Sleazy Cartoonist Continues To Such

Prayer-boy
Earlier this week, a left-wing cartoonist poked fun at Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s 10-year-old daughter for praying for the woman who has thrown her family into turmoil by accusing her father of sexually assaulting her 36 years ago.
Now another cartoonist, A.F. Branco, has come up with a response.
This one has a little boy kneeling at his bed and praying.
“Dear God,” he says. “Please don’t let the Democrats destroy my life with false accusations and sleazy politics like they did to Judge Kavanaugh.”
He explained, holding back tears, that Liza had wanted the family to pray for the “woman,” referring to Ford.
An editorial cartoon had a little girl praying at her bedside.
“Dear God, forgive my angry, lying, alcoholic father for sexually assaulting Dr. Ford,” said the caption.
Samaritan’s Purse CEO Franklin Graham reacted, saying the “God-haters” jumped even on that comment to try to destroy Kavanaugh.
“When Brett Kavanaugh’s daughter Liza said she was going to pray for Mrs. Ford, that warmed my heart, and I’m sure it touched millions of others as well,” Graham wrote.
“It’s obvious that this little girl has been brought up right.
“But wouldn’t you know that the God-haters would use this girl’s prayers to mock her, her faith, and her father.
“I believe in the power of prayer. I would encourage everyone to continue to pray for this confirmation. Our nation is in trouble – and the battle for the Supreme Court is being fought in full view of all Americans. Pray that God’s will be done,” he wrote.

Talk radio host Rush Limbaugh also blasted the cartoonist, pointing out it was the same person who had mocked him shortly after the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995.
Back then, a cartoon showed a fireman carrying a dead baby from the blast area saying, “Damn right-wing radio.”
Limbaugh recalled the cartoon appeared after President Clinton said that “angry voices on the right” were speaking out against him.nd Out More >
“There was only one voice on the right. In 1995, I was it. There were some local talk shows, but CNN’s the only cable out there. There’s no Fox News. There’s no blogosphere. There’s no alternative media. There aren’t really any conservative websites,” he said.
“Everything’s starting to blossom at that point, but this program nationally was still it four years after our founding. Clinton had blamed ‘angry voices on the right’ for Timothy McVeigh blowing up the building in Oklahoma City, the federal building. Of course, I was livid. I was not gonna accept that. We challenged the White House on it, and they issued a ‘correction,’ claiming, ‘No, we were talking about the Michigan militia short-wave radio,'” Limbaugh said.
He returned to Kavanaugh’s retelling of his daughter’s prayer.
“Judge Kavanaugh was starting to break down and tear up at that point, talking about the wisdom of his 10-year-old daughter,” Limbaugh said. “The same cartoonist is back in some publication, the Illinois something, Illinois journal or some such thing. The cartoon has now gone viral all over the web and on Twitter and some parts Facebook they love it.
“It’s the same cartoonist, 1995 to today. It’s just vile. It’s filthy. It’s dirty. It’s disgusting. It’s despicable. And it’s sick,” he said.
“Not a single element of that speech bubble has been established as anywhere near true, and it’s just… It flies in the face of decency. You know, you run out of descriptive adjectives when trying to describe this kind of thing.”
The cartoonist is Chris Britt.
Fox News was unable to get comment from Britt, and a snarky comment Britt left on Facebook about “Brett ‘I LOVE BEER’ Kavanaugh” was removed shortly later.

Freedom Of Speech Obviously Not A Right In England

Franklin Graham, son of legendary evangelist Billy Graham, won’t be allowed entry into the United Kingdom for an event next year if several UK government officials have their way. They accuse Graham of speech crimes that would be covered by the First Amendment in the United States.

What’s going on?

According to the Asheville Citizen Times, several government officials have asked the UK home secretary, Amber Rudd, to consider refusing Graham entry into the country next year when he is slated to be a featured speaker at a September festival. Ironically, the event is being organized by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association U.K., of which Graham is the president and CEO.
The officials have accused Graham of “hate speech,” citing his rhetoric against Islam, Muslims and the LGBT community. As the Guardian noted, Graham has said Islam is“an evil and very wicked religion.”
Graham’s critics even began a Change.org petition calling for the evangelist to be barred entry into the U.K. for the event. So far, the petition has 7,300 signatures.

What do Graham’s critics say?

The Change.org petition reads in part:
Unlike his father, Billy Graham, Franklin Graham engages in outspoken bigotry targeting refugees, Muslims and LGBT people. His father promoted unity and respect in communities but Franklin Graham’s extreme views promote prejudice and division.
Speech likely to promote prejudice and hatred is grounds for the government to refuse a visa. Help us stop this man getting a visa to come here to spread his hatred.
Meanwhile, Afzal Khan, a British member of parliament, told the Guardian that Graham’s “views are not welcome.”
Gordon Marsden, another MP, told the BBC: “I think frankly the evidence is piling up that his visit to the UK…would not be a good thing and not probably in my view a very Christian thing.” He added that Graham views are “incompatible with what Jesus said in the Bible.”
An official for the town where the event is scheduled to take place said recently about Graham: “If matters are brought to our attention that could constitute incitement to hatred, we will forward these to the relevant public authorities and should this be proved we will not hesitate to terminate this booking.”

How did Graham at the BGEA respond?

The BGEA told the Guardian the event in question is partnering with local churches to spread the Gospel.
“It will be a positive and encouraging event with music and also a message from Franklin Graham about the hope that can be found through a relationship with Jesus Christ. It will be free and everyone is invited to attend,” the group said.

Vetting Must Prevent Those Who Will Not Accept Our Way Of Life

Rev. Graham on Trump's Immigration Order: No Entry If You Reject U.S. Principles -- 'Sharia Law Is Not Compatible'

By Michael W. Chapman | January 31, 2017 | 12:37 PM EST

Rev. Franklin Graham. (BGEA)
Commenting on criticism from liberals and many Democrats about President Donald J. Trump's executive order on immigration to better screen for terrorists, evangelical leader Franklin Graham said people coming to the United States must accept our "principles of freedom, democracy, and liberty," or they should not come here. He also stressed that Islamic Sharia law "is not compatible" with American beliefs or culture.
In a Feb. 1 post on Facebook, Rev. Graham said, "I think that a thorough vetting process really needs to apply to people coming into the U.S. from all countries—not just 7. We have to be sure that the philosophies of those entering our country are compatible with our Constitution."
"If a person does not agree with our principles of freedom, democracy, and liberty, which we cherish, they should not be allowed to come," he said. "Without question, Sharia law is not compatible."
Sharia is the Islamic law -- rules and practices -- that faithful Muslims are required to follow in their daily lives.
"There have been a lot of protests and discussion about President Donald J. Trump’s executive action on immigration," said Rev. Graham in his post.  "Some people seem to have forgotten that the priority of the president of the United States is protecting the Constitution and the safety of Americans. That’s exactly what President Trump is trying to do."

"Taking action to secure our borders had to start somewhere," he said.  "Is it perfect? Maybe not, but it is a first step. As they work on solutions during this 90-day travel ban, unfortunately there are some innocent families caught in this time of transition."
As for some Christians who are critical of Trump's order, Rev. Graham said he believes the best way to help the suffering is to provide relief and ongoing assistance "in their own countries." and if that is not possible, then to help them in safe zones near their homeland.
"Some are also criticizing Christians who support the president’s position on immigration—and I’m one of those being criticized," said Rev. Graham. "But we have to realize that the president’s job is not the same as the job of the church."
"As Christians we are clearly taught in the Bible to care for the poor and oppressed," he said.  "At Samaritan's Purse we have been working in the Middle East for over 30 years. We’ve provided things like food, heaters, blankets, coats, shelter plastic, and more for tens of thousands of refugees there and in other places around the world. We just opened a 55-bed field trauma hospital in northern Iraq where we’re treating Muslims who are being wounded by other Muslims in the fight over Mosul."
"As Christians we are commanded to help all, regardless of religious background or ethnicity, like the Good Samaritan Jesus shared about in the Bible," said Graham.  "Our job is to show God’s love and compassion. I believe the best way to help is to reach out and help these people in their own countries."
"I support the establishment of safe zones inside Syria and Iraq that would be protected by the international community until a political solution is found," he said. "We need to pray for political solutions that would bring peace and allow them to return to their homes as they desire."

Trump Is A Friend Of Jews And His Religious Leaders Prove it

Five of Trump’s Six Inaugural Faith Leaders Have Strong Ties to Judaism and Israel

“Behold, I have given him for a witness to the peoples, a prince and commander to the peoples.” Isaiah 55:4 (The Israel Bible™)
Donald Trump’s inauguration on Friday will not only be a momentous occasion, it will also be visibly religious, with six members of the clergy ushering in the new president. Underlying it all will be an unprecedented presidential connection to Israel and Judaism.
Trump’s campaign was strongly connected to Judaism, with his Jewish daughter and son-in-law, Jared and Ivanka Kushner, constantly by his side. His inauguration will be even more so. Rabbi Marvin Hier, the dean and founder of the Simon Wiesenthal Center and its Museum of Tolerance, is slated to give a benediction after Trump’s inaugural address. It will be the first time since Ronald Reagan’s second term in office in 1985 that a rabbi has offered a prayer at a presidential inauguration.
Though Rabbi Hier is a long-time friend of Jared Kushner’s parents, Trump’s choice in rabbi’s is also an indirect jab at the man he is replacing in the Oval Office. In its list of the top ten anti-Semitic/anti-Israel incidents of 2016 released two weeks ago, Rabbi Hier’s organization posted President Barack Obama’s decision not to veto the United Nations Security Council resolution 2334 as number one.
But the Jewish connection doesn’t end there. Of the six faith leaders present at the inauguration, five of them have strong ties to Judaism or Israel. Bishop Wayne Jackson of Great Faith Ministries International, who will give a benediction at the ceremony, made headlines last September when he draped a tallit (Jewish prayer shawl) over Trump’s shoulders during a campaign visit to Bishop Jackson’s Detroit church.
In addition to prayer shawls, Jackson’s ministry has adopted many Jewish customs as part of their worship, including observing the Jewish holidays and Sabbath on Saturday. Bishop Jackson is reported to have a personal Torah scroll in his home.
Also participating is evangelist Paula White-Cain. White-Cain, who is close to Trump, is reported to fast on Yom Kippur and perform other Jewish rituals, though she has encountered some criticism for perceived misappropriation of those rituals. When she had herself wrapped in a Torah scroll during a ceremony, many Jewish groups spoke out in protest.
Trump will also receive blessings from major evangelical figures Rev. Franklin Graham and Rev. Dr. Samuel Rodriguez. Rev. Graham, of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, is an outspoken and strong supporter of Israel. He criticized Obama’s failure to veto the anti-Israel UN resolution, saying, “Israel is America’s closest ally in the Middle East and the only true democracy in that region of the world… For the U.S. not to stand with Israel is shameful.”
Rev. Rodriguez is another strong pro-Israel figure. He serves on the board of directors for the National Association of Evangelicals and the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, the world’s largest Hispanic Christian organization. In 2015, Rev. Rodriguez’s organization launched launched an initiative called the Hispanic Israel Leadership Coalition (HILC) to support Israel.
The current Archbishop of New York, His Eminence Timothy Michael Cardinal Dolan, will also speak at the inauguration.
Trump’s clergy-laden inauguration will contrast markedly with President Obama’s second inauguration in 2013, when Myrlie Evers-Williams became the first non-clerical figure to deliver an inaugural prayer.

Military Is Getting More And More Politically Correct

Franklin Graham: 'Sickening' Fort Riley Canceled Prayer Breakfast

Franklin Graham took to his Facebook page to condemn as "sickening" Fort Riley's decision to postpone a prayer breakfast that would have featured retired Lt. General William "Jerry" Boykin, an original member of Delta Force.

Boykin, an executive with the Family Research Council, accepted an invitation to deliver remarks at the June 6 prayer breakfast back in March. But earlier this week, the Military Religious Freedom Foundation filed a protest with the military base in Kansas, calling Boykin "homophobic, Islamaphobic, fundamental Christian extremist," Fox News reports.
Within 24 hours, Fort Riley said the prayer breakfast would be rescheduled without Boykin.

"That's just sickening," Graham posted on Facebook. "It is unbelievable that our country has fallen to this point and that Christianity is the only thing it's okay to be intolerant of and discriminate against. Excuse me, General Boykin's first amendment rights still exist, and so do those of everyone who wants to hear him speak."

MRFF founder Mikey Weinstein told the Army Times that his group fielded 131 complaints against Boykin, saying "I have clients of ours weeping on the phone about this."

"I sincerely doubt that America can expect to win wars if the people who are tasked to do so are frightened by an old retired general with biblical views and a testimony of faith," Boykin told Fox News.
