important, for the first time we have a president that wants to secure the border.”
Through the NBPC, agents have been able to relay vital information to Trump and his staff about the realities of the border and what is needed in each particular sector.
“During the previous administration, we had a president that failed to acknowledge the problems on the border. Now, we have a president that not only acknowledges the problems, but is willing to give us the tools needed to address them.”

Agent Notices Something Strange About

Border Patrol SUV, Shocked to Find

This Inside

Border Patrol agents in Texas noticed something strange while driving behind
what they thought was one of their own Border Patrol vehicles recently. The
SUV didn’t have the overhead mounted lights that are standard on all of their
vehicles.
When agents pulled over the suspicious SUV, they found 12 illegal aliens
huddled like sardines in the back of the vehicle.
The strange thing is, the human smugglers managed to travel nearly 70 miles
into Texas before being discovered.
The incident happened on Interstate 35 at mile marker 65 near the town

of Cotulla. That would be located nearly seventy miles into Texas. A border

patrol agent became suspicious of the cloned vehicle while he was following

it, Border Patrol Agent Hector Garza told Breitbart Texas while acting in his

capacity as president of the National Border Patrol Council, Local 2455.

After stopping the suspicious vehicle the driver was arrested and the agent

found 12 illegal aliens stuffed inside the Chevy Tahoe that had been painted

with Border Patrol vehicle markings.
“This shows the level of deviousness and desperation these smugglers

will stoop to in order to deliver their cargo,” Garza said in an interview with

Breitbart Texas. “They will not stop. Whether they are smuggling drug,

humans or terrorists, to them it is just about the money.”
Garza said the 12 illegal aliens stuffed in a Tahoe shows

the total disregard for human life these smugglers show

towards the people they haul. “If this vehicle had become

involved in a high-speed chase, it could have been

catastrophic.”
The vehicle was painted to look like a Tahoe regularly

used by the U.S. Border Patrol. It did not have any

overhead lights normally found on the vehicles. It did;

however, have a light bar mounted on the dashboard

and the rear view mirror had been removed. It appears

the rear seats may have been removed in order to

stuff more people into the vehicle.
Given the lengths that these human smugglers will go to and the disregard
they have for their human cargo, don’t you think it’s about time we
secured our southern border and made it more difficult for these
criminals to carry out their activities?

Of Course, There Are Syrians Coming Across Our Southern Border. Probably Thousands Have Illegally Come Here!

Invasion: Syrians Caught Trying
 to Enter THIS State

Where there's a will, there's a way. Syrian infiltrators
have been caught at the border in Texas:
Two federal agents operating under the

umbrella of U.S. Customs and Border

Protection (CBP) are claiming that eight Syrian illegal aliens attempted to

enter Texas from Mexico in the Laredo Sector. The federal agents spoke

with Breitbart Texas on the condition of anonymity, however, a local

president of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) confirmed that

Laredo Border Patrol agents have been officially contacting the organization

with concerns over reports from other federal agents about Syrians illegally

entering the country in the Laredo Sector. The reports have caused a stir

among the sector’s Border Patrol agents.

The sources claimed that eight Syrians were apprehended on Monday,

November 16, 2015. According to the sources, the Syrians were in two

separate “family units” and were apprehended at the Juarez Lincoln Bridge

in Laredo, Texas, also known officially as Port of Entry 1.

Border Patrol agent and NBPC Local 2455 President Hector Garza told

Breitbart Texas, “Border Patrol agents who we represent have been

contacting our organization to voice concerns about reports from other

agents that Syrians crossed the U.S. border from Mexico in the Laredo

Sector. Our agents have heard about Syrians being apprehended in the area

from other federal agents.” Agent Garza added, “At this time, I cannot confirm

or deny that Syrians have crossed, for security reasons.”
Whether or not these were refugees looking for safety and prosperity or those looking to do
us harm is unclear, but the reality remains that Syrians are going to do whatever they can
to get here, regardless of their intentions.

Illegal immigrants picked up after sneaking across the U.S.-Mexico border – and then released to await hearings – are reportedly getting onto commercial planes without any ID other than "a simple paper document that anyone can easily alter or reproduce."

An outraged local spokesman for the National Border Patrol Council, Hector Garza, toldBreitbart News the security threat from the lax policy "is absolutely unacceptable."

"The aliens who are getting released on their own recognizance are being allowed to board and travel commercial airliners by simply showing their Notice to Appear [hearing] forms," he told Breitbart in an interview posted Friday.

"We do not know who these people are. We often have to solely rely on who they say they are, where they say they came from, and the history they say they have.

"We know nothing about most of them. [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] releases them into the American public, and now they are boarding aircraft at will with a simple paper document that anyone can easily alter or reproduce themselves."

Allowing them unrestricted travel access "just adds insult to injury," he said.

"Not only are we releasing unknown illegal aliens onto American streets, but we are allowing them to travel commercially using paperwork that could easily be reproduced or manipulated on any home computer," he charged.

Garza warned the practice has wider implications.

"The threat this poses from terrorists upon the American people is absolutely unacceptable," he said.

"Central Americans are not the only people crossing our border and being released. Does anyone actually think that cartels and other criminal or possible terrorist organizations are not taking advantage of the fact that we are having to leave our border wide open while we reassign the majority of our agents to process family units and minors? Of course this situation is being exploited by such threats."

The national Border Patrol Council released a statement warning the practice will worsen problems triggered by the recent influx of illegal immigrants, including some 52,000 unaccompanied children since last October.

"The National Border Patrol Council adamantly opposes the decision of [the Department of Homeland Security] to release the illegal aliens who have been transported from the Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol Sector to other locations for processing," the group stated.

"The lack of consequences has furthered this crisis and will only continue to do so. The fact that TSA is accepting the [Notice to Appear] as a form of identification and allowing illegal aliens to travel commercially shows just how little regard the federal government has for its own immigration laws."

The Transportation Security Administration didn't immediately comment to Breitbart about the report.

The revelations came just three days after President Barack Obama asked Congress for an emergency $3.7 billion to contain the surge of illegal immigrants, most from Central America, crossing into the United States from Mexico.
