Looks Like Trump Is Doing What He Should Be Doing As President. Dems Wrong Again

A Little-Known, Clinton-Approved Treaty Lets Ukraine Help US Investigate Criminal Cases

Print

Unless something massive surfaces — something massive that we’ve heard nothing about so far — President Donald Trump will be exonerated yet again from another Democrat-media tissue of lies.
Depending on how you keep score, this is either 2-0 Trump, 3-0 Trump, 10-0 Trump, or ~1,000,000-0 Trump.
The Mueller narrative was a fraud. The Kavanaugh narrative was a fraud. The Scotland resort narrative was a fraud. The second Kavanaugh narrative was a fraud. Who knows how many FISA applications were frauds. And now the Ukraine whistleblower controversy is shaping up to be a fraud.
Nothing has stuck to Trump, despite the intense level of scrutiny he’s endured.
The question now is how, exactly, the anti-Trump narrative will implode this time. There are lots of ways. It could turn out that the whistleblower doesn’t actually exist and is instead just a group of jaded, deep-state intel hacks. It could be that the whistleblower is one of those hacks. It could be that the whistleblower was fed faulty, fabricated or fraudulent information to induce action. It could be that Ukraine produces jarring evidence implicating those involved in the whistleblowing effort.
x
Any one of those scenarios would lead to fascinating analysis and speculation for weeks, if not months, to come.
But what if the seed of destruction sprouts from somewhere unexpected? Somewhere like a treaty that emerged at the very end of former President Bill Clinton’s administration and was approved by a Senate in which former Vice President Joe Biden proudly served.
The treaty in question is the Treaty with Ukraine on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters, ratified by the U.S. Senate on Oct. 18, 2000.
While lawyers will have to dig into the exact wording of the treaty to tease out its applicability, an initial reading certainly lends itself to Trump’s defense.

Do you think this treaty further exonerates Trump?

The treaty, crafted with drug trafficking in mind, allows either country to call on the other for assistance in “taking the testimony or statements of persons; providing documents, records and other items of evidence; locating or identifying persons or items; serving documents; transferring persons in custody for testimony or other purposes; executing requests for searches and seizures; assisting in proceedings related to immobilization and forfeiture of assets, restitution, and collection of fines; and, rendering any other form of assistance not prohibited by the laws of the Requested State,” according to the State Department’s summary.
That’s a long list, and according to the State Department, it’s “non-exclusive,” which means that there are many other forms of assistance the treaty could facilitate. One such form could be an investigation of a group called Crowdstrike, which is the same group that the DNC brought in to investigate hacking and are, as Buzzfeed senior reporter Ryan Broderick said in an NPR interview, “sort of the ones that started the whole idea of collusion with Russia.”
A stickler might note that the Ukraine treaty designates the U.S. attorney general as the treaty point of contact, which might mean that Trump wasn’t acting in line with the treaty.
But remember, it was the Democrats who were so eager to let everyone know that Trump referenced Attorney General William Barr on the Ukraine call. Trump was setting Barr up to talk with his counterpart in Ukraine.
Trump’s a negotiator, and he likes dealing with people in person or as close to in-person as he can get. It’s only natural for him to talk with a foreign leader, communicate his desires and then have someone else handle the heavy lifting — someone like Barr.

Making the treaty defense even worse for Democrats and the anti-Trumpers is the fact that none other than William Jefferson Clinton transmitted the treaty to the Senate, writing that “I recommend that the Senate give early and favorable consideration to the Treaty and give its advice and consent to ratification.”
While not nearly as exciting as the other scenarios, defense under color of the treaty could dispense with the Democrats’ legal claims faster than any other defense the president might mount.
The Ukraine “scandal” will almost certainly fizzle, likely sooner rather than later given how quickly the cracks are forming. But if it somehow manages to gain traction, the president can easily appeal to the Clinton-era treaty designed to do exactly what Trump was trying to do — bring corruption and crime to a halt by leveraging America’s relationship with Ukraine.
Far from being illegal, it looks more and more like what Trump did was entirely appropriate for any dutiful executive, which is exactly what Trump, as the President of the United States, is.

The Deep State Keeps Tripping Over Themselves To Convict Trump

ICIG Admits it Changed Whistleblower Rules BECAUSE of the Anti-Trump Complaint

October 1, 2019

What a joke…
The Intelligence Community Inspector General (IGIC) has just confessed that it changed its rules regarding whistleblowing BECAUSE they wanted to help boost the baseless Ukraine whistleblower complaint against Donald Trump.
It all began when the IGIC recently changed its forms for whistleblowers between May 2018 and August 2019 so that a whistleblower NO LONGER needs direct, first-hand knowledge of the alleged wrongdoing that they are reporting.
This basically means that whistleblowers can now file complaints without being required to have any first-hand information about what they’re talking about. Whistleblowers can now just gossip and get away with it.
And the IGIC has just confirmed that their decision to change the rules was all an attempt to push an anti-Trump agenda.
According to a written statement by IGIC:
“In June 2019, the newly hired Director for the Center for Protected Disclosures entered on duty. Thus, the Center for Protected Disclosures has been reviewing the forms provided to whistleblowers who wish to report information with respect to an urgent concern to the congressional intelligence committees. In the process of reviewing and clarifying those forms, and in response to recent press inquiries regarding the instant whistleblower complaint, the ICIG understood that certain language in those forms and, more specifically, the informational materials accompanying the forms, could be read – incorrectly – as suggesting that whistleblowers must possess first-hand information in order to file an urgent concern complaint with the congressional intelligence committees.”
They actually ADMIT that they just wanted to help the complaint against Trump.
This is all the proof we need that the whole complaint is a joke. It wasn’t even a valid complaint – but intelligence officials decided to push it through anyway in an attempt to derail Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign.
The government is literally changing the rules of whistleblowing so that they can be allowed to push baseless conspiracies about Republican candidates. This is why need to drain the swamp more than ever before. Because unless we do, the intelligence community will continue to put our national security at risk over political squabbles. This needs to end.

Are The Democrats Following Goebbels Advice?

Pelosi, Schiff Channel Goebbels' and Hitler's Big Lie

Let’s say that during a previous administration, this nation had a vice president who is such a nebbish that he personifies what former Vice President John Nance Garner meant when he called the office a “warm bucket of spit.”
And, let’s say that when he was a sitting vice president he took his son, a drug addict who was kicked out of the Navy, on Air Force Two to China and a Chinese bank “invested” a BILLION and a HALF dollars in his son’s “private equity” firm.
And, let’s say that the same son was given a board seat in a foreign oil firm, for which he was paid $50,000 a month in spite of the fact that the only fracking he had any experience in involved needles and opioid injections.
And then, let’s say that the currently sitting president asked a favor of the leader of the nation which domiciled the company which hired the young drug addict.
Should this president be impeached?

Well, since all of the above happens to be true, apparently only if you’re a Democrat who is fixated on overthrowing a duly elected president who you hate.
It follows, then, that Nancy Pelosi and her buddies, apparently have read a little history of Nazi Germany (or, in the case of Adam Schiff have had it read to them) and think that Joseph Goebbels’ and Adolph Hitler’s Big Lie Theory will still work right here in the USofA.
Goebbels theorized that, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
That was based on a line from Hitler’s “Mein Kampf”: “The great masses of the people … will more easily fall victim to a big lie than to a small one.”
But back in those days, the population of Germany was only around 69 million and the state controlled all the media, which consisted of a few newspapers and a few radio stations. And those were not people accustomed to having any freedom.
Can the Big Lie Theory work in 2019 in the United States?
Well, the left sure thinks it can.
Here’s what the left does not understand:
  1. There’s a whole nation out there west of the Hudson River, East of the Los Angeles County line and South of the Cook County line which mostly thinks that what happens in Washington ought to stay in Washington and really doesn’t care much about the supposed wrongs that Donald Trump has allegedly committed. These are the people who elected him.
  2. The people in Washington who do NOT understand point number 1 are so cemented into their positions that they do not believe any real power emanates from the voters described in number 1. They believe they absolutely control the levers of power. Many of them are in the media and the rest are part of the deep state which really DOES exist.
  3. The people described in point number 2 are leading the nation into uncharted territory and they have no idea of what can happen if their calculus is wrong. Here’s a hint: Hong Kong. Only our military is NOT the Red Chinese Army and its members probably will NOT fire on their fellow citizens.

This could be ugly.
But the big question is how hard will anybody fight for Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff?
My neighbors mostly say it won’t even be a fight — that they will fold like the cheap suits they are.

Once Again Schiff Gets It Wrong

Schiff Is A Lying Fraud!

Listen to Schiff Destroy Own Credibility, Ask 'Ukrainian Insider' for Dirt on Trump

Remember, folks: Asking Ukrainians for any sort of help investigating someone who happens to be your political rival is unacceptable, quid pro quo or not.
Unless you’re a Democrat, that is. Then it’s OK.
If it isn’t, how is Rep. Adam Schiff is the head of the House Intelligence Committee? After all, the California Democrat had been fooled by prank callers who claimed they were a Ukrainian bigwig possessed of some dirt on President Donald Trump.
The takeaway is that Schiff — who’s now resolutely attempting to move the impeachment inquiry over the Ukraine call through Congress in as expedited a manner as possible — is perfectly willing to get information on his political opponents from foreign sources.
x
“The Russian radio hosts, Vladimir ‘Vovan’ Kuznetzov and Alexey ‘Lexus’ Stolyarov, who have close ties to the Kremlin, told Schiff that the Kremlin had naked photos of Trump and that ‘Parubiy’ could provide audio of [Russian journalist Ksenia]  Sobchak and [Russian model and singer Olga] Buzova discussing the photos,” Fox News reported.
“They also told Schiff that former Trump national security advisor Michael Flynn had met with another Russian to talk about how to prevent the photos from going public.
Schiff claims he knew it was a prank, although that explanation doesn’t seem to be borne out by his actions.
“So, you have recordings of both [Russian journalist Ksenia] Sobchak and [Russian model and singer Olga] Buzova where they’re discussing the compromising material on Mr. Trump?” Schiff said to “Parubiy.”

Do you think that Donald Trump will be impeached?

3% (5 Votes)
97% (182 Votes)
“Absolutely,” replied Kuznetzov, who was posing as Parubiy.
“Well, obviously we would welcome a chance to get copies of those recordings,” Schiff said.
Instead, we have a copy of this phone recording, which GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida decided to remind us of:
RELATED: GOP Rep. Gaetz Digs Up Audio of Schiff Telling 'Ukrainian Politician' He'll Accept Dirt on Trump
As it turns out, Schiff — then just the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee — was more than willing to talk about the details of the alleged recording.
The California Democrat seems to think that the mere act of asking for dirt on your political opponents from a foreign power is evidence of malfeasance: “What we have seen in that call record is a president of the United States use the full weight of his office … to manufacture dirt on his opponent and interfere in our election.”
There are a few things we can argue with here, such as the whole “full weight of his office” and “manufacture dirt” parts; there’s no evidence of a quid pro quo in the call — or even evidence that the Ukrainians were aware that the military aid was being withheld — and asking the Ukrainians to investigate sketchy dealings in Ukraine by the Bidens is hardly “manufactur[ing] dirt,” if perhaps not the best look morally.
That all being said, the basic gist of Schiff’s statement was this: Accepting dirt from the Ukraine is very, very bad. Unless he does it.
Schiff, again, says he knew that it was a prank call and had informed law enforcement.
“Before agreeing to take the call, and immediately following it, the committee informed appropriate law enforcement and security personnel of the conversation, and of our belief that it was probably bogus,” he said in a statement.
All right, then — why would he say that he was interested in the information?
Let’s say that Schiff was under the impression he was being put on by the Russian Jerky Boys. He could have a) hung up the phone or b) said he wasn’t interested in the information.
Option c), expressing interest in the info and then discussing details of it with the pranksters, seems very unusual for someone who knows he’s being put on.
Bottom line: If you’re one of those people who believe the quid is enough — that we don’t need a pro quo in order to nail Trump because getting information from a foreign government on a political opponent is illegal — you probably should take a close look at Adam Schiff. I doubt you or anyone else will, but we’ll always have this prank call to remind us of the hypocrisy.
