Emotional former DNC chair cries over her “child”

During an appearance on a radio show, former DNC chair Donna Brazile said, “I hope to God we find out who murdered Seth Rich.”

Speaking with SiriusXM host Mark Thompson, Brazile, whose explosive new book Hacks has caused embarrassment for the Democratic establishment, spoke of her deep affection for Rich.

“He was my child. I loved him. He worked in the voting rights division, I was the vice chair over that division. He was one of two staff people. I love him, I miss him. He was a patriot,” said Brazile.

“I hope to God we find out who murdered Seth Rich,” she added.

Beginning to cry, Brazile responded to a question about her feeling responsible for his death by stating, “He was my child….I have been in politics all my adult life, the only children I have are the children that I have hired. They’re my children.”

In her book, Brazile also reveals that she was frightened for her life after Rich’s murder, beefing up her home surveillance and shutting the blinds in her office so she could not be seen by snipers.

The murder of Seth Rich remains unsolved, but the mainstream media continues to dismiss any questions about it as “conspiracy theories”.

Back in August, Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Seymour Hersh said he saw an FBI report leaked to him by an insider which confirmed that Rich had contacted Wikileaks with sample emails from the DNC leak and asked for payment for the full data dump.

Rich was murdered in an upscale area of Washington DC on July 10 last year but the killer or killers did not steal anything from the victim, rendering the police’s explanation that the incident was a robbery gone wrong doubtful.

Infowars reported on the questions surrounding Seth Rich’s murder multiple times back in August last year, including how there was around an hour and a half of “unaccounted for” time between Rich leaving a bar and being killed.

Brad Bauman, a crisis communications manager for the Democratic Party, was hired by RIch’s family to act as their spokesman. Bauman’s first action was to insist that people stop questioning the unsolved circumstances behind Rich’s murder.

For many the Democratic establishment’s attitude to leakers was crystallized by an email John Podesta sent to the Clinton campaign’s inner circle in February 2015, when he remarked, “I’m definitely for making an example of a suspected leaker whether or not we have any real basis for it.”

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials tried to hack Indiana’s state electoral system with at least 14,800 “scans” or hits between Nov. 1, 2016, to Dec. 16, 2016, The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group has learned.

The attacks are the second confirmed IT scanning assault by DHS officials against states that resisted then-President Barack Obama’s attempt to increase federal involvement in state and local election systems by designating them as “critical infrastructure” for national security.

Members of the National Association of Secretaries of State voted Saturday at their winter meeting to oppose the designation. They are asking President Donald Trump to overturn it.

Former Indiana Gov. Mike Pence was also Trump’s vice presidential-elect during much of the period covered by the DHS scans of the Indiana system.

Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson, the incoming president of the association, told TheDCNF Tuesday that, “we know that between November 1 and December 16 we were scanned with about 14,800 scans, nearly 15,000 different times.”

The state’s IT team traced the intruder to a DHS computer’s IP address. The same DHS unit attempted 10 times in 2016 to hack into the Georgia electoral system.

Federal officials are barred under DHS rules from trying to penetrate a state system without the express approval of the state. Neither Georgia nor Indiana approved the DHS scanning attempts.

Judge Napolitano Bombshell: US Intelligence Was Behind Hacks — Not The Russians

Judge Andrew Napolitano said on “Fox & Friends” Thursday that United States Intelligence agents were responsible for leaking documents to WikiLeaks during the election, not the Russian government.

“I hope that Josh Earnest was as much in jest with what he just said, as Donald Trump was when he said during the campaign,” Napolitano stated matter-of-factly. “No one could have taken that seriously.”

“Look, who had an incentive to prevent Mrs. Clinton from becoming President of the United States?” he asked. “Whose agents had their real identities and locations exposed by the reckless manner? … Who had access to all of this material without having to steal any codes?”

“The United States Intelligence agents who did not want this woman in charge of the federal government and exposing more agents and resources and undercover assets in the Middle East,” Napolitano said, answering his own questions.

On Wednesday, White House press secretary Josh Earnest stated there is “ample evidence” the Trump campaign both knew about and encouraged the actions behind the DNC hacks. Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s former campaign manager, blasted Earnest’s “irresponsible” statement Thursday morning.

WASHINGTON — Katherine Archuleta, the director of the Office of Personnel Management, will resign effective Friday, according to a White House official, one day after it was revealed that sweeping cyberintrusions at the agency resulted in the theft of the personal information of more than 25 million people.

Ms. Archuleta went to the White House on Friday morning to personally inform Mr. Obama of her decision, saying that she felt new leadership was needed at the federal personnel agency to enable it to “move beyond the current challenges,” the official said. The president accepted her resignation.

Beth Cobert, the deputy director of management at the Office of Management and Budget, will step in to temporarily replace Ms. Archuleta while a permanent replacement is found.

Ms. Archuleta, who assumed her post in November 2013, had been under pressure to resign since last month, when she announced the first of two separate but related computer intrusions that compromised the personal information of 4.2 million current and former federal workers, including Social Security numbers, addresses, health and financial histories and other private details.

On Thursday, she divulged the breach had also led to the theft of personal data of 21.5 million people who had applied for government background checks, likely affecting anyone subjected to such an investigation since 2000.

On a conference call detailing the scope of the intrusion late Thursday afternoon, Ms. Archuleta, the first Latina director of the agency, insisted she would not step down despite calls from members of Congress in both parties that she do so.

She served in the Clinton administration, and later under Mr. Obama as the chief of staff of the Labor Department. When she started at the personnel agency in 2013, she unveiled a plan of action that included technology upgrades to its antiquated computer systems and bolstering protections against cyber intrusions.

“We have a very aggressive push to enhance our cyber security and modernize our systems, and we will continue to do so,” she said Thursday. “I am committed to the work that I am doing at O.P.M.”
