On Sunday, the Islamic State released a twenty-minute video of young, preschool-aged children mercilessly murdering prisoners tied to broken carnival rides.
The disturbing video has been distributed through publicly accessible Islamic State media channels, social media, and file-sharing sites like Google Drive and YouTube.
In the Khayr province of Syria, adult militants are shown training small children in violent exercises. For example, a 10-year-old boy is shown gleefully participating in a public stoning. The video then transitions to an abandoned amusement park, where chained up prisoners are forced to make “confessional” testimonies as enemies of ISIS.
The film then showcases scenes of young children killing the prisoners. In one instance, a 7-year-old boy with a serrated knife coldly decapitates a prisoner’s head on a spinning disk ride. In another scene, at a ball play pit, a preschool-aged boy clad in black shoots a prisoner five times with a small handgun, then formally declares “Allahu akbar” twice.
The final execution segment involves a 12-year-old boy torturing a tied up prisoner near kiddie train tracks. The young adolescent slices the prisoner’s throat with a knife while the previous preschool-aged boy makes a motion of drawing his hand across his throat in the background.
Although the gruesome video cannot be displayed here, screenshots of the ISIS propaganda may be viewed below:
