'Politico' Abandons Veil of Objectivity, Pushes Democrat Narrative on Gun Control
Never mind that massacres in Connecticut, Colorado, South Carolina, and now, California have forced uncomfortable questions about the widespread availability of weapons in the United States. And forget the fact that the 14 dead in San Bernardino, California, drowned out an otherwise successful week for the GOP, in which Speaker Paul Ryan laid out his vision for the future of the party, after helping guide two major bills across the finish line. The reality is quite plain on Capitol Hill: There's still no appetite among Republicans for new gun laws.
Actually, what drowned out "an otherwise successful week for the GOP" today is the LOUD CHATTER ABOUT GUN CONTROL from the Democrats and their media lap dogs. It has to be coordinated and cacophonous in order to force the public's attention away from all of the terrorism going on.
We wouldn't want to offend the bad guys, would we?
In a more responsible, grown-up journalism climate, the headlines and questions would all be along the lines of, "How did an Islamic guy who got an online Pakistani wife from Saudi Arabia and cavorted with people on the FBI's terror watch list plan all of this without anyone noticing?"
The D.C. Democrats and the coastal media bubble types simply can't understand why the general population doesn't enthusiastically want to disarm after an attack by two people who balanced child rearing and bomb building.
