Deported Illegal Gets Caught Doing This
Border agents caught a former Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals recipient illegally crossing from Mexico into California late Monday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced Thursday.
Agents from the Calexico Border Patrol Station were tipped off by a remote video surveillance system of movement about 3.5 miles east of downtown Calexico, Calif., at 11:50 p.m. PST Monday. Surveillance operators confirmed a person had crossed the border and was running north.
“After running about 200 yards north of the fence, the man laid down on the ground. The subject stood up and attempted to abscond by running away as agents approached him to make the arrest. After a brief foot chase, agents caught and detained the subject,” CBP reported in a statement.
Juan Manuel Montes-Bojorquez, a 23-year-old Mexican citizen, was taken into custody and processed at the Calexico border station. Officials said he had been removed from the U.S. on Feb. 19, 2017, by way of Calexico after trying to illegally enter the U.S. on that occasion as well.
