While We Agree That Law And Order Must Prevail, We Are Very Concerned By The Police Equipment And The Continual Rioting.

America Is Under Military Occupation, But Americans Are Pushing Back

Heavily armed and armored, camouflage-clad storm troopers swarmed across the city, pointing rifles at citizens and journalists, firing tear gas and blasting with sound cannons the crowds that were standing in their own yards and business parking lots, or walking down the streets. An armored vehicle with a machine gun mounted on top rolled past in a show of force.
A scene from some Third World dictatorship or from Communist China? No. It’s right out of middle America.
The response by the St. Louis County Police Department to protests in Ferguson, Missouri, following the shooting of Michael Brown, an unarmed teenager, by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson was to demonstrate the overwhelming force of a military occupation in an effort to intimidate the populace into submission. It served to do the opposite.
Rather than disperse as ordered, residents stood in defiance, shouting “Hands up, don’t shoot,” and holding their hands in the air as a symbolic gesture to descriptions by multiple witnesses of Brown’s actions as he was shot multiple times. With crowds growing — and growing increasingly militant by throwing rocks and Molotov cocktails at their oppressors — the local police were relieved of patrol duties by Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon and replaced by state police, led by a black former resident of Ferguson, Capt. Ron Johnson.

MCT/Capt. Ronald Johnson of the Missouri Highway Patrol smiled as demonstrators marched in Ferguson on Thursday.
Johnson came to Ferguson as a peace officer rather than an oppressor; and like a light switch had been turned, the tensions of the crowd subsided and protests became peaceful. Johnson walked the streets with protesters, listened to their concerns and showed he was on their side rather than on the side of their occupiers.
The crowd stood up to tyranny and won — at least temporarily. That changed Friday night. After some looting began, police again moved on the crowd but did little or nothing to help those being looted. On Saturday, Nixon declared a state of emergency and curfew. The curfew was largely ignored and the police brought the military equipment back. It erupted again on Sunday night when police moved in with teargas and smoke canisters and rubber bullets.
It’s the second time in recent months that American citizens have stood to defy a militarized assault. Back in April, armed goons from the Bureau of Land Management began rustling Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s cattle in order to free up land he’s been grazing for years so that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, his family and his cronies could make what they considered better use of it. It was land to which Bundy claimed ancestral grazing rights, land he claimed belonged to Nevada rather than the U.S. government.
After a video went viral that showed armed BLM agents siccing dogs on and shooting Tasers at Bundy family members, members of Oath Keepers and other patriots — many of them armed — showed up at the Bundy ranch to stand up to the BLM, which was bringing in heavily armed and armored troops of its own.
A tense standoff ensued. Some of the highest-ranking members of the U.S. government called Bundy and his supporters domestic terrorists. President Barack Obama considered deploying the military to drive Bundy and his supporters off the land. Some reports identified special forces members among the BLM agents on the scene.
In the end, the armed aggressors backed off and dispersed.
The militaristic style response by the St. Louis County PD is not surprising given the rising militarism of local police across the country. I began warning you of this several years ago in articles like “The Violent Militarization Of Local Police,” “Local Law Enforcement More Dangerous, Thanks To Trickle Down Of Military Equipment, Militarized Mindset,” and others that can be found in our Power of the State section. It is a natural and predicted outgrowth of the War on Drugs and the War on Terror, which has created an us-versus-them mindset between the government and those it views as its subjects and has resulted in the U.S. having the largest prison population in the world.
The increasing interaction between local police and unconstitutional federal law enforcement agencies like the Department of Homeland Security, the passing out of federal dollars to local agencies for training and equipment purchases and the proliferation of military hardware and weaponry have turned peace officers into oppression officers with military training, military equipment and the natural outgrowth of that: a military mindset.
Of course, blacks have for years been subject to special scrutiny and abuse by local police, but their complaints are usually dismissed by the majority that has been propagandized into believing that anyone falling on the wrong end of a police encounter must have been guilty of something and was, therefore, deserving of the abuse, no matter how egregious. Self-styled “law and order conservatives” are quick to dismiss the 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th and 14th Amendment rights of blacks and those who they think look like thugs or criminals or drug dealers whenever they have an encounter with police that ends badly. If they got shot, those “law and order conservatives” say, then they deserved it.
It appears that Ferguson police may have a history of not only abusing innocent people, like many other LEO (legally entitled to oppress) agencies, but of officers’ committing perjury in order to cover their abuse.
With a history like that, and with the militaristic response that followed, it’s certainly not surprising that Ferguson residents would suspect that their chances of learning the truth about the Brown shooting and seeing any punishment meted out to the LEO if he did — as it appears — go too far in administering his form of justice to a suspected strong-armed robber would be nil.
Another newly leaked document from DHS predicts an increased “anti-government violence of the next year.” Of course, the regime has been peddling this for several years with DHS missives and reports warning that enemies of America include people who believe in small government, fly the Gadsden flag, store food and water, served in the military, photograph landmarks or oppose gun laws.
But if there is anti-government violence in the next year, it will be because an abusive and oppressive government kept pushing Americans until they wouldn’t be pushed anymore. And if the government fears that if it pushes too far there will be anti-government violence, that is a good thing.
Update 1 (7:32 a.m.): After protests turned violent with claims by police that shots were fired in their direction and amid reports of more looting, the Missouri governor deployed the National Guard overnight to help restore order. The human rights group Amnesty International also announced last night that it was sending a team to observe the events. It’s the first time a human rights team from the organization has ever been sent to the U.S. -BL

Park Police Guns Either UnAccounted For, Missing, Taken By Officers. Sounds Like Typical Government Work! But You Better Not Handle Your Transactions In Such A Callous Way!

From: Right To Bear Blog:

U.S. Park Police Can’t Find Their Guns

U.S. Park officials, tasked with protecting citizens as a part of their job, have lost track of their guns.
Now, it’s really no surprise the U.S. government does a poor job of tracking important things. They lose sensitive emails, as in the IRS scandal, and allow for gun runners to make off with American-bought guns and then use them against U.S. citizens like they did in the “Fast and Furious” scandal.
So where are all the handguns that once belonged to U.S. Park officials? Take a look and see for yourself…

President Barack Obama and his former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were supposed to have hugged it out and made up when they both attended a party on Martha's Vineyard last week, but Clinton biographer Ed Klein says no such thing happened.

Instead, Klein writes in the New York Post, the meeting was "a tense, awkward freeze-a-thon."

Clinton and Obama were both on hand for the 80th birthday party of Ann Dibble Jordan, wife of Vernon Jordan, a former aide to President Bill Clinton.

According to Klein, Hillary Clinton and Obama were seated near each other, but did not speak. The Clintons and Obamas went out of their way to avoid each other, Klein said.

The spat began – at least publicly – when Hillary Clinton criticized Obama's foreign policy in an Atlantic interview published August 10. She blamed Obama's inaction in Syria for the rise of the ISIS terrorist group in neighboring Iraq, saying that Obama's 'Don't do stupid stuff," motto did not make a sufficient organizing principle for a great nation.

After the interview drew attention, Clinton said she would meet Obama at the party and"hug it out."

But Klein quoted sources from inside the Clinton camp that not only will there be no kiss-and-make-up between the two, more attacks on Obama are yet to come. Clinton is believed to be distancing herself from her old boss and his increasing unpopularity as she prepares for a likely run for the White House in 2016.

In fact, Klein writes, Clinton's attack was an "opening salvo in an ongoing, comprehensive assault on Obama’s overall mismanagement of the presidency."

Klein says Bill Clinton has been holding secret meetings for the past six months with policy experts to devise talking points on foreign and fiscal policy, immigration reform and health care. A complete revamp of Obamacare is reportedly on the agenda.

The talking points are said to fill 5,000 pages.

"A few weeks ago, Bill laid out his strategy to Hillary and Chelsea during a meeting in his barn office in Chappaqua," a source who was reportedly at the meeting told Klein. "Virtually everyone at the meeting agreed Hillary had to distance herself as far away from Obama as possible."

Bill Clinton had specific suggestions for attacking Obama, the person told Klein.

The news that Texas Gov. Rick Perry was indicted Friday for conducting a lawful act has Republican strategists and others steaming about a pattern of abuse by Democrats: When they can't beat Republicans at the polls, they try to indict them in criminal court.

The Perry indictment focuses on his threat to veto funding for the Travis County (Austin) district attorney's public integrity unit after D.A. Rosemary Lehmberg was arrested for driving under the influence.

Her blood alcohol was nearly three times the legal limit, and she was seen on video being unruly and belligerent to police officers, who had to physically restrain her. Lehmberg served about half her 45-day jail sentence for her actions, but has refused to resign.

Perry called on Lehmberg to resign, threatening to veto legislative funding for the unit if she didn't. Lehmberg did not resign and Perry followed up on the threat.

No one is challenging Perry's legal right to veto any bill he chooses, but because of the threat, the liberal advocacy group that backs Lehmberg, Texans for Public Justice, said Perry had committed an abuse of power.

They persuaded a friendly judge to appoint a special prosecutor who was able to get a grand jury in mostly-Democrat Travis County to indict Perry on two counts of misuse of public office.

The indictment says Perry used the power of his office to try to coerce a public official.

But even fair-minded liberals are angered by the obvious abuse of the criminal justice system.

Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz told Newsmax that while said he is liberal Democrat who would never vote for Perry, he was "outraged" by the indictment.

"Everybody, liberal or conservative, should stand against this indictment," Dershowitz said. "If you don't like how Rick Perry uses his office, don't vote for him."

Even David Axelrod, former aide to President Barack Obama, called it"pretty sketchy."

Pundits of the left and right see little chance of conviction, but Republicans note a disturbing trend by Democrats in misusing the criminal justice system for political purposes.

In 2010, it was District Attorney Lehmberg who pushed a Travis County grand jury to indict Texas Congressman and Republican House Majority Leader Tom DeLay on money laundering charges relating to state races in 2010 that helped Republicans gain control of the legislature.

Last year, a Texas appellate court overturned the DeLay conviction, saying it was "legally insufficient."

The Perry indictment appears out of the same playbook. Today, Perry is a top-tier presidential candidate already running for the Republican nomination in 2016. The indictment could potentially be an embarrassment for him.

Two other top-tier Republican presidential candidates have been mired in similar politically fueled probes that have loomed with a potential indictment threat.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is in a similar position over his Bridge-gate scandal.

A state legislative panel, run by Democrats, and the U.S. Attorney's Office, headed by a Democrat appointed by Obama, are running separate investigations into whether Christie had any personal involvement when members of his staff purposely shut down lanes on the George Washington Bridge last fall, reportedly for political payback.

Christie has yet to be linked personally to the scandal and denies any involvement.

Another Republican governor with possible White House aspirations, Wisconsin's Scott Walker, already has survived a recall election over his stand to limit collective bargaining by state employees.

More recently, Walker has faced a probe by Democratic Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm over allegations the governor coordinated with conservative fundraisers to illegally violate state election laws.

Walker has called the allegations "nothing more than a partisan investigation," noting that two judges, one in federal and one in state court, have ruled he did nothing wrong.

Still, investigators illegally leaked sealed court records, claiming that prosecutors had pushed for an indictment of Walker. Walker's camp said the leak was nothing more than an effort to smear him as he faces a tough re-election race for governor this year.

And Republicans note that it is not just presidential candidates being targeted.

Filmmaker and author Dinesh D'Souza was forced to plead guilty in May to illegally funneling approximately $20,000 through third parties to help a friend running for U.S. Senate in New York.

His plea agreement calls on him not to challenge a prison sentence of 10 to 16 months.

D'Souza has been a frequent critic of Obama, releasing two documentary films on him. The most recent, "2016," was in theaters this summer.

Criminal experts have said that considering the small amount of money involved, the federal government would typically not even investigate the matter.

"This is clearly a case of selective prosecution for one of the most common things done during elections, which is to get people to raise money for you," famed law professor Dershowitz said at the time of the D'Souza indictment.

"If they went after everyone who did this, there would be no room in jails for murderers."
