Israel Has A Friend In Trump. Its Not Just Words But Deeds.

For the Trump-Kushner Clan, Supporting Israel Is a Family Business

“So Hashem gave unto Israel all the land which He swore to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.” Joshua 21:41 (The Israel Bible™)
Jared Kushner’s family foundation has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to various Jewish and Israeli causes in recent years, and some of that money has funded projects in Judea and Samaria, Haaretz reported Monday. This puts the Kushner clan in good company with its in-laws, the Trumps, who have also given funds to support Jewish residents in the Biblical heartland.
Jared Kushner, President-elect Donald Trump’s Orthodox Jewish son-in-law and advisor, sits on the board of the Charles and Seryl Kushner Foundation, named for his parents. Among the millions of dollars the family donates annually, money is directed to yeshivas (religious seminaries) and organizations located past Israel’s Green Line.
Much of the donations go towards teaching Torah to religious Jewish youth. In 2013, the foundation gave $20,000 to American Friends of Beit El Yeshiva, which supports a program for religious youth in a community in Judea.
It gave several donations, amounting to about $15,000, to the Etzion Foundation, which supports three educational programs located in the Gush Etzion settlement bloc south of Jerusalem – Yeshivat Har Etzion, Kibbutz Migdal Oz and the Herzog College teachers’ training institution.
Ohr Torah Stone, a network of high school, college and graduate programs in Israel and the US and based in the Gush Etzion city of Efrat, received $5,000.
The Kushner Foundation has donated hundreds of thousands to other Israeli causes as well, most notably Friends of the IDF, to which it gave $315,000 in donations between 2011 and 2013.
Kushner’s father-in-law Trump has also donated to building and maintaining Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. After the 2005 forced evacuation of Gush Katif, a bloc of Jewish settlements in Gaza, Trump reportedly donated money to help create new communities for the families who lost their homes.
Trump also gave money to help resettle Jewish evacuees from the Sinai Peninsula after Israel pulled out of the region in the 1980’s following its peace agreement with Egypt.
The current President-elect was only following his own family tradition. His father, the late Fred Trump, donated land fifty years ago for the building of a Jewish community center and yeshiva in New York which is still active today.
While the current White House administration strongly condemns Israel’s “settlements”, Trump advisors have said the future leader does not view them as obstacles to peace, and has indicated that he will show support for building endeavors in Judea and Samaria.
