ISIS Calls for “Month of Conquest and Jihad” Against Europe, America
“All the day they trouble mine affairs; all their thoughts are against me for evil.” Psalms 56:6 (The Israel Bible™)
The Islamic State (ISIS) is apparently looking for followers to mark the upcoming month of Ramadan with increased attacks against Western targets, reports Breitbart. A thus far unauthenticated recording appeared on Twitter Saturday, calling on ISIS hopefuls to use their positions to further the Islamic cause in Europe and America.
“Ramadan, the month of conquest and jihad. Get prepared, be ready … to make it a month of calamity everywhere for the non-believers … especially for the fighters and supporters of the caliphate in Europe and America,” the recording, attributed to Abu Muhammad al-Adnani, official spokesperson for ISIS, states.
Adnani encourages supporters of the Islamic terrorist group to take action wherever they are. “The smallest action you do in their heartland is better and more enduring to us than what you would do if you were with us. If one of you hoped to reach the Islamic State, we wish we were in your place to punish the Crusaders day and night.”
ISIS has taken credit for a series of terror attacks in European and Arab countries over the past year, though the recording mentions nothing of last week’s EgyptAir crash, which officials speculate may have been caused by terror.
In response to the growing threat ISIS represents, a US-led coalition started launching airstrikes against the self-proclaimed caliphate in 2014, following the group’s seizure of large swathes of territory in Iraq and Syria.
“Their planes do not distinguish between civilians and combatants, man or woman,” Adnani says in the recording, in apparent reference to these airstrikes.
While its authenticity has yet to be verified, the recording was circulated via Twitter accounts which typically carry ISIS statements.
