Of Course Schumer Was Behind This Debacle!

Chuck Schumer behind Kavanaugh letter leak (wow!)

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer was behind the leaked letter that made Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing historically controversial.
The nation spent a week gripped in a “he said, she said” battle between Kavanaugh supporters demanding evidence and those that believed Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s accusations. The entire fight centered around a letter Ford sent to California Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the leading Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Ford asked to remain anonymous, but her life was turned upside-down when her name was leaked to mainstream media journalists.
The media quickly began hounding Ford and her family, causing her to be unwillingly thrust into the national spotlight — and it was all at the direction of Schumer.
That’s according to Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton, a Republican, who told radio host Hugh Hewitt the leaking of Ford’s letter was a “political operation” of Schumer “from the very beginning.”
A spokesman for Schumer has strongly denied the claim and dismissed Cotton as a conspiracy theorist. That hasn’t slowed down the Arkansas Republican.

“I believe the Schumer political operation was behind [the leak] from the very beginning,” Cotton said. “We learned last week that a woman named Monica McLean was Ms. Ford’s roommate, and she was one of the so-called beach friends who encouraged Ms. Ford to go to Dianne Feinstein and the partisan Democrats on the Judiciary Committee.”
“Well, it just turns out, it just so happens that Monica McLean worked for a Preet Bharara, the former U.S. Attorney in Manhattan,” Cotton continued. “Now, a virulent anti-Trump critic on television — and former counsel to Chuck Schumer.”
“So I strongly suspect that Chuck Schumer’s political operation knew about Ms. Ford’s allegations as far back as July and manipulated the process all along to include taking advantage of Ms. Ford’s confidences and directing her towards left-wing lawyers who apparently may have violated the D.C. code of legal ethics and perhaps may face their own investigation by the D.C. Bar,” he said.
Cotton went on to predict that the “left wing mobs” that Schumer and the Democratic Party have incited to push their political agenda would hurt them in the longrun.

“I think there’s going to be a consequence for those Democrats in four weeks from today in the polls,” Cotton predicted. “But remember … voting has already started in a lot of places, and our people are starting to go out and vote to show their revulsion at the left wing mob tactics.”

Democrats Might Have Dug Their Own Grave In Upcoming Elections

Another New Poll Shows Republicans Are Furious, More Likely to Vote in Midterms After Kavanaugh
It's been less than 24-hours since Justice Brett Kavanaugh took his rightful seat on the Supreme Court and two weeks since Democrats attempted to derail his nomination with a supercharged smear campaign.
Brett Kavanaugh took the bench with his new Supreme Court colleagues for the first time Tuesday in a jovial atmosphere that was strikingly at odds with the tension and rancor surrounding his high-court confirmation.

The new justice dived into his new job, asking a handful of questions in the first arguments of the day following a traditional welcome from Chief Justice John Roberts, who wished Kavanaugh “a long and happy career in our common calling.”
But according to a new survey from Rasmussen Reports, Republican voters are furious about the salacious, unfounded accusations lobbed at Kavanaugh and are more likely to vote in the upcoming midterm elections as a result.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 54% of all Likely U.S. Voters say they are more likely to vote in the upcoming midterm elections because of the controversy surrounding President Trump’s U.S. Supreme Court nominee. Only nine percent (9%) say they are less likely to vote. Thirty-four percent (34%) say the controversy will have no impact on their vote.
Further, the Kavanaugh issue has more energy for the GOP than the Democrat Party.

Democrats Promote Idea Which Will Guarantee Their Minority Status For Years (We Hope)

Dems stunning Kavanaugh plan uncovered (unhinged!)

by Frank Holmes, reporter
Americans had thought that Democrats were done trying to destroy Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s life, but they appear to have one more trick up their sleeves.
Senator Dianne Feinstein and her cronies have one last, desperate plot to try — they plan to make Kavanaugh irrelevant by packing the Supreme Court.
Liberals claim that the next time they come to power, they won’t wait for a justice to retire or die. They plan to cram as many left-wing judges onto the Supreme Court as possible – so that they can outvote Trump’s appointees.
The Supreme Court has had 9 justices since 1869… but far-left Democrats say there’s nothing in the Constitution saying the court has to stay that size.
So, as soon as the Democratic Party takes control of the White House and the Senate, they plan to grab control of the court, too.
They could appoint up to 6 new liberal justices who will spend their lives smashing the Constitution and forcing their views down the throats of the American people.
Despite all their dirty tricks and phony accusations, Kavanaugh was sworn in as associate justice last night by his former boss, Justice Anthony Kennedy.
Since taking office, President Donald Trump has named Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court.
A conservative court with two – or maybe more – Trump appointees is “leading many on the left to contemplate radical ideas,” wrote David Faris, a political science professor who’s the driving force behind the scheme.
Faris has been all over the media, promoting the idea – which he wrote in his book, It’s Time to Fight Dirty.
He admits that, even though it’s “an idea considered and discarded 80 years ago,” he’s in favor of “court-packing.”
If this were just one professor, it wouldn’t matter, but he’s got the ear of a whole choir of revolutionary left-wingers who are all singing the same tune.
Ian Millhiser – who works for ThinkProgress, a George Soros-funded think tank – took up the idea on Twitter. He quickly deleted the tweet, but the headlines started pouring in:
The Soros-funded Jacobin magazine posted a “defense of court-packing.”
“A new court-packing scheme could save the Supreme Court,” wrote the Los Angeles Times.
“Democrats: Prepare to pack the Supreme Court,” said The New Republic.
The Washington Post even declared: “Democrats must consider court-packing when they regain power. It’s the only way to save democracy.”
Save democracy? By trashing the will of 63 million Americans who voted for Trump two years ago? Give us a break!
The American people despise the liberals’ out-of-touch agenda, so they’ve turned to the Supreme Court to foist their views on the country.
Banning God from schools, abortion, gun control, abolishing the death penalty, forcing workers to pay union dues – the court decides it all.
But with Kennedy gone, the liberals are going to lose a lot more cases. Under those circumstances, Vox.com said, “court-packing starts to look like a reasonable defensive measure.”
Trump’s “two appointments to a nine-member court amount to more than 20% of its strength; two appointments to a 15-member court might not swing the needle by much,” according to the L.A. Times.
The plot is totally crazy… it’s even failed once before. Former President Franklin D. Roosevelt tried and failed to pack the court in 1937.
But the good news is that the Democrats’ insane idea to change the rules could guarantee that Republicans hold onto power a long, long time.
“Literally the safest way (to) guarantee Trump’s re-election is to start announcing that the next Democratic president will pack the court with six new Dem-filled seats,” said Adam White, a law professor at conservative George Mason University. “These professors might as well start MAGA-PAC 2020.”
When Trump wins again in 2020, we can thank liberals for keeping him in power.

Germany Is Reaping The Seeds It Sowed

Police File Assault Charges Against Father Who Defended Daughter from Migrant Sex Attack

Policemen patrol through a pedestrian area in Munich, southern Germany, on July 23, 2016, one day after the attack at the shopping centre in Munich. Police were probing the motives of the lone teenage German-Iranian gunman who went on a deadly rampage at a busy Munich shopping centre, the third …

Police in the German city of Munich have filed charges against a 42-year-old man after he punched a migrant in the face who sexually assaulted his daughter.

The incident occurred at the Hackerbrücke train station and saw an intoxicated 28-year-old man from Eritrea reach under the skirt of a 21-year-old young woman and grab her buttocks. After becoming aware of the sex attack, the young woman’s father punched the Eritrean in the face, Merkur reports.
While police have filed sexual harassment charges against the Eritrean migrant, they have also filed charges of bodily injury against the 42-year-old.

Many online were outraged that police would bring charges against the father, with some asking why he should sit by and do nothing as the man sexually assaulted his daughter. Munich federal police spokeswoman Petra Wiedmann said that it was up to police to investigate both crimes.
“It is up to the judiciary to assess the case. There is a suspicion that there were two crimes, one sexual harassment and the other a physical injury. The police are required by law to bring up both,” she said.
The attack occurred during Oktoberfest, Munich’s largest festival of the year which has seen a massive increase in security in recent years due to previous sex attacks at other festivals in Germany along with the growing threat of radical Islamic terrorism.
In 2016, the festival saw one of its lowest attendance recorded in years — while reported sex attacks rose –a year after the height of the migrant crisis.
Only a year later in 2017, Bavarian authorities reported a 91 percent increase in the number of migrant rape attacks with migrants making up as many as one in five suspects involved in rape cases in the region.

The Left Becomes More Unhinged By The Day

Washington Post's E.J. Dionne Urges Rage and Revenge over Kavanaugh

Vengeance is mine sayeth the horde!
Washington Post columnist is in such a rage over what he calls the "coup" of confirming Brett Kavanaugh as a Justice on the Supreme court that it caused his mind overload to the extent of forgetting about the federal system of government established by the Constitution. In addition, he is now out for revenge against conservatives by packing the Supreme Court chock full of additional seats occupied by liberals.
Let us now join E.J. Dionne on his Vendetta Ride against Republicans in his furious column in Monday's newspaper, "We need to stay angry about Kavanaugh".
The Supreme Court’s legitimacy is in tatters. Conservative forces in the country, led by the Republican Party, have completed a judicial coup, decades in the making.
He is just getting warmed up. More outrage to come.
Democracy is all that opponents of the coup have left. In next month’s elections, the party responsible for this travesty must be punished. The idea that “both parties are equally to blame” is an unadulterated falsehood.
Guess who is going to be Rubber Room ready if the much vaunted "Blue Wave" fails to materialize?
The undemocratic nature of representation in the Senate is unlikely to be remedied anytime soon, so progressives and Democrats need to organize far more effectively in the low-population red states. Critics of the judicial right need to remind voters that conservative judges regularly serve the interests of the wealthy and the powerful, not those of the heartland.
I guess Dionne missed or forgot that part about federalism as established in the Constitution in his high school civics class. If he paid attention he would have found out that the Senate was not supposed to be "democratic" in its representation. It was supposed to represent the states so that even a low population state would have the same representation as the big states in the Senate. However, Dionne's fury over Kavanaugh seems to have blocked that concept from his mind. Oh, and there is no remedy for this unless you want to get rid of the Constitution, which many liberals would love to do but rarely admit in public.
And there should now be no squeamishness about the urgency of enlarging the Supreme Court if Democrats have the power to do so after the 2020 elections. The current majority on the court was created through illegitimate means. Changing that majority would not constitute politicizing the court because conservatives have already done this without apology.
Packing the Supreme Court with liberal seats in order to change the majority is somehow NOT politicizing it? What's the punchline?
...we need a considered two-year debate over changing the number of justices — it was done seven times during the 19th century — as the only plausible response to the conservative court-packing project that reached fruition on Saturday.
When did conservatives PACK the Supreme Court? Nominating justices to the High Court is not packing. However, what you are proposing, adding seats to the court so you can fill them with liberals, is most definitely packing.
Its foes need to stay angry. But even more, they need to vote, organize and think boldly. Democracy itself is at stake.
Yeah, this columnist will most definitely be in need of the white-coated fellows to strap him down to a gurney if no Blue Wave next month.

Do Democrats Want To Crash The Government?

Democrats' New Strategy: Destroy The Institutions Of American Government

Protesters march with signs in Berkeley, California on February 1, 2017. Violent protests erupted on February 1 at the University of California at Berkeley over the scheduled appearance of a controversial editor of the conservative news website Breitbart.

Back in 2013, President Obama, frustrated by Republican unwillingness to pass his agenda, lashed out at Congress. “To all my friends in Congress, understand that how business is done in this town has to change. You don’t like a particular policy or a particular president? Then argue for your position. Go out there and win an election,” Obama said. “But don’t break it.”
Obama was wrong at the time — the Republican House was merely stymieing his agenda in ways completely foreseen by the Constitution. And Obama himself would do serious damage to the system itself by ignoring Constitutional checks and balances to centralize power in the executive branch.
But Obama’s general point — that if you lose elections, you don’t get to simply change the rules of the game – seems to have gone unheeded. By Democrats.
In the aftermath of Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court, Democrats have come up with a plan. According to The New York Times, Brian Fallon, top spokesman for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, says that Democrats should consider extreme measures. What measures are more extreme than slandering a judicial nominee as a gang rapist? Why, simply packing the court, FDR style!
Some have gone as far as proposing — if Democrats were to retake control of Congress and the White House in 2020 or after — expanding the number of justices on the court to pack it with liberals or trying to impeach, remove and replace Justice Kavanaugh. … Democrats fear that the new majority will systematically crush their achievements — not just hollowing out past gains like abortion rights, but also striking down programs they hope to enact if they regain power, like expanding Medicare or efforts to curb climate change.
Democrats aren’t afraid that the Court will do its job — they’re afraid that the Court doing its job will mean checks and balances actually work. So instead, they want to do away with the Court as a functioning institution. Once the party in power simply decides to pack the Court with nominees, the Court simply turns over every few years. In fact, Republicans could theoretically pack the Court right this moment. All they’d have to do is nuke the filibuster, Harry Reid-style.
Nonetheless, the “pack the court” routine is already gaining ground. EJ Dionne writes at The Washington Post today:
And there should now be no squeamishness about the urgency of enlarging the Supreme Court if Democrats have the power to do so after the 2020 elections. The current majority on the court was created through illegitimate means. Changing that majority would not constitute politicizing the court because conservatives have already done this without apology.
This is hilarious. The Left turned the Court into a tool of policy under FDR after FDR’s threats to pack it, then again under Earl Warren, then used the Court to cram down everything from abortion to same-sex marriage, all the while preventing the nomination of judges like Robert Bork and slandering candidates like Clarence Thomas. But it’s the GOP that politicized the court.
Our institutions are durable — so durable that the Left’s great fears of a Trumpian fascist takeover haven’t materialized in the slightest. But the Left now wants to trash those institutions in a puerile gesture of rage.
And it’s not just the Supreme Court. The Left is also calling for an end to the Senate of the United States, because it’s not representative enough — which is the entire point of that body. As Aaron Blake of The Washington Post reports:
Brett M. Kavanaugh’s confirmation has brought about a new round of complaints among Democrats about how allegedly unfair and even undemocratic our system of government has become. … Now, it’s also aimed at the Senate, where small GOP-dominated states are increasingly passing things with the backing of a minority of Americans behind them.
Blake’s Washington Post colleague Philip Bump was one of the people pushing the anti-Senate agenda.
Democrats ought to take Barack Obama’s advice. If they want to get things done, they could start by winning a few elections. There’s one just a few weeks away. They’ll get their opportunity.
