2020 Dem Visits Nursing Home – Gets Roasted by Sweet Old Lady
For a few brief, blissful moments, Democratic candidate for president Kamala Harris was riding high. She enjoyed a bump in the polls after she tore into Joe Biden. But it didn’t last long. To get some support from top voters, she visited a nursing home in Iowa. But one elderly lady wasn’t standing for Harris’ left-wing agenda.
It’s common knowledge that all 2020 Democrats fighting for the nomination can’t compete with Trump. After just two-and-a-half years, the president has done the impossible to save our country. His policies and hard work have produced an economy former President Obama said was gone forever. It’s amazing to see what’s possible, when a president actually puts America first.
Democrats can’t promise a better economy than Trump. Their policies, in fact, would damage our economy beyond repair. All their plans involve raising taxes, creating massive government regulations (killing jobs), and in some cases outright destroying entire industries.
All of them want to give free healthcare to illegal immigrants. All of them want open borders. All of them want to pay off student loan debt. But none of them will tell you how they’ll pay for it.
Kamala Harris is just one of many 2020 candidates lurching to the left. After she bested Joe Biden in the first round of debates, she enjoyed some good press. Hey, the fake news media can make anyone look good, right?
But that quickly faded as Harris’ history of incarcerating hundreds of thousands of minorities as California’s AG came to light. Liberals are quickly distancing themselves from this candidate.
She is trying to improve her image. That’s not even going well. She stopped by a nursing home in Iowa, hoping for a nice, easy photo op. She wasn’t expecting one of the residents to hold her feet to the fire.
An elderly woman living in a nursing home blasted Democrat presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris (CA) over her health care plan on Monday during a campaign stop at the Bickford Senior Living Center in Muscatine, Iowa.
“Can I ask you a question?” the woman asked Harris. “I understand that you are advocating health care for everyone.”
“Yes, ma’am,” Harris responded.
“Who’s going to pay for it?” the woman asked.
“Well, we’re going to pay for it,” Harris replied. “Because right now, let me tell you something, we’re all paying for health care for everyone–“
“No, we’re not,” the woman responded as she became irritated with Harris. “No, we’re not.”
“Leave our health care system alone,” the woman told Harris. “We don’t want you to mess with it.” [Source: Daily Wire]
This is such a wonderful exchange. And definitely not what Harris was hoping for.
This elderly woman called Harris out over her terrible plans for healthcare. Like all the other 2020 candidates, she is promising to eliminate private health insurance for a government-funded program.
None of them talk about how this will wipe out hundreds of thousands of jobs—the jobs of everyone who is currently working at a health insurance company. But they also trying to skirt around how they’ll pay for it.
Sanders lies by saying the richest “one percent” of Americans will pay for his plan. At least Harris told this woman the truth by saying “we’re going to pay for it.” Meaning, this “free” health insurance will cost all Americans—big time.
Harris tried to dodge this obvious fact by saying “right now… we’re all paying for healthcare for everyone.” Not true. It’s a common lie Democrats throw around. But this elderly lady wasn’t having any of it.
The truth is, today, Americans pay for their own health insurance. You work hard to afford a plan for yourself and your family. It’s not a perfect system, but it’s a damn sight better than what Harris’ wants to do.
Under her plan, you’ll be taxed to pay for the health insurance of everyone in the U.S. Including those who refuse to work and those who are here illegally. Not a great plan, if you ask me.
I agree with this lady when she says, “we don’t want you to mess” with our insurance programs. I think you might too.
