WOMAN ARRESTED FOR IN-FLIGHT MOLESTATION
Police: Suspect, 26, touched female victim's private parts
An Oregon woman who flew to the state Sunday evening from Las Vegas, Nevada, is accused of molesting a female passenger on the flight home.
Heidi McKinney, 26, was arrested on a sex-abuse charge after she reportedly touched the private parts of another woman on an Alaska Airlines flight, according to a police report posted online by the Smoking Gun. The victim told police the alleged contact wasn’t consensual.
“When the plane landed at [Portland International Airport], officers contacted the female victim who reported she was touched on the breast and genitals without consent by another female passenger,” the police report stated. “The suspect was identified as 26 year old Heidi F. McKinney of Banks, OR. After the initial investigation by officers, McKinney was arrested based on probable cause for Sex Abuse in the Third Degree. McKinney was transported to the Multnomah County Detention Center where she was booked and lodged.”
McKinney’s bail was set at $2,500.
“It’s unclear whether alcohol was a factor in the alleged illegal contact,” the Smoking Gun reported.
