Are an uptick in violence on the Temple Mount, the end of the previous Shmitta year, the final Blood Moon of the most recent tetrad and the redemption of the Jewish people connected? Two Temple Mount observers, one Jewish and one Christian, believe that there are connections to be made.

On the last day of the previous Shmitta year, and just two weeks before the appearance of the latest Blood Moon, Arabs armed with pipe bombs clashed with Israeli police on the Temple Mount. At that time, Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan said that as a result of this incident, Israel would have to reconsider the status quo on the Temple Mount. In an official statement, Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas painted the incident as one of Israeli police aggression against innocent Muslims.

Ever since then, tensions on the Temple Mount continue to violently and rapidly escalate.

Rabbi Yehuda Glick, founder of the Temple Mount Heritage Foundation and internationally known for his work on the Temple Mount, connects the future redemption of the Jewish people with the current clash between Jews and Muslims on the Temple Mount that escalated on the final day of the previous Shmitta year.

He assured Breaking Israel News that the holy site is centrally important to the ultimate redemption of the Jewish people. “By all means,” he said, “there is no doubt about it, that the next step in this wonderful process of redemption of the people of Israel and of the entire world will be via Temple Mount! Here in Israel, the situation is forcing us to deal with this topic, which we have been going out of our way to ignore.”

“Hashem (God) is definitely not letting us get away from confronting the core of the entire issue. I pray daily that this step will go ahead with minimum pain suffering and bloodshed,” he told Breaking Israel News.

However, how do the Blood Moons and the Jubilee fit into explaining today’s Temple Mount conflict?

When the Blood Moon cycles are examined, it becomes clear that each Blood Moon tetrad that fell on Jewish holidays brought the world a step closer to restoration of Jewish sovereignty on the Temple Mount.

The Blood Moon tetrads of 1949-50 occurred when the Land of Israel was restored to the Jewish people. The Blood Moon tetrads of 1967-68 occurred when the holy city of Jerusalem was reunited and returned to the dominion of the Jewish people. Today, in the era of the 2014-15 tetrad, the world’s attention is focused on the Temple Mount. The Blood Moon cycles are creating concentric circles around the Temple Mount, home of the Bible’s Holy Temples.

Pro-Israel Christian Bob O’Dell, co-author of the book “Israel FIRST!” discussed this pattern with Breaking Israel News, explicitly mentioning the Jubilee and God’s promise, found in Leviticus, that land is to be returned to the original owner in the Jubilee year.

“But if he cannot afford enough to repay him, his sale shall remain in the possession of the one who has purchased it, until the Jubilee year. And then, in the Jubilee year, it shall go out and return to his possession.” (Leviticus 25:28)

O’Dell told Breaking Israel News, “In our book, ‘Israel FIRST!’ where we examine the Blood Moons, the Shemitah, and the Jubilee, we see patterns in both the Blood Moons and the Jubilee that could lead to the restoration of Jewish worship on the Temple Mount, but for different reasons. The Blood Moons signal the rebirth of the nation of Israel in successive phases – first the nation, and then the capital. Might the next phase be the Temple Mount?”

“The Jubilee year is about the restoration of property that was sold away by your forefathers. Within a few weeks following the Six Day War in 1967, the control of the Temple Mount was handed back to the Muslims. In Jubilee years, God has repeatedly shown a pattern of restoring lands to the Jewish people. Might it happen again this Jubilee with regard to the Temple Mount?”

What Does God Want Us to See in the August Stock Market Drops?

The recent stock market drops that began on Wednesday August 19th, the 4th of Elul in the Biblical calendar, have shaken many investors. Two main questions that are bringing great fear into the market now are:

1. How much damage will a slowing China have on the world’s overall economy in the months ahead?
2. Is the six-year-long stock market rally in the USA finally over?

Questions like these don’t get answered in one day. While it is extremely tempting to react to something that just happened, waiting a month to put each event into a larger context can certainly make a big difference in understanding.

Here are the drops of the past week:

– 1% drop on Wednesday, August 19

– 2% drop on Thursday, August 20

– 3% drop on Friday, August  21

– 4% drop on Monday, August 24

– 1% drop on Tuesday, August 25

One thing we do know for sure—these drops in the US stock market are not very large, historically speaking. (The best way to judge a drop is its percentage, not the exact number of points any index falls).

Compare that to 1929. When the Great Depression began, the market dropped 12% on Black Monday followed by another 13% on Black Tuesday. Now those drops are what we call impressive—or perhaps better stated, depressive.

Putting aside the numbers, we see a larger picture in play here which aligns very well with a perspective on the seven year cycle, called the Shemitah cycle, that we cover in great detail in our new book, Israel FIRST!

The country that is precipitating these drops thanks to its slowing economy is China. One of the ideas we propose in Israel FIRST! is that Western Civilization in general—and the USA in particular—have overly bought into the idea that the economic world revolves around us. We propose instead that God has a plan to shift the world’s economic perspective away from US and towards an economic model of His own design: the Shemitah calendar that he gave to Israel.

Already in June, we noticed that China was the first country whose markets began falling, not the United States. China’s market downturn began in the last third of the Shemitah year, and its further downturn—now down a full 50% from its highs—occurred in the last month of the Shemitah year, Elul, and is now dragging down world markets with it. Historically, most Shemitah corrections occur in the last half of the Shemitah year, or the first month of the following year, so China fits the pattern.

What does God want us to see here? God’s intention is not to cause us to declare that China is now the world economic leader—it is not—but to see that the world economy is connected to the Shemitah calendar that God designed. For these recent worldwide economic drops to be precipitated from a place outside of the US, even outside of the Western world, is a perfect way for God to begin turning our heads to start searching for a perspective larger than ourselves.

Will the world suddenly recognize the Shemitah as God’s design? Of course not. The Western world has had seventy years since the end of World War Two to entrench itself with the idea that its own economic cycles drive the world’s economy, not a calendar that was given to Israel over 3000 years ago. So any change in perspective will be slow, a multi-year process. But every change in perspective has a beginning.

If this is that beginning, why does it matter? Because the perspective we all ultimately need is one that will turn us towards God. God has a plan to become known, and eventually the whole earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

If it’s a coincidence, it’s an astounding one. An ominous “Blood Moon” appearing at the same time the Obama administration is boasting of a nuclear agreement with Iran that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says endangers the very survival of the Jewish state.

And experts warn that Barack Obama’s actions could herald disastrous consequences not just for Israel, but for the world.

Pastor Mark Biltz, the discoverer of the Blood Moons phenomenon, says current events in the Middle East are “totally tied to these Blood Moons.”

“A number of rabbis have said this, that Obama comes across as a kind of Haman figure. Haman we recall was a Persian official who wanted to kill the Jews living within that empire. Of course, the modern heir of the Persian Empire is Iran, now the Islamic Republic. And we have Iranian generals openly saying that they want to destroy Israel. God is clearly sending us a sign reminding us of these parallels.”

WND reported only this weekend that one Jewish rabbi in Israel is asking for special prayer because of the alignment of the Blood Moon, in the skies early Saturday.

And he issued an ominous warning.

Rabbi Amram Vaknin, described as a “mystic rabbi living in southern Israel,” urged all Jews to pray and repent as the third Blood Moon of a tetrad cycle approaches, according to a report in Breaking Israel News.

Vaknin is not easily dismissed because he reportedly predicted the events of the Gaza flotilla and the Carmel forest fire in 2010, the Operations Pillar of Defense of 2012 and Protective Edge of 2014.

He warns that Israel is facing great judgment and potential danger at this time, according to the report.

The Saturday event was during the Jewish festival of Passover and on the day leading up to Christians’ Resurrection Sunday.

But Biltz, author of “Blood Moons: Decoding the Imminent Heavenly Signs,” points to more amazing correlations.

“Here our 44th president has signed off on a nuclear agreement with Israel’s arch enemy who has declared in no uncertain terms they will destroy Israel. Rabbi Vaknin was recently quoted in Breaking Israel News to the effect that the numeric value of the Hebrew word for blood, dam, which is 44, alludes to the 44th president of the United States, and that he would bring bloodshed (dam) to the Jewish people.”

“But more than that, here, on Passover, when you put blood on the doorpost you have the Hebrew letter Dalet meaning door and is also the number 4 with a blood moon over it on the date of 4/4.”

Biltz believes this is no coincidence. But even those who are not looking skyward foresee great danger of the Jewish state as a result of Obama’s nuclear agreement with Iran.

According to a Tweet from his official spokesperson Mark Regev, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called a nuclear deal with Iran based on the current framework a threat “to the survival of Israel.”

Iranian officials have boasted they will continue their nuclear program and some experts believe the Islamic Republican may already possess nuclear warheads.

Pastor Carl Gallups, author of the end times bestseller “Final Warning: Understanding the Trumpet Days of Revelation,” says Obama has proved himself untrustworthy and Americans should be skeptical about any deal with Iran.

Gallups told WND, “There appears to be a fundamental disagreement between Benjamin Netanyahu and Barack Obama concerning the United States and its negotiations with Iran concerning Iran’s nuclear program. I am inclined to side with Netanyahu on this matter. Obama’s track record on ‘truth telling’ is not that stellar. Does anyone remember, ‘If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor?’

“Obama’s odious, and well documented, history of dealing with Israel and Netanyahu is one of the glaring weaknesses of his administration according to many of his most serious critics. Also, Obama’s obvious proclivities to lean in the direction of all things ‘Islamic’ also has a large number of politicians, pundits, and even mainstream media on edge – especially as he ‘deals’ with radical Islamic regimes in the matters of nuclear weapons proliferation.

“The matter of Israel’s survival is a serious one and a biblical one. This is a matter, in my opinion, that must be dealt with – as Netanyahu put it – by ‘standing firm and increasing the pressure on Iran until a better deal is achieved.’”

Joel Richardson, author of the theological blockbuster “When a Jew Rules The World: What the Bible Really Says About Israel in the Plan of God,” says Barack Obama is not just endangering Israel’s strategic position, but possibly enabling genocide.

“We have reached a tremendously dark and sad moment in the history of the United States. President Obama is acting in a way that compromises not only the general security of Israel, but her actual existence.

“In the final phase of his presidency, Barack Obama is confirming the worst suspicions of his critics. Not only is he is openly working in ways that benefit the Islamist dictatorship of Iran, a regime which is openly calling for the extermination of the Jewish state, but at the same time, he is functioning in an openly hostile and adversarial manner toward Israel, the only shining beacon of democracy and freedom in the Middle East.”

But Richardson says it is not just Israel that is at risk but the United States. Barack Obama, he suggests, has done nothing less than open the nation to the risk of divine judgment.

“More than any other name, the creator of Heaven and Earth, the God of the Bible calls Himself, the God of Israel. Through His prophets, He has repeatedly warned that a tremendous punishment awaits the vessels through which tribulation falls upon the Jewish people. (Isaiah 10:5-12).

“It is the duty of Christians throughout the earth to warn our president that such actions will result in the most severe punishment when Jesus returns. As much as we all love the various images of Jesus the Messiah gently cradling a baby lamb over his shoulders, the Scriptures also speak of the fact that when Jesus returns, ‘He will crush kings on the day of his wrath. He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth’ (Psalm 110:5-6).

“While the global atmosphere of increasing anti-Semitism and anti-Zionist sentiment may be make it quite fashionable and hip to treat little Israel as our president is doing, the fact remains that the day is looming where Barack Obama, along a host of leaders from Muslim nations and the UN will look into the very Jewish eyes of their creator and judge, and He will render to them the righteous punishment for how they have treated His brethren, the Jewish people,” he said.

“As a Bible believing Christian, we are called to pray for our leaders. Today my prayer for President Obama and the majority of our present government leaders is for repentance. At this point, only a genuine and deep repentance will spare them from the wrath of Jesus, who is coming back to restore the Jewish Kingdom, exactly as He promised (Matthew 19:28).”

Biltz also clearly has wrath on his mind. When asked what specifically he expects, Biltz compared the situation to a dust cloud gathering in the distance.

“When you see a dust cloud coming, you don’t know exactly what it is, but you know it is something. I do think a major war is coming to Israel, as other Blood Moons have been involved with those kinds of events. I also believe economic collapse in our own country is a real possibility.”

As they look skyward, Biltz says people need to look inwards as well. “People need to pray and people need to be prepared. A storm is growing for sure.”

Christians are not the only ones looking for meaning in the plethora of signs aligning in the heavens.

A rare alignment of four blood moons and a total solar eclipse unfolding during a Shemitah year and on biblical feast days, has a Jewish rabbi in Israel asking for special prayer.

And issuing an ominous warning.

Rabbi Amram Vaknin, described as a “mystic rabbi living in southern Israel,” is urging all Jews to pray and repent as the third Blood Moon of a tetrad cycle approaches, according to a report in Breaking Israel News.

Vaknin is not easily dismissed because he reportedly predicted the events of the Gaza flotilla and the Carmel forest fire in 2010, the Operations Pillar of Defense of 2012 and Protective Edge of 2014.

He warns that Israel is facing great judgment and potential danger at this time, according to the report.

The rabbi’s concerns have a lot to do with the number 44 and the current U.S. president.

One of Vaknin’s students, Gil Nachman, spoke to Breaking Israel News and, quoting the rabbi, explained that the numeric value of the Hebrew word for blood, dam, which is 44, alludes to the 44th president of the United States.

Vaknin predicted that the 44th president would “bring bloodshed (dam) to the Jewish people.” It should be noted that the rabbi made this prediction before President Barack Obama’s election to office, according to Breaking Israel News.

Vaknin believes that only 44 plus one, or 45, can counter the danger represented by the blood moons. This, he says, is Adam, or Man, which in this case refers to the Messiah.

“Blood Moons” author, Pastor Mark Biltz, said he agrees with Vaknin’s numerology.

“Because when you add the letter aleph to dam you get adam and aleph has a numeric value of one,” Biltz told WND.

Obama-Iran deal ominous for Israel

The next blood moon is set for Saturday night, April 4, on Passover.

“So here, on Passover, when you put blood on the doorpost you have the Hebrew letter Dalet meaning door and is also the number 4 with a blood moon over it on 4/4 which is the 14th of Nisan going into the 15th of Nisan beginning the Feast of Unleavened Bread,” Biltz said.

The concerns about Obama are also valid, in Biltz’s view, especially now that he has made a pact with Iran on the Islamic republic’s future nuclear capability.

“And here our 44th president has signed off on a nuclear agreement with Israel’s arch-enemy who has declared in no uncertain terms they will destroy Israel,” he said.

It’s interesting that in Hebrew the word for Damascus is 444, Biltz said.

“And in Isaiah there is a prophecy that Damascus will cease from being a city which has never happened before in history.”

Rabbi Vaknin called for a day of prayer at the Western Wall April 1 to encourage the arrival of the Messiah and the redemption of the Jewish people and the world.

“In these critical times, Am Israel must join together to pray to Hashem to send us Mashiach Ben David! Men and women, young and old, observant or not — the more people who come, the stronger the tefilla (prayer),” Vaknin announced on his Facebook page.

The repeated number four is also important to the sage.

Along with the value of 44 and the four Blood Moons of the tetrad, this Passover brings the shortest total lunar eclipse of the 21st century, lasting just 4 minutes, 44 seconds.

Strong tradition of blood moon signs in Talmud

Vaknin is not the first Jewish religious teacher to associate the blood moon tetrad with Jewish redemption, according to Breaking Israel News.

“With the first and third Blood Moons in this current tetrad cycle coinciding with Passover, and the second and fourth with the Feast of Tabernacles, the connections to times of redemption run deep,” the site reported.

The Talmud states, “In [the Hebrew month of] Nisan our forefathers were redeemed from Egypt, and in Nisan we will be redeemed.”

Likewise, the Feast of the Tabernacles is associated in Jewish tradition with the battle of Gog and Magog, the final war that is said to precede the final redemption and arrival of the Messiah.”

This year is also a sabbatical, or Shemitah year, a once every seven years cycle in which the land of Israel is commanded to be left fallow and financial ledgers get wiped clean.

Jonathan Cahn, author of the New York Times-bestseller “The Mystery of the Shemitah,” has also issued warnings that a time of judgment is coming to America and the world in the form of possible stock market collapses and wars. But Cahn has stopped short of predicting such events. Rather, Cahn says “we should be aware” and people of Christian faith should be preparing themselves not only physically but spiritually for difficult times ahead. Even if the judgment doesn’t fall during the Shemitah year, Cahn believes it is guaranteed to come at some point if people don’t repent and turn back to God.

‘Voices of war’

From a Jewish perspective, Yahadoot.net notes that the sages in the Talmud included the following warning: “In the sixth [year there will be] voices [of war], in the seventh [there will be] war, and at the end of the shmitta, the [Messiah] son of Jesse will arrive.”

Although the Talmud never states in which seven-year cycle in history this will be fulfilled, the website suggested that thus far our modern period fits the description.

Breaking Israel News said not everyone agrees on the meaning of the rare tetrad of blood moons.

“The Blood Moon phenomenon has attracted much attention of late thanks to the efforts and solar discoveries by Root Source’s Bob O’Dell and Gidon Ariel. Not everyone is in agreement as to what the Blood Moons signify. According to O’Dell, “All the prior blood moon tetrads point to a pattern of blessing on the Jewish people. They are good news for the Jews. They are a great indicator of God’s love and commitment to the Jewish people to preserve them, and a warning to those who stand in opposition to Israel.”

The Talmud discusses the significance of astronomical events in human history, stating that a solar eclipse is a warning to the nations, while a lunar eclipse signifies danger for the Jewish people, who are likened to the moon, according to the website.

“The Sages go on to explain that this is because God sits in judgment at those times, and human actions and choices are being weighed,” the site reports. “It is a time when our mistakes may come back to haunt us.

“Rabbi Vaknin adds his voice to other religious leaders calling on their followers to pray for peace and security in Israel. Christian leaders Mark Biltz and Bob O’Dell have organized a prayer gathering for Christians worldwide to pray during the 4 minutes and 44 seconds of the total lunar eclipse late Friday night.”
