We told you a week or so ago that we would report on the Michigan Republican Convention, so here we go. This was the first time we had been selected to be a delegate to the event and as such everything was new.
We nominated the Republican slate of candidates including the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, US Senator Candidate and candidates for the State Board of Education and governing Boards of three universities.
But the highlight in our mind, was the excitement that was generated by the speeches, the interaction between the candidates and the delegates, and the informal parties the night before. It showed that Republicans could really work together to present a united attack on our "enemy" the Democrats.
We hope that we added a bit of exciting by revealing our presence robot. On Friday night we arranged for the delegates to meets and greet "Fred," (our nickname for the machine, even though our partner doesn't like it--hey, we are writing the article!) We believe it could revolutionize campaigning, especially for small groups.
