Olympic Code Does Not Apply To Israel Haters

The Olympic Code says that there can be no discrimination between competitors, however, when the Lebanese Judo team would not practice in the same gymnasium as the Israelis, they were granted special dispensation.  A curtain was erected between the teams so that both teams could practice without seeing the other.

On top of that the requested "moment of silence" for the Israeli athletes killed In Munich was not allowed. This insult along with the Lebanese snub indicates that when it comes to Israel, all the rules of polite Olympic society do not apply.

Isn't it time that the Olympic Code is applied to all? Our belief is should they  not want to be around Israelis, they can leave and not compete.

Lebanese Olympians Shun Israelis in Practice

By Simi Lampert

Published July 27, 2012.
The Lebanese judo team refused to practice alongside the Israeli team on Friday afternoon, the Times of Israel reported.
A barrier had to be put up between the teams, effectively splitting the gym in half. Olympic organizers ceded to the Lebanese coach’s demands so the Lebanese team would not have to see the Israelis, who had originally been slotted to use the same gym and mats.
This incident comes days after Iran’s judoka Javad Mahjoob was kept home instead of joining his countrymen in the Olympics, citing stomach problems. Suspicions immediately arose that he was avoiding competing against Israeli judo athletes.
Iran has made and retracted various statements over the past months, giving alternate explanations of whether its athletes would or would not compete against Israelis.

Obama: Good Bye Suburbs

You worked hard, saved your money and were able to move to your dream house in the suburbs, you were living the American Dream. Your kids go to good schools, police protection is good and things are good. Obama has different plans for you!

If Stanley Kurtz is correct, the suburb's advantage will soon be a thing of the past. In the following post we read what Obama has in store for us.  It will not be pretty.

Obama’s War on the Suburbs

July 27, 2012 - 12:28 pm - by Roger Kimball
Enjoying your summer?  Stanley Kurtz is just about to darken it.  His brilliant new book, out next week but available for pre-order now,  is Spreading the Wealth: How Obama is Robbing the Suburbs to Pay for the CitiesI’ve just been looking at an advance copy and can report that it is  a depressing yet tonic exposé, replete with the meticulously researched investigative reporting and sober political wisdom that are hallmarks of Kurtz’s work. Here are a couple of paragraphs from the introduction
While public attention has been riveted on high-profile congressional battles over the stimulus, health care, and the debt ceiling, Obama has been quietly laying the regulatory groundwork for a profound transformation of American society. The founders would not approve. From the Pilgrim fathers to the frontier settlers to the post-World War II exodus to the suburbs, Americans have enjoyed the freedom to move and to govern themselves as they have seen fit in their new homes. Yet the spirit of enterprise and self-government that made our country great looks very different to Obama.
In the eyes of Obama’s community organizing colleagues – close followers of Saul Alinsky, the leftist radical who founded the profession – America’s suburbs are instruments of bigotry and greed. Moving to a suburb in pursuit of the American dream of an affordable family home and quality, locally controlled schools looks to Obama and his organizing mentors like selfishly refusing to share tax money with the urban poor.
Obama means to fix that with regulations designed to force Americans out of their cars and into high-density urban centers, squeezing the population into a collection of new Manhattans. Obama also aims to force suburbanites to redistribute tax money to nearby cities while effectively merging urban and suburban school districts so as to equalize their funding. If you can afford to move to a suburban all, there will no longer be a point. In effect America’s cities will have swallowed up their suburbs. The result: your freedom of movement, America’s tradition of local self-rule, the incentive to better your circumstances, and therefore national prosperity all will have been eroded.
As I say, Kurtz’s argument is depressing. It is also infuriating. No one who reads this passionate and well-argued book would even dream of voting for Barack Obama. Which is one reason why everyone who has the franchise should read it.

Conservative Ideas For Running America

Although we would disagree with the title of the following posting as we would not restrict it to Christian Conservatives (all conservatives regardless of religion might agree), we  believe that many of the ideas should have wide acceptance.  What is your opinion?

25 Examples of What America Would Be Like if We Were All Christian Conservative Tea Partiers
Get Dinesh D'Souza's new book FREE!
If every American was a Christian conservative Tea Partier...
1) …There would be fewer regulations, lower taxes, a business-friendly environment, and a much smaller government that would lead to considerably stronger economic growth and job creation. In fact, we'd probably have to dramatically increase the number of work permits we hand out to foreign workers, not because there are "jobs Americans won't do" (which don't actually exist), but because so many Americans would be employed that we'd have to bring in more people to do all of the available work.
2) ...The richest Americans would have more money. Of course, so would the middle class and the poor. In fact, the only Americans who wouldn't benefit economically would be the Americans who spend their lives relying on the government, instead of their own effort, to pay their bills.
3) ...We'd have some form of a Balanced Budget Amendment to insure that we don't have a deficit or a debt.
4) ...We'd have a much flatter, simpler tax code that you could fill out on a single sheet of paper.
5) ...Welfare and food stamps would still exist, but there wouldn't be as much need for them, it would be considered shameful to take either, and you can be sure that people would have to work for every hand-out they receive.
6) ...Social Security would be privatized and invested. That means the people who put nothing in would have nothing to take out, but the people who do pay in would have a lot more money to withdraw.
7) ...We'd still put some research money into alternative energy, but we'd also work to build a lot more nuclear power plants and we'd encourage private industry to produce more clean coal and natural gas. Oil would also be much cheaper because we'd have already drilled ANWR, the keystone pipeline would be built, and we'd be opening up federal land to environmentally responsible drilling at every opportunity. This would lead to much lower energy bills for the average American.
8) ...We'd have the same sort of "loser pays" legal system that’s practiced in much of the rest of the civilized world. That would dramatically reduce the number of lawsuits and the cost of legal insurance.
9) ...There would be a lot less government workers and the ones we’d have would make less on average than the taxpayers paying their salary.
10) ...Health care would be much cheaper and more efficient because you could buy insurance across state lines; we'd have tort reform, health care savings accounts, and tax credits for health care would go to individuals instead of companies, which means that you wouldn't lose your insurance if you lose your job.
11) ...The fence would be built, the border would be secure, anyone who overstayed his VISA would be tracked down and deported, and illegal aliens who did make it into the country would be forever barred from visiting here legally or becoming citizens.
12) ...Legal immigration would be faster, cheaper, and much more efficient. We'd also be selecting new American immigrants based on merit instead of rewarding people for breaking our laws or allowing them to come here because their son or cousin already managed to become a citizen.
13) ...English would be the national language.
14) ...People would look at you like you’re an idiot, as they should today, if you suggest that the Constitution is a living document. You'd also see a lot more Constitutional amendments because the Supreme Court would stick to the law as written unless it was amended.
15) ...The crime rate would be so low because of the lack of criminals and the prevalence of guns that in much of the country, people wouldn't bother to lock their doors.
16) ...The death penalty would be applied much more liberally for terrible crimes and it wouldn't take 15 years of appeals to carry it out.
17) ...All people would be welcome to practice their religious faith with no official state-run religion, just as the Founding Fathers intended. So, yes, you could have a manger in front of the town hall at Christmas and the Ten Commandments on a court house wall, and teachers in public school could teach from the Bible in class when it was appropriate.
18) ...Not only would there be no gay marriage, we'd be taking steps to strengthen marriage -- like getting rid of no-fault divorce and it would be acknowledged that a mother and a father would do a better job of raising kids than any other combination.
19) ....Children would be taught abstinence in school, having kids out of wedlock would be frowned upon, and abortion would be legal only in the case of rape, incest, or danger to the life of the mother.
20) ...Kids would start out school with the Pledge of Allegiance and a daily prayer.
21) ...We'd have school vouchers so that we could introduce competition into our school systems and allow all parents to send their kids to the same kind of schools that the rich do today. We'd also spend a lot more time teaching kids reading, writing, arithmetic, history, and economics and spend a lot less time worrying about their self-esteem.
22) ...You wouldn't have terrorists, communists, and people who hate America teaching at our universities.
23) ...Racism would practically be non-existent, there would be no need for the NAACP, LA RAZA, or Affirmative Action and people would, "not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
24) ...We'd have safe water, safe food, clean air, and a clean environment, but we'd put an end to the years of legal challenges to new building projects and people having their land declared a "wetland" because the ground gets soggy for a few days a year.
25) ...There would be no public unions. Private unions would, of course, still exist, but no one would be forced to join and employers, if they so desire, would be able to fire everyone in the union and get a new work force.

Ammo, Checkpoint Booths, Radiation Pills--What Else Is On The Government Purchase Plan

We cannot vouch for the radiation pills but the bullets and checkpoint booths have been announced in press releases by the company providing the materiel.  Could we be heading for really bad times? We sure do hope not but the purchases make no peaceful sense.

What's the government buying these days? Hollow point bullets, hardened checkpoint booths and radiation pills

Wednesday, April 18, 2012
by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger
Editor of (See all articles...)

(NaturalNews) You can tell a lot about a person by assessing what they purchase. It's called "consumer profiling," and corporations do it all the time. That's how those grocery store loyalty discount programs work, by the way -- they profile your psychology by analyzing what you're buying. From that information, they can target you for coupons, mailers and other marketing campaigns that "magically" speak to your particular interests. It's not magic, of course; it's justbehavioral profiling.

So what happens if we profile the purchasing behavior of the U.S. government? What do we find?

Bullets, bullet-proof roadside checkpoint booths, and anti-radiation pills.

450 million rounds of hollow points to be used against the American people

Just a few weeks ago, the federal government initiated a contract for acquiring 450 million rounds of .40 caliber ammunition. "The special hollow point effectively passes through a variety of barriers and holds its jacket in the toughest conditions," says a press release from the award winner, ammunition manufacturer ATK. ( This ammo is for the Department of Homeland Security as well as ICE.

Question: What does DHS intend to do with 450 million rounds of barrier-piercing hollow point ammunition?

The really important answer is that no one buys hollow point bullets for target practice. They're too expensive. Practice ammo is always FMJ ammo (Full Metal Jacket), meaning it has a solid tip. But the far more expensive hollow point ammo is ballistically designed to shred internal organs upon impact. It's the kind of ammo used by police officers who want to shatter the bad guy's sternum as quickly as possible and thereby bring him to the ground where he bleeds out from internal tissue trauma.

The DHS is a domestic agency. It does not fight wars overseas. It almost exclusively concerns itself with the American people on American soil. That the DHS is contracting to buy 450 million rounds of hollow point ammo can only mean DHS plans to need this ammo to be used against the American people.

Do the math: That's almost two bullets for every man, woman and child in America -- all in the hands of a government agency that says you should spy on your fellow citizens because they might be terrorists. The message is clear: Government is good, citizens are bad. And DHS feels it needs 450 million rounds of hollow point ammo to keep the American people in line, apparently. For what other purpose would so much hollow point ammo be purchased?

Bullet-proof roadside checkpoint booths

If you're still not convinced that the USA is rapidly devolving into a fascist police state with TSA and DHS goons feeling your genitals at the airport and randomly searching your bags on city busses, DHS has now bought tens of millions of dollars worth of bullet-proof roadway checkpoint boothsfeaturing level-3 bulletproof glass (

It forces us to ask the obvious question: For what purpose does the DHS need thousands of bulletproof checkpoint booths?

Once again, the answer is obvious: To quickly erect "show us your papers" checkpoints on roadways, highways and key traffic points nationwide.

Oh, by the way, DHS is also acquiring monstrous assault vehicles which you can see pictured here:

And in Houston, the TSA has unleashed a network of bus-riding secret agents to spy on citizens and search their bags on city busses. What's next, are they going to feel your genitals on the bus, too? You might be hiding a bomb in your anus, you know...

Do you think it is a coincidence that DHS is sourcing 450 million rounds of hollow point bullets at the same time it is buying thousands of bulletproof checkpoint booths and hardened armored assault vehicles?

You may have also noticed cable barriers being installed along the medians of roadways across the country, by the way. Where there used to be just open grass, they are now pouring concrete, setting metal posts, and connecting them with multiple strands of high-strength steel cables. Have you figured out the purpose of these yet?

Isn't it obvious? They're designed to make it impossible for people to pull a U-turn and avoid the checkpoint booths that will soon be appearing! (And staffed by DHS and TSA agents wielding .40 hollow point bullets, no less.)

Are you starting to see the bigger picture here?

$400,000 in radiation fallout pills

In addition to the hollow point ammo and the bulletproof checkpoint booths, the U.S. government has also purchased $400,000 worth of potassium iodide pills -- the kind of pills you take to avoid damage to your thyroid in the wake of radioactive fallout.

This is being done, of course, in anticipation of yet more problems at Fukushima, where just one more explosion or earthquake could unleash a hellstorm of radioactive pollution affecting virtually the entire planet. (

Isn't it interesting that the U.S. government is purchasing massive quantities of radiation protection pills, but when the Fukushima disaster struck in 2011, President Obama urged the American people to "do nothing" and assured them that they did not need to buy potassium iodide pills?

So here we have yet another case where the U.S. government is getting prepared while urging American citizens to AVOID getting prepared!

Isn't it time YOU got prepared?

Why would DHS need so many bullets and booths?

It's obvious that DHS is buying all this gear to be used against the American people. But why?

Here, I reveal a rational list of possible explanations for this behavior. These are what I see as possible situations that would result in DHS activating their plans to take over America's roadways and set up armed checkpoints across the nation:

• Fukushima disaster followed by radiation wave. This would result in a mass of refugees fleeing the West Coast.

• Grid down. This is a worst-case scenario, actually, which would result in mass death across U.S. cities. Huge outflows of refugees would be met by DHS checkpoints. Admittedly, some of these checkpoint booths might actually be handy for small cities and towns to protect themselves from fleeing desperate refugees from the larger cities.

• Financial collapse followed by social unrest. In this scenario, the checkpoints would be used to limit travel and control a very unhappy population.

• False flag terror attack followed by declaration of Martial Law. The checkpoints would be used like they were in East Germany. "Show us your papers!" Anyone who doesn't have the right papers gets arrested, beaten, raped, tasered and thrown in one of Obama's secret prisons authorized by the NDAA.

• Pandemic outbreak and quarantine of cities. In this scenario, the checkpoints would be used to keep people IN the cities, preventing their escape. (Escape from New York, eh?)

• No emergency at all: DHS could decide to just implement all the checkpoints even without any event happening. It could all be put in place merely as part of their prisoner training agenda, which the TSA has been carrying out for years in the airports. Sort of a "get used to living in a police state" psychological tactic. I have no doubt that even if thousands of these checkpoints were put in place right now, all the government-worshipping, boot-licking Americans would bow down and praise the DHS for "keeping them safe" by borrowing a page right out of Nazi Germany.

Some people just love oppression, it turns out. I'm pretty sure they're vaccine damaged.

Record gun sales across America... what does it mean?

DHS is without a doubt gearing up for something big. Yeah, BIG. At the same time, Americans are buying firearms in record numbers -- as in millions of guns a month.

My friend, a deputy Sheriff who runs a gun store, says he has to "pull 20 strings" just to keep rifles in stock. They are flying off the shelves like nothing he's ever seen before in over two decades of business. Multiple firearms companies in the USA have publicly announced they are REJECTING all new orders from retailers because they are so backlogged in manufacturing guns that they can't even keep up.

By my estimates, Americans have already purchased over 10 million firearms in just the first four months of 2012. And the numbers just keep growing.

What's going on with all this?

Regardless of what you think about firearms, the honest answer is that Americans are legally and lawfully arming to the teeth. They are stockpiling ammo like never before. They're buying emergency medical supplies and stored food. One home builder I know told me he's working on a luxury subdivision in a major U.S. city where every single homeowner opted to build a "bunker room" inside the house as an add-on. (I had no idea...)

If you don't run in these circles, you may not be aware of all this. But I've got friends in law enforcement, in the military, former intelligence officers, people in the food industry, and so on. They feed me info on a regular basis, and what they're telling me is that both the government and the (informed) public are all stockpiling like never before, and a lot of people are getting nervous about the possibility of Martial Law or government confiscation of food, farms, guns, gold and more.

If this is all news to you because you've never heard this before, you should be even more concerned because it means you're probably behind the curve on all this. If you don't own a firearm, rest assured that most of your neighbors probably do by now (depending on where you live, of course). And huge numbers of them are also taking classes and seminars on how to use those firearms in self defense. Just call any of the major instructional schools (Gunsight, Thunder Ranch, etc.) and ask them yourself. You'll find out that their classes are all sold out, or that they're added new classes like mad in order to keep up with the demand.

How can we avoid conflict?

You've probably already figured out that all this purchasing of guns and ammo could be a disastrous recipe if the government begins to see the American people as the enemy. There are signs this is already under way, with even the Boy Scouts now being trained to target U.S. veterans as if they were enemy terrorists.

In a recent interview on the Alex Jones Show, survival author James Wesley Rawles ( warned that any government attempt to disarm the U.S. public would be disastrous and end in total failure. The American people are already armed to the teeth, and they're getting even MORE armed by the day. Yet Attorney General Eric Holder has been conspiring with Janet Napolitano to try to outlaw the Second Amendment by running guns into Mexico and blaming the resulting gun violence on lawful gun owners. This is the whole "Fast & Furious" fiasco (

There is also talk that if Obama is reelected, he may seek to ban all semi-auto firearms, which means most ranch rifles, handguns and even many shotguns. This is also driving large numbers of people into the gun shops to buy up the available inventory like never before. In the gun shop I visit in Austin, there's a poster on the wall of President Obama, labeled, "Salesman of the Year." Truth be told, no President has resulted in more guns getting into the hands of private citizens than Obama!

Even the parts backlog is getting bad. I've run into this myself: Just ordering gun parts has turned into a nightmare, with 2-3 month wait times on many parts. I recently tried to purchase some new holster gear and had to wait 8 weeks for it. When I spoke to the retailer, they told me "Everything is being bought up by returning veterans" who are gearing up at home.

Something huge is taking shape, and my Spidey Sense is getting a really bad vibe about it. I can only hope and pray that whatever comes down does not involve the government making a really bad miscalculation and thinking it can nullify the Bill of Rights and try to disarm the American public. That would be a terrible mistake that could result in a huge loss of life. What government needs to do right now is find some humility and stop destroying the United States Constitution and crushing our rights and freedoms.

Yet, regrettably, that's not what I see happening. All across the country, I see government (both national and local) becoming more arrogant, more combative, and more thuggish in their behavior. Just look at the inexplicable actions of the Michigan DNR which now unleashes arms "hit squads" of government agents to mass slaughter farmers' livestock using armed farm raids (

Or look at Darrin McBreen's recent visit to Roswell, GA, where brutish-looking local cops warned the InfoWars crew to "stop filming the City Hall" and backed this up by claiming "There is no such thing as public property in Georgia." (Yeah, seriously. This recording was played on national radio.)

In California, we've got the illegal and highly suspect raids against raw dairy farmers, and in Pennsylvania, cops steal children away from mothers in hospitals and have them forcibly vaccinated (i.e. sterilized) as part of a population control agenda.

Government is not getting less arrogant, but MORE arrogant across this nation. And I fear it can only end in something disastrous. The People will not put up with tyranny forever. There is a point beyond which people figure they have nothing left to lose and they take action to restore their fundamental liberties. This is the lesson of history, repeated over and over again, nation by nation, throughout recorded human history.

Where will YOU be in all this?

I urge you to stay safe

I plan to be hunkered down at a ranch in Austin, Texas. Got my chickens, goats, rain barrel and ranch rifle. I'll be joining forces with the local Sheriff to stop looters, if it comes to that, and I'll be growing medicinal herbs to use in first aid treatment (I've actually already planted quite a collection). Who knows, I may end up running refugee duty, providing emergency medical care to refugees fleeing the city of Austin itself.

Now, you may not agree with my analysis of all this, but these contract numbers don't lie. DHS is really buying hundreds of millions of ammunition rounds. Private citizens are really buying millions of gunsevery month. And even if you don't believe in owning firearms yourself, this is nevertheless the reality of what's happening around you. I urge you to have a strategy that deals with this reality in an informed, compassionate and yet determined way. Things are shifting rapidly. The government is in mass stockpiling mode. Citizens are convinced something big is about to happen. We're four months into 2012 and there are a lot of people who think December, 2012 is going to be a chaotic time (I personally don't believe in all the Mayan calendar stuff, but that's just my view).

I know I'll be ready, but I'm concerned that many NaturalNews readers aren't as ready as they should be. I want you to do well through hard times. I want you to be safe, to have crucial skills, and to be part of the solution rather than the problem. People who fail to get prepared become part of the problem, but people who get prepared in advance can help provide critical supplies and skills to their local community, thereby reducing the burden on law enforcement and emergency services.

Be part of the solution. Get prepared now for whatever might be coming. And think hard about why DHS is contracting to acquire 450 million bullets to be used domestically.

The writing is on the wall, folks. If you can't read it when it's all this blazingly obvious, there's not much else I can say to help ya.

Blueprint For Obama's Second Term

Want an insight into a second Obama term? If so, read the following post and if you are not shaken to the roots, you are not alive.

Obama's second-term agenda will prove devastating to U.S.

  • ObamaBiden.jpg
Feb. 21, 2012: President Barack Obama, accompanied by Vice President Joe Biden, speaks in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on the White House complex in Washington. (AP)
Americans may think they know what President Obama would do if he wins four more years. But, in reality, they have no idea just how radical and far-reaching his agenda would be.
Obama himself has been clear about using another term to “reform” our financial sector and ensure the implementation of ObamaCare. The president also has said he would attempt progressive-style immigration reform, with the presumption of amnesty for illegal aliens.
'Will we, the American people, allow ourselves to be fooled again?'
Many figure Obama would continue his relentless expansion of federal government power; increasing even further his crushing, multitrillion-dollar intergenerational debt; and pursue a weak foreign policy coupled with the evisceration of America’s military.
These generalized ambitions, however, do not scratch the surface of the specific, transformative assault that is planned upon our country.
Months of painstaking research into thousands of documents have enabled Brenda J. Elliott and me to expose the detailed template for Obama’s next four years -- the one actually created by Obama’s own top advisers, strategists and associated progressive groups.
This second-term blueprint is laid bare in our upcoming book, “Fool Me Twice: Obama’s Shocking Plans for the Next Four Years Exposed.”
We found that, just as in 2008, when Obama concealed his true presidential plans behind bland rhetoric of ending partisan differences and cutting the federal deficit, his 2012 re-election theme of creating jobs conceals far more than it reveals about his true agenda for a second term.

Here are some of the second-term plans we uncovered:
• The re-creation of a 21st-century version of FDR’s Works Progress Administration program within the Department of Labor that would oversee a massive new bureaucracy and millions of new federal jobs;
• An additional government-funded jobs program that provides “good jobs” capable of supporting a family with a “decent standard of living.”
• A new government mandate to force businesses to provide twelve weeks of paid benefits to employees who need time off to care for a new child, a sick family member, or their own illness. Plus, a higher, required minimum wage that would raise the floor for all employees.
•       An expansive, de facto amnesty program for illegal aliens via both executive order and interagency directives linked with a reduction in the capabilities of the U.S. Border Patrol.
•     Plans to bring in untold numbers of new immigrants with the removal of caps on H-1B visas and green cards.
•     Government-funded, neighborhood-based programs to better integrate the newly amnestied immigrants into society, including education centers and health care centers. A “federal solution” to ensure that the amnestied immigrants are treated “equitably” across the United States.
•     A National Infrastructure Bank that would evaluate and finance infrastructure projects of substantial regional and national importance” and would finance “transportation infrastructure, housing, energy, telecommunications, drinking water, wastewater, and other infrastructures.”
•     The wresting of control of the military budget from Congress by placing an ”independent panel” in charge of military spending while slashing  the defense budget in shocking ways.
•      Spreading the vastly reduced resources of the U.S. Armed Forces even thinner by using them to combat “global warming,” fight global  poverty, remedy “injustice,” bolster the United Nations and step up use of  “peacekeeping” deployments;
•     A new “green” stimulus program and the founding of a federal “green” bank or “Energy Independence Trust,” which would borrow from the federal treasury to provide low-cost financing to private-sector investments in “clean energy. “
•  A “green Manufacturing” revolving loan fund to create 680,000 manufacturing jobs and 1,972,000 additional jobs over five years
•     Detailed plans to enact single-payer health care legislation controlled by the federal government.

How did we obtain this expansive blueprint? By investigating the policy papers and legislative proposals of the same progressive shadow groups that crafted Obama’s first term.
Obama’s first-term strategy did not materialize out of thin air. The president’s signature policies, including the “stimulus,” defense initiatives and even ObamaCare, were crafted over years by key progressive think tanks and activists, usually first promoted in extensive research and policy papers. Some first-term plans were even recycled and modified from older legislative attempts that had previously been pushed by progressive Democrats.
Many of these same progressive groups and activists have been hard at work planning Obama’s second-term strategy: jobs, wages, health care, immigration, defense, even electoral reform.
One joke going around the capital after the rare Washington earthquake of August 2011 was that Obama had proclaimed it: “Bush’s fault.” Yet it was Bush who must be credited with dusting off an old American saw that well applies to his White House successor: “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.”
Will we, the American people, allow ourselves to be fooled again?

And You Think ObamaCare Will Cost Us Less?

As far as we know (however, we have not done a complete survey) no government program, other than the Salt Lake Olympics, has ever made money.  All one has to look at is the Post Office, which is now out of money, or the following article about Amtrak losing millions on food and beverages.

How in the bloody heck can we expect government to run a significantly more complex enterprise such as health care when they cannot run a fairly simple service such as food and drink on a train or taking a letter from point "A" to point "B"?  It cannot be done and it will not be done.  All the estimates will be understated and the costs will be 20-100 times the CBO estimates which already have tripled from the time of the debate and the law has not been fully implemented.

We must end ALL government service programs (Amtrak, ObamaCare, Post Office) that cannot be break even propositions.  If it cannot take in the same amount that it spends (or less), it needs to be eliminated. If the service is important and can be profitable, then an entrepreneur will provide it.

Bottom line, we cannot continue to spend like drunken sailors and do "nice" things for people when they do not at least make money.  It is time to thin the herd and lets start with the Post office, ObamaCare and Amtrak.

Amtrak lost $800M on cheeseburgers and soda

August 2, 2012
Taxpayers lost $833 million over the last decade on the food and beverages supplied by Amtrak, which managed to spend $1.70 for every dollar that received in revenue.

“Over the last ten years, these losses have amounted to a staggering $833.8 million,” said Rep.John Mica, R-Fla., in a statement previewing a House hearing today.  “It costs passengers $9.50 to buy a cheeseburger on Amtrak, but the cost to taxpayers is $16.15.  Riders pay $2.00 for a Pepsi, but each of these sodas costs the U.S. Treasury $3.40.”

" is currently selling 24-packs of 12 ounce Pepsi cans for $8.94 -- which averages to about 75 cents per can."

Amtrak President Joe Boardman tried encourage House investigators by telling them that last year's losses represent an improvement over previous years. "Our ongoing programs have certainly delivered measurable financial efficiencies," Boardman told Congress in his written testimony today. "In 2006, our food and beverage service recovered 49 percent of their costs. In 2011, these services recovered 59 percent of their costs," he testified.

The food service is legally obligated to break even, but Amtrak lost $84 million just last year. “The rail service’s food and beverage operation has 1,234 employees, and taking into account Amtrak’s $84.5 million loss last year, that’s $68, 476 per employee," Mica said.

Helmet Laws -- Is It Really Freedom At Stake?

Before you think we have hit our collective heads on the sidewalk, take a second and think about the message in the following post.  When will government end its confiscation of our freedoms? Do we really need to be this protected?

Is freedom lost overnight? No, it is the slow progression of time where one little, meaningless right being taken away without our noticing it. All of a sudden things that a generation ago were legal, no longer are.

In the past three years we have seen massive rights taken away whether it is not being able to protest in view of the President or unelected people making life and death decisions (Obamacare) or executive orders that circumvent Congress (Fast and Furious, Cap and Trade, Illegal Aliens to name a couple.)

Is it time to take back our freedoms? Or are you comfortable being taken care  of?

My friend George Who Refused To Wear A Motor-cycle Helmet

by mjdar

Back in the mid 1980’s, California (fascist, liberal, left-wing state) passed a law.  People who chose to ride a motor-cycle had to wear a helmet or face tickets, fines, etc. It had just become ‘unlawful.’   This did not sit well with a college class-mate named George;   He was very upset over this law and decided that he would ‘buck the system’.  George was in my Drama class, so, I thought perhaps he might be doing this just to get attention.  This was not the case, and how wrong I was about George, laws, etc.   Many people made fun of him, I did not.  I would sit and listen to him and how mad he was, day after day.  I told him one day “George, why don’t you just ‘let this go?’”  (George had been receiving many tickets, fines, etc AND paid them all.) “Let this go? Have you gone crazy, Pauli!!??””  “Don’t you understand that if they take away my right to not wear a helmet, they will come after another freedom and another, until we don’t have freedom, anymore, Pauli.”

George had so many tickets, fines and it just added up, everyday, more and more.  Finally the news-papers took notice and George was pictured in the news-paper without his helmet, standing next to his motor-cycle.   I was  happy that he was fighting so passionately for this.  I realized early on, after I unrighteously confronted him, that he was not just fighting to ‘look cool.’
He was fighting for FREEDOM.

George was also married and had a few children, I believe 3.  His wife was a wonderful lady, she worked as a waitress.  She stood by him, 100%- for many years to come.  They did get divorced and I believe the fines caused much economic strain.  Every so often, I would see George, without a helmet, and I would smile.  It was him that helped begin my own anger at fascist governing and gave me the strength to stand up to them in my town.   (In 1989, I got involved in my own town for freedom in our streets.)

Many years later, I saw George’s wife.  She was working in a different restaurant and I asked her “How is George?”  She said; “We are friends now, but we have gotten divorced.”  I told her: ‘Sweetie, George was right’.    I began to explain to her the many things that the dictatorship of Calif had passed since George’s stand.   She just looked at me slack-jawed.  I said: “He was right.  To him, I owe much.”   She smiled and said:  “I will tell him this, Pauli, he is still fighting the governing powers of California”
