The underhandedness of the Democrat party has been exposed… again.
A secret recording has been released reportedly revealing campaign law violations by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
Bad Business
The conversation in question took place last December.
House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer was discussing the election with Democrat Candidate for the 6thCongressional District in Colorado, Levi Tilleman.
Tilleman, you see, was not the choice for the establishment and they were doing everything they could to stop him from winning the seat.
In fact, during the conversation, Hoyer openly admitted the party had significant money invested in another candidate and wanted Tilleman to drop out.
After hearing the full audio, a government ethics watchdog group (FACT) filed suit against the DCCC on Tuesday.
Holding Back
Another candidate in the same race, David Aarestad, said the DCCC gave its candidate, Jason Crow, access to all kinds of information it gave no one else.
FACT stated the information given to Crow was an in-kind donation that should have been reported, but it was not.
Executive Director of FACT, Kendra Arnold, stated, “Candidate reporting requirements exist to prevent corruption and ensure transparency in our elections, which is something the DCCC showed a blatant disregard for in this case.”
Establishment Deciding
In addition to the blatant corruption, the audio exposed how Washington elites are trying to ensure their candidates get to the general election rather than the people actually deciding.
Hoyer told Tilleman, “I am for Crow because a judgement was made very early on. I don’t know Crow. I didn’t participate in the decision. But, a decision was made early on by the Colorado delegation.”
Tilleman, just to be sure what Hoyer was saying stated, “So your position is, a decision was made very early on before voters had a say, and that’s because the DCCC knows better than the voters of the 6th Congressional District, and we should lineup behind that candidate.”
Showing her ignorance, Nancy Pelosi even backed that position up, saying it was nothing more than “the realities of life in the race.”
This is the establishment deciding who runs in the races, not the people.
It is doubtful that is the way the Founding Fathers envisioned our elections taking place.
