Israel Released Prisoners And They Return The Favor By Attacking Israelis. Insanity?

Released Palestinian Prisoner Caught Planning Terrorist Attacks

“The fear of the Lord leads to life, and whoever has it rests satisfied; he will not be visited by harm.” (Proverbs 19:23)

The Shin Bet, Israel’s internal security service, declassified a report in which it announced that along with police, it had arrested a former Palestinian security prisoner who was plotting to kidnap Israeli citizens.

The plot was to take place in the northern Israeli town of Avtalion. The suspect was also found attempting to carry out numerous terror attacks against Israelis in the Misgav regional council, as well as planning to set fire to a forest near Carmiel in northern Israel.
The suspect, Murad Mahmoud Hassan Ali Hassin, 25, admitted to the Shin Bet after interrogation that he entered a home in Avtalion on April 19 with the intention of kidnapping a sleeping member of the house.
Armed with a knife, Hassin said that he was planning on using the kidnapped Israeli as a bargaining chip for the release of imprisoned Palestinians. Hassin’s attempt was unsuccessful as he was chased out of the home by the owner.
Hassin also admitted to the Shin Bet that he was responsible to throwing Molotov cocktails at passing Israeli vehicles near Avtalion days after the failed kidnapping attempt. Several days after the firebombing attacks, Hassin stated that he tried to set fire to a nearby forest.
Hassin, a native of the West Bank city of Jenin, told the Shin Bet that he acted alone. However, Israeli intelligence officers said that Hassin was successful in persuading other Palestinians to take part in the attacks. Living in Israel illegally, Hassin is believed to have ties with the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization.
He has previously served two years in an Israeli prison for a botched stabbing attack on an IDF soldier. Hassin has been charged with attempted kidnapping with the intent of murder or extortion, breaking and entering, aggravated assault, attempted robbery, and intentionally endangering human life.

Different Day, Same Results--Rockets Into Israel. The Truth Behind The Mideast Peace Talks. When Is The Western World Going To Get The Message That The Palestinian Leadership Does NOT Want Peace!

Terrorists Greet Hamas-Fatah Unity with Rocket Attacks on Israel

The last one out of the Peace Talks Cemetery is requested to please lock the gate and throw the key away.
Hamas terrorists prepare their version of peace.

Terrorists from Hamas-controlled Gaza attacked southern Israel with two rockets Wednesday evening, just about at the same time that the U.S. State Dept. woke up out of a stupor and managed to say it was “disappointed” in the unity announcement by Hamas and Fatah earlier in the day.
The missiles exploded in open areas near the Gaza security fence and in the Sha’ar HaNegev area, which includes the town of Sderot and surrounding farming moshaviim and kibbutzim. No injuries nor property damage was reported.
Earlier in the day, the IDF pre-empted a planned terrorist attack uncovered by the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) and carried out an aerial attack on a terrorist, missing the target who reportedly was riding a motorcycle in northern Gaza.. Several Arabs were wounded.
The rocket attacks, both those planned and the two carried out, sent a clear message, except to the international community that has long lost its senses of vision and hearing.
U.S. State Dept. spokeswoman t old reporters at the daily media briefing that the United States is “disappointed” at the unity pact announced by Hamas and Fatah, led by Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas.
“The timing was troubling and we were certainly disappointed in the announcement,” State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said at the daily news briefing.
“This could seriously complicate our efforts. Not just our efforts but the efforts of the parties to extend their negotiations.”
Repeat: “This could seriously complicate our efforts.”
Not really, because the Obama administration complicated “efforts” from the word “go” nine months ago. “Negotiations” have been non-existent because Abbas has left nothing to be negotiated.
He simply has agreed to do Israeli a big favor and give it nine months to turn over 104 terrorists, many of them lifers, in return for nine months in which Abbas does not go to the United Nations for unilateral declaration of the Palestinian Authority as an independent country.
Following the announcement of the Hamas-Fatah unity pact, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu cancelled planned talks with Palestinian Authority “negotiators” Wednesday.
As far as Abbas is concerned, the unity agreement does not mean that “talks” cannot continue. After all, what difference does it make that he has agreed to a unity pact with the rival terrorist group that openly states it wants to destroy Israel?
The joker is that Fatah, headed by Abbas, has broken agreement after agreement, most recently by saying it would go to the United Nations for recognition, but that seems to be okay with the Obama administration because, after all, it is Fatah and not Hamas.
Now that Abbas and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh have torn up the divorce papers and re-married, so to speak, Hamas is Fatah and Fatah is Hamas.
And U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is jilted.

Kerry Rushes To Israel To Save Negotiations.

Kerry arrives in Israel, holds late night meetings to save peace talks

US Secretary of State John Kerry met in Jerusalem Monday evening with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, amid reports the US may release Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard by mid-April as part of a wider package designed to resuscitate the negotiations.
Reuters, citing sources close to the negotiations, said that under the plan Israel would go ahead with the release of the fourth group of Palestinian security prisoners it agreed to release under the framework that led to a renewal of talks last July.
In addition, the sources were quoted as saying that Israel would agree to release another larger group of prisoners, and the peace talks would be extended past the April 29 deadline.
Israeli officials would not discuss any details of what was under discussion. In Washington, White House spokesman Jay Carney said he had no update on Pollard. Nevertheless, there is a sense among some dealing with the issue that this time the reports of a deal that would include Pollard are more serious than in the past.
Kerry interrupted his scheduled travels in Europe for the second time in a week to rush to the region and salvage talks in a crisis since Israel missed the March 29 deadline set to release the final batch of prisoners.
Kerry was scheduled to travel to Ramallah late Monday night following his meeting with Netanyahu to meet with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. It was not immediately clear whether there would be follow up talks on Tuesday. Kerry was originally scheduled to attend a NATO ministerial meeting in Brussels on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Prior to the meeting in Ramallah, Abbas chaired a meeting of top PLO and Fatah officials to discuss the developments surrounding the peace talks and the crisis over the prisoners.
State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said the US negotiating team has been on the ground to "help the sides agree to a path forward." US Middle East envoy Martin Indyk and his team have held intensive talks with both sides over the last week trying to figure out a way out of the current stalemate.
Highly placed Israeli officials familiar with the negotiations said that Israel will release the final batch of 26 prisoners if it knows that the talks will move forward. He said that the talks were focused on seeing whether it is possible to reach an understanding that would make possible the continuation of talks.
The source emphasized, however, that this "understanding" was not the US framework document that was discussed in the past that would serve as a basis for continued talks. The sides could not agree on that document.
Kerry, according to the source, is working on a way to keep the parties engaged beyond next month's deadline.
The source said that if it became clear that the process was ending, and that the Palestinians would go to international forums and wage diplomatic war against Israel once the final batch of prisoners was released, then there would be no reason to go ahead with that release.
PA officials said that Kerry was trying to persuade Abbas to agree to an extension of the talks. One official said he did not rule out the possibility that Abbas would agree to the extension of the talks, but without linking it to the release of the prisoners.
"The prisoners should have been released a few days ago in accordance with understandings reached with Israel and the Palestinian Authority before the resumption of the peace talks several months ago," the official said. "Any attempt to create a linkage between the release of the prisoners and the extension of the talks is an act of blackmail."
Even if Kerry does get the Palestinians to agree to continue the talks, and as a result Israel does release a final batch of Palestinians convicted of terrorist acts prior to the 1993 Oslo accords, it remains unclear whether Israel would Israeli Arabs in that list.
Although the Palestinians claim that Kerry led them to believe that 14 Israeli Arabs would be included, Israel – even according to senior US officials – made no commitment last July to include Israeli Arabs in the prisoner releases. This, according to some speculation, is where Pollard might come into play, with the US releasing him in exchange for Israel agreeing to release Israeli Arabs.
Any decision to release Israeli Arabs needs to go back to the cabinet for approval. The release of Pollard would make such approval likely, whereas without his release Netanyahu does not have a majority in the government for such a move.
