DOJ Attorney and Special Counsel to FBI Deputy Andrew McCabe, Lisa Page, is now refusing to testify to congress over her involvement in the 2015, 2016 and 2017 DOJ and FBI operations to exonerate Hillary Clinton and stop candidate Donald Trump.
Washington, D.C. – House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) issued the following statement after Lisa Page decided to defy the Committee’s subpoena:
“It appears that Lisa Page has something to hide. She plans to blatantly defy a congressional subpoena by refusing to appear for her deposition. She has known for months that the House Judiciary Committee has sought her testimony as part of our joint investigation with the Oversight Committee into decisions made by the Justice Department in 2016, and she has no excuse for her failure to appear. Lisa Page is a key witness, and it is critical that she come before our committees to answer questions as part of our investigation.
“We will use all tools at our disposal to obtain her testimony. Americans across the country are alarmed at the bias exhibited by top officials at the Justice Department and FBI, and it is imperative Congress conduct vigorous oversight to ensure that never happens again.” (link)

deBlasio Crosses Mexico Border Illegally

Clinton pal caught illegally crossing Mexico border

Another day, another crime committed by Hillary Clinton’s friends.
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, a longtime Clinton political ally, violated both Mexican and U.S. immigration laws by illegally crossing the border near El Paso, Texas, U.S. Customs and Border Protection alleges in a letter. The letter was first reported on by The Associated Press.

After being confronted by a border patrol agent, De Blasio reportedly claimed ignorance — and then fled back to Mexico.
De Blasio, a fierce critic of the White House’s immigration policies, went to the Texas border with about 20 other liberal mayors from around the country on June 21, the day after President Donald Trump signed an order stopping family separations at the border.
More than 2,300 families were separated as a result of the administration’s zero-tolerance policy, which criminally prosecutes anyone caught crossing illegally. The mayors said Trump had failed to address a humanitarian crisis.
De Blasio, followed by reporters and his team, went to a holding facility for children brought to the country illegally but was denied entry. In response, de Blasio then allegedly crossed into Mexico and back into the U.S. illegally to get a view of the facility. The New York Police Department runs de Blasio’s security detail.
According to the letter, a uniformed Border Patrol agent noticed a group on the Rio Grande River flood plain south of the Tornillo, Texas, Port of Entry, taking photos of the holding facility. The agent confronted the group and asked if anyone from Border Patrol or public affairs was there to authorize their presence. A New York Police Department inspector said no, according to the letter, and when the agent asked the group how they arrived, they pointed to Mexico.
The agent told them they’d crossed the border illegally and asked them to remain there while he got a supervisor and took them to an official crossing for an inspection per federal law, according to the letter. But the group disregarded the order and fled back to Mexico.
De Blasio spokesman Eric Phillips denies that the group illegally crossed the border, and said the border agent was lying.
“The mayor crossed the border with the direct approval and under the supervision of the border patrol supervisor at this port of entry,” Phillips reportedly said in an email Tuesday. “Any suggestion otherwise is a flat-out lie and an obvious attempt by someone to attack the Mayor because of his advocacy for families being ripped apart at the border by the Trump Administration.”

The letter was sent June 25 by Aaron Hull, the chief patrol agent for the Border Patrol’s El Paso Sector to New York Police Department Commissioner James O’Neill.
The border incident isn’t the only major controversy to stain de Blasio in the last week.
“The plane, which is outfitted with high-tech sensors and infrared cameras, was purchased to conduct flyovers of New York Harbor and examine incoming ships for radiation,” The National Review reported. “The city paid for 25 percent of the plane’s total cost while the Department of Homeland Security covered the remaining 75 percent.”

Should Bill de Blasio be arrested for illegally crossing the U.S. border?

Kavanaugh Is Going To Be Attacked Unmercilessly!

Liberal Professor Comes

 Out in Favor of

 Kavanaugh, Left

Pounces

Predictably, President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court pick has been met with mostly hysteria on the left.
Even before Trump picked D.C. Circuit Court Judge Brett Kavanaugh to replace Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme Court, left-wing publications were floating absurd court-packing plans to counter him.
Stacking the Supreme Court with more unelected judges, they argued, was a necessary measure to save “democracy.”
It’s clear that whoever Trump nominated, most of the left would come out and define the pick as a threat to the republic.
The liberal Left continue to push their radical agenda against American values. The good news is there is a solution. Find out more >>
The left-wing Women’s March was in such a rush to denounce the pick that they forgot to fill in the name on their press release claiming the nomination of “XX” is a “death sentence for thousands of women.”
Amid all of this hyperbole, there have been at least a few liberal voices arguing in favor of confirming Kavanaugh. The most prominent among them has been Akhil Reed Amar, a distinguished professor at Yale Law School who once taught Kavanaugh.
In an article he wrote for The New York Times, called “A Liberal’s Case for Brett Kavanaugh,” Amar made the argument that it was “Trump’s finest hour, his classiest move.”
Amar wrote that Kavanaugh’s credentials are beyond reproach, and that he has a “deep reverence for the laws and Constitution of the United States.” He even addressed the most common line of left-wing attack on Kavanaugh’s confirmation, that this seat was “stolen” from President Barack Obama’s choice, Judge Merrick Garland.
“Although Democrats are still fuming about Judge Garland’s failed nomination, the hard truth is that they control neither the presidency nor the Senate; they have limited options,” Amar wrote. “Still, they could try to sour the hearings by attacking Judge Kavanaugh and looking to complicate the proceedings whenever possible. … This would be a mistake.”
Ultimately, Amar wrote that if Democrats are serious about opposing the nominee, they should at least offer two better suggestions that would be acceptable to Trump and the Republican majority in exchange for frank answers from Kavanaugh about his views.
Needless to say, progressive activists didn’t take well to Amar’s message.
Paul Blest, writing for the left-wing website, Splinter—the same publication that published a piece calling for mobs to harass conservatives—blasted Amar’s editorial.
“Everything we have and everything we can imagine that is achievable within this crumbling system is at risk,” Blest concluded of the Kavanaugh nomination. “The Democrats are probably going to lose this fight, but anything less than a full-throated attack on Trump’s nomination is tantamount to capitulation on what might very well turn out to be the most consequential decision Trump ever makes.”
While the Splinter article reflects the mood of the progressive base, Amar’s defense of Kavanaugh as a candidate with unquestionable credentials and background means that it will be hard to go after him on anything other than partisan or ideological grounds.
It’s clear that what the left is most afraid of is any justice who will take textual adherence to the Constitution seriously.
The Federalist’s David Harsanyi summed this up perfectly:
Democrats were going to get hysterical about any pick, because any conservative pick was going to take the Constitution far too literally for their liking. For those who rely on the administrative state and coercion as a policy tool—forcing people to join political organizations, forcing them to support abortion, forcing them to subsidize socially progressive sacraments, forcing them to create products that undermine their faith, and so on—that’s a big problem.
In essence, they will oppose—and malign—any justice, no matter their background, gender, or religious beliefs, who will not aid in carrying out a progressive policy agenda.
Time will tell if this strategy of opposition at all costs will fly with the American people.

The Future Is Becoming Clear--Socialism On The Way If We Don't Fight Back

HERE WE GO: Millennial Democrats EMBRACE Socialism

A few months ago, Hillary Clinton was asked about whether her self-identification as a capitalist had hurt her among members of her own core constituency. She said it had. She was right. And the Democratic Party is now moving openly in the direction of embracing socialism.
All of this follows what are, in any serious sense, relatively minor wins for self-proclaimed Democratic Socialists within the party. The momentum began with Bernie Sanders’ stunning 2016 presidential run, which galvanized young people in a way Hillary’s campaign never did. Sanders’ radicalism permeated the party and radicalized ambitious politicians like Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Kamala Harris (D-CA) and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY). But Warren and Booker and Harris and Gillibrand still don’t openly embrace socialism as a philosophy.
Not so with a few fringe members of the party getting outsized attention for winning primaries. These would be Summer Lee, 30, and Sara Innamorato, 32, and Elizabeth Fiedler, 37, all three of whom won nominations for the Pennsylvania State Legislature in the Democratic Party. And the latest and greatest of these emissaries of Marx is, of course, the media’s beloved Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, 28, who just knocked off Joe Crowley in a primary vote in New York.
Now, Michelle Goldberg of The New York Times points out that millennials are embracing socialism in large numbers:
Talk of popular control of the means of production is anathema to many older Democrats, even very liberal ones. It plays a lot better with the young; one recent survey shows that 61 percent of Democrats between 18 and 34 view socialism positively… Indeed, while there’s a lot of talk about an ideological civil war among Democrats, on the ground, boundaries seem more fluid. In Pennsylvania recently, I met with moderate suburban resistance activists who’d volunteered for Innamorato, thrilled to support a young woman who could help revitalize the Democratic Party.
And herein lies the issue for Democrats: while the agenda of the DSA is utterly unworkable and insane — nationalized healthcare, guaranteed housing, guaranteed government jobs — the Democratic Party is happy to embrace the crowd, even if it means embracing unworkable policies. Socialism allows Democrats to fit President Trump’s victory into an ideological framework: he’s the apotheosis of evil capitalism run amok, finally at the head of American government. As Goldberg writes:
The young members of the D.S.A., meanwhile, are hopeful because their analysis helps them make sense of the Trump catastrophe. They often seem less panicked about what is happening in America right now than liberals are, because they believe they know why our society is coming undone, and how it can be rebuilt. … After Ocasio-Cortez’s win, Pelosi denied Republican claims that socialism is ascendant in the Democratic Party. It’s hard to blame her for being defensive, since for generations “socialist” was considered a slur, and it’s one that’s hurled at Democrats indiscriminately. But I think she’s wrong. There are more candidates like Ocasio-Cortez out there, and the Democrats should welcome them. It needs their youth and zeal and willingness to do the work of rebuilding the party as a neighborhood institution. And they’re coming, whether the party’s leadership likes it or not.
Now, socialism has failed every time it has been tried. European-style socialism isn’t actually socialism in the true sense — it doesn’t nationalize the means of production, or “democratize” them. But socialism provides a sense of meaning to people who have none. Perhaps the most interesting part of Goldberg’s piece is her insistence that socialists are working to recreate social fabric:
I was struck by the work they put into building community. On some days that public schools are closed, the D.S.A.’s socialist-feminist committee puts on all-day events with child care and free lunches. Like several other chapters, the Pittsburgh D.S.A. holds clinics where members change people’s burned-out car brake lights for free, helping them avoid unnecessary police run-ins while making inroads into the community. A local mechanic named Metal Mary helped train them.
But this all comes to an end the moment socialists actually hold power. Then they abandon local charitable solutions, and immediately turn to government. Socialism isn’t voluntary. It’s inherently coerced.
The Democratic move toward socialism is easy to mock, but the reality is that Americans tend to swing from party to party electorally. There will come some point when Democrats are again ascendant. If they’re the party of Bernie Sanders when that happens, get ready for American liberties to be thrown under the bus in favor of hackneyed nostrums about the power of the people, amidst increasing suffering of individuals.
