North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has removed three top military officials as his summit with President Donald Trump draws near. After months of exchanging bellicose and belittling rhetoric, the two leaders are scheduled to meet in Singapore on June 12.
The initial news that the three military officials had been removed was published by South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency, per Newsmax.
One analyst said the move is a pre-emptive political strike to ensure that the Korean People’s Army will not resist any agreements Kim and Trump might reach.
“If Kim Jong Un is set on making peace with the U.S. and South Korea and dealing away at least part of the nuclear program, he will have to put the KPA’s influence in a box and keep it there,” said Ken Gause, director of the International Affairs Group at CNA, a research and analysis organization, according to the Australian Broadcasting Corp.
“This reshuffle has brought to the fore the officers who can do just that. They are loyal to Kim Jong Un and no one else,” he said.

The move replaces older officials with younger ones, and was labeled by some as a generational change.
“All these (promoted) guys are top Kim Jong Un guys,” blogger Michael Madden, who writes on North Korea, told CNN.
“All three of them have held very sensitive and high level positions under Kim Jong Un, they’re very loyal (to him), and all have experience interacting with foreign delegations,” he said.
Changing leaders means that Kim expects North Korea to make changes following the summit, one expert said.

Does this North Korean shakeup bode well for peace?

“This points to two things — the consolidation of Kim Jong Un’s power as the sole leader of North Korea and strengthened cooperation between the North’s party and military as the country works towards further economic development,” said Yang Moo-jin, a professor at the University of North Korean Studies in Seoul. “They’re all young but capable people.”
Madden agreed.
“It’s a good choice of support for his diplomacy efforts. It’s good to have these people in high office to provide him follow-through,” Madden said, according to The Washington Post. “So if there are policies he needs to implement, these are people who are not going to be resistant to that and they will make sure his policies are implemented in a timely fashion.”
Kim Yong Hyun, a professor of North Korean studies at Dongguk University in Seoul, told The Post that although the ousted leaders were men who knew about combat, the new leaders know how the military can play a role in organizing the economy.

That could mean Kim is “pursuing a new policy to become a developing country without nuclear weapons, rather than a poor country with nuclear weapons,” he said.
“He has chosen the route of pursuing denuclearization and a peace treaty through dialogue, and is appointing a new generation of military leaders to set the tone for his vision,” the professor said.
“Kim Jong Un has chosen a new leadership who reflects his new approach and can more naturally propagate his new policies to bring stability within the military,” he added.

Wouldn't It Rile The Trump Haters If He Won The Nobel Prize?

There are four U.S. presidents in history who have won the Nobel Peace Prize. Now, to the chagrin of the left, there could be a fifth.
As amazing news from the Korean peninsula continues to break, it looks increasingly possible that the decades-long hostilities between North and South Korea may finally be resolved in a peaceful manner … and Donald Trump played a major role in the process.
Now, President Trump has been officially nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize by over a dozen members of Congress.
“We, the undersigned members of the United States Congress, respectfully nominate President Donald J. Trump to receive the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his work to end the Korean War, denuclearize the Korean Peninsula, and bring peace to the region,” states a letter signed by 18 lawmakers.
“Since taking office, President Trump has worked tirelessly to apply maximum pressure on North Korea to end its illicit weapons program and bring peace to the region,” the official nomination letter continues.
“His Administration successfully united the international community, including China, to impose one of the most successful international sanctions regimes in history.”
Almost nobody predicted that talks in Korea would move as fast as they did, and events have moved so quickly that there is still some doubt about whether or not North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is actually serious about keeping his word.
Nevertheless, Korean officials and even liberals have been forced to admit that Trump played a huge role in what appears to be a promising peace process.

Do you believe Donald Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for his actions in regard to North Korea?

“Clearly, credit goes to President Trump,” the South Korea foreign minister explained last week. “He’s been determined to come to grips with this from day one.”
“If President Trump could truly solve this problem, that would be going down as a great president,” CNN — yes, CNN! — host Erin Burnett admitted back in March. “There is no getting around that.”
Last week, history was made when Kim Jong Un became the first North Korean leader to ever enter South Korea. As part of the peace process, the 1950s-era Korean War was officially declared over by both countries.
Trump was savaged by the media for months after taking a very stern tone with North Korea. His hard-line message was mocked by liberals who openly feared that the president would incite nuclear war.
In fact, it seems that the carrot-and-stick approach has brought precisely the opposite. It turns out that negotiating from a position of strength may have been a pretty good strategy after all. We won’t hold our breath for the Trump-hating left to admit it.

So far, the only U.S. presidents who have received the Nobel Peace Prize are Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama.
If anything, Obama receiving the honor just months after taking office in 2009 demonstrates that the prize is not nearly as serious or powerful as it once was; still, it would be a great honor and a fitting dish of crow if Trump did actually win.
Many events still need to unfold in Korea for this chance at peace to become permanent, but one thing is clear: The entire Trump presidency so far has shown that “experts” are often incredibly wrong.
They were wrong about Trump losing the election. They were wrong about the economy crashing. And, thankfully, it looks like they might have been dramatically wrong about the best approach to take in regard to North Korea.
What do you think?

Is There Nothing Left That The Democrats Will Try To Do To Stop Trump? Yes!

Chuck Schumer secretly plots to sabotage North Korea talks

Behind the scenes of the U.S. Congress, New York Sen. Chuck Schumer has formed a plan, say reports — and he’s going to do everything he can to stop President Donald Trump from winning a historic diplomatic victory in the upcoming summit U.S.-North Korea summit.
How? By stopping the Congress from confirming Mike Pompeo as secretary of state.

But they won’t do it by winning voters or using political deals. They’ll do it through a technicality.
It seems Democrats are so hysterically anti-Trump, they’d rather risk nuclear war than let the White House look good by securing world peace.
According to The Hill, Schumer and the Democrats “are mulling an audacious plan to bottle up President Trump’s nominee to head the State Department in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee — even though Mike Pompeo likely has enough votes to win confirmation on the Senate floor.”
Meanwhile, Chinese and South Korean leaders have confirmed that North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un’s commitment to denuclearize his nation without conditions ahead of his upcoming meeting with Trump.

Just weeks away from that historic peace summit, Trump is asking the Senate to confirm his top diplomat. The Senate has said they would do so, according to the wishes of the American people.
And Schumer is secretly scrambling to stop Pompeo’s nomination from even coming to a vote?
Is there any doubt left that Democrats value political theater over the well-being of the American people?

BREAKING: China Just Neutered North Korea

On Wednesday, China said that it secured a commitment from North Korean
leader Kim Jong Un to denuclearize the Korean peninsula during a meeting
 with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

In return, Xi reportedly pledged to uphold China's close relationship with
North Korea during Kim's visit to China which lasted from Sunday to
Wednesday, Reuters reported.

“It is our consistent stand to be committed to denuclearization on the peninsula,
in accordance with the will of late President Kim Il Sung and late General
Secretary Kim Jong Il,” Kim said, according to Xinhua.

“The issue of denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula can be resolved, if
South Korea and the United States respond to our efforts with goodwill,
create an atmosphere of peace and stability while taking progressive and
synchronous measures for the realization of peace,” Kim continued.
