Trump Promotes Strong Military! Obama Cut The Military And Declared The Now Defeated ISIS--The JV Team

Trump Delivers What May Be the Best Line of His Presidency at Naval Graduation

 Print
There were plenty of epic moments Friday as President Donald Trump gave the commencement speech at the graduation ceremony for the United States Naval Academy.
For instance, he shook the hands of every one of the over 1,100 graduates. That was pretty epic.
Or there was Trump confirming “that we are committing even more to our defenses, and we are committing even more to our veterans. Because we know that the best way to prevent war is to be fully prepared for war. And hopefully, we never have to use all of this beautiful, new, powerful equipment. But you know, you are less likely to have to use it if you have it and know how to work it.”
But it wasn’t the most epic line of the commencement speech. Oh, no. In fact, there was a line that got plenty of us here at office thinking it may just be the best line of his presidency.
It came as the president was giving a paean to the class of 2018, telling them that they “are still not tired of winning.”
“You chase discovery, and you never flinch in the eye of a raging storm. America is in your heart. The ocean is in your soul,” Trump said. “The saltwater runs through your veins. You live your life according to the final law of the Navy. The word impossible does not exist, because Navy never quits.

Do you think Donald Trump has made America's military great again?

“You don’t give up. You don’t give in. You don’t back down. And you never surrender. Wherever you go, wherever you serve, wherever your mission takes you, you only have one word in mind, and that’s victory.
“That is why you are here. Victory. A very important word. You are now leaders in the most powerful and righteous force on the face of the planet. The United States military. And we are respected again, I can tell you that. We are respected again.”
Now, let me ask you a question I’ve asked so many times during the Trump administration: Could you imagine those words ever escaping the lips of Barack Obama?
During his eight years in office, Obama almost seemed to apologize for our military power.
He did it through hasty withdrawals in Iraq and Afghanistan, where the Islamic State groupand Taliban were allowed to grow and metastasize. When he did fight them, it was using limited engagement tactics that handcuffed our pilots.
He left our military in such disrepair that one of our most legendary units, the “Screaming Eagles” of the 101st Airborne, was more or less decimated by budget cuts.
He declined to put military pressure on North Korea, preferring “strategic patience.”

Would he have ever said our military was “the most powerful and righteous force on the face of the planet?” Of course not.
Things have changed a lot over the past few years. This is one instance where we can say it’s definitely changed for the better — where we finally have a commander in chief willing to say those wonderful words. That alone could make it the best line of his presidency.

Obama Is Purposely Misleading Americans On ISIS

CONFIRMED: SCRUBBING OF ISIS INTELLIGENCE REPORTS FOR POLITICAL REASONS DONE AT SENIOR LEVELS

A special congressional joint task force has officially confirmed what has been suspected for months: The Obama administration through U.S Central Command scrubbed intelligence reports showing the rise of ISIS as a critical threat to the United States and the world. The reports were altered for political purposes to present a rosier, less threatening picture of the terror army to the American people. In other words, the administration wanted to prove ISIS was a “jayvee” team as President Obama claimed in September 2014.
According to a report released Tuesday by the task force, the scrubbing and changing of reports was done at senior levels, not by low level intelligence analysts.
“After months of investigation, this much is very clear: from the middle of 2014 to the middle of 2015, U.S. Central Command’s most senior intelligence leaders manipulated the command’s intelligence products to downplay the threat from ISIS in Iraq.  The result:  consumers of those intelligence products were provided a consistently ‘rosy’ view of U.S. operational success against ISIS.  That may well have resulted in putting American troops at risk as policymakers relied on this intelligence when formulating policy and allocating resources for the fight,” Congressman Mike Pompeo, who served on the joint task force which investigated the matter, said in a statement Thursday. “The cultural breakdown in Central Command’s intelligence process resulted from an administration-wide understanding that bad news from Iraq and Syria was not welcomed.  Claims that ISIS was the ‘JV team’ and that al-Qaeda was ‘on the run’ were both a result—and a cause—of the politicization of intelligence at CENTCOM.  This intelligence manipulation provided space for both ISIS and al-Qaeda to grow and it put America at risk.”
“Intelligence products always contain some level of uncertainty.  But during this period, nearly every error was in one direction:  downplaying the threat from radical Islamic terror consistent with the administration’s narrative that this threat was not significant.  I urge the Department of Defense Inspector General to hold accountable the intelligence leaders that failed our service members fighting our wars on the ground,” he continued.
The report also shows a significant number intelligence analysts describing the leadership environment at Central Command as “toxic.”
“The  leadership  environment  within  CENTCOM  and  its  Intelligence  Directorate deteriorated  significantly  following  the 2013 departure  of Marine General James Mattis  and  his senior  intelligence  leaders. Survey  results  provided  to  the  Joint  Task  Force demonstrated  that dozens of analysts viewed the subsequent leadership environment as toxic, with 40% of analysts responding  that  they had  experienced  an  attempt  to  distort  or  suppress  intelligence  in  the  past year,” the report states. “Analysts indicated that CENTOM Intelligence Directorate leadership  consistently “softened” intelligence  assessments to provide more uncertainty regarding possible outcomes. Analysts described the leadership as risk – averse and unwilling to accept uncertainty in intelligence analysis — which by its very nature deals in probabilities and contingencies rather than certainties. Survey results  also indicated that multiple  analysts felt that assessments were frequently edited to more positively reflect the situation on the ground.”
The special task force issued a series of recommendations in the report, including restructuring the intelligence review process to prevent editing or altering of intelligence reports.

Come On Fools, Obama DOES WANT ISIS TO WIN. There Is NO Doubt

For some, it’s looking like Obama wants ISIS to win

A series of new reports about the Obama administration’s rolling ignorance and willful inaction in dealing with a burgeoning Islamic terror threat throughout the world are raising serious questions about the current administration’s true intentions.
A series of new reports about the Obama administration’s rolling ignorance and willful inaction in dealing with a burgeoning Islamic terror threat throughout the world are raising serious questions about the current administration’s true intentions.
Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, who formerly served as head of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) under President Obama, recently suggested on Fox News that the White House has allowed ISIS to gain power in the Middle East by ignoring intelligence information.
“Nobody can sit here today, particularly given the amount of intelligence the White House got and say ‘We didn’t know this was a problem.’ Give me a break,” he said on “Kelly File.”
Flynn said that the intelligence Obama received while he headed DIA between 2011 and 2014 very clearly outlined the ways in which the Islamic terror threat was expanding.
“Where intelligence starts and stops is at the White House,” he said. “The president sets the priorities.
“The accuracy and the warnings that have been provided on the rise of radical Islamists … have been very, very clear.”
In other words, Obama was telling a huge lie when he insisted that ISIS was a “jayvee” threat last year or he wears earplugs during his daily intelligence briefings.
It’s probably a mixture of both.
Last week, former CBS News reporter Sharyl Attkisson made the shocking claim that she’s spoken to people close to the Obama administration who say the president completely disregards intelligence reports about certain terror organizations with which he sympathizes.
Attkisson said that people who have “worked in the Obama administration … firmly believe he … has closed his mind” to new information about terrorists “that he does not consider terrorists.”
“He does not … listen to the people with whom he disagrees,” she said. “He seems to dig in … because he thinks he’s right.”
This all comes as the Pentagon reviews whether intelligence analysts on the ground were urged to make ISIS appear less threatening in reports used to determine how the U.S. would move forward in dealing with the group’s emergence on the world stage.
That’s pretty convenient for Obama.
The New York Times reported: “President Obama and senior intelligence officials have acknowledged that the Islamic State’s rapid emergence caught them by surprise. At the least, the prospect that senior officials intentionally skewed intelligence conclusions has raised questions about how much Mr. Obama, Congress and the public can believe the military’s assessments.”
The president said that he has ordered military officials to “get to the bottom” of the scandal and assured reporters that he demands accurate intelligence.
“I have made it repeatedly clear to all my top national security advisers that I never want them to hold back, even if the intelligence or their opinions about the intelligence, their analysis or interpretations of the data contradict current policy,” he said. “If there are disagreements in terms of how folks are interpreting the facts, then that should be reflected in the reports that we receive. … And that’s part of what I weigh in terms of making decisions.”
That’s funny. Even if he was given rose-shaded national security information rather than willfully ignoring reports of ISIS’s rise, couldn’t he have just read the news to know something seriously bad has been unfolding in the Middle East? That’s where he seems to have discovered all the other ways his administration has failed.
In coming weeks, expect to hear a lot about how Obama was misinformed about “moderate” rebels in Syria and elsewhere in the Middle East — those same rebels every sane observer outside the Beltway has long recognized as extremists without intelligence information. Expect Obama to blame someone else for his belief that ISIS was “contained” the day before the Paris terror attacks. And expect ISIS to continue expanding, while Obama passes the buck.

Obama Seems To Have Encouraged ISIS--They Are Near Taking Baghdad And Other Cities. White House Proves THEY Are The JV Team!

Islamic State militants are reportedly within a mile of Baghdad despite battling Iraqi forces and U.S.-led airstrikes, and there is "immense fear among everybody," the vicar of the only Anglican church in Iraq said Tuesday.

"We are at a crisis point," Canon Andrew White, vicar of St George's Church in Baghdad, told Sky News. "People know ISIS are coming nearer."

The Islamic State is also known as ISIS.

White's work is supported by the Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East, which said late Monday in a Facebook posting: "The Islamic State are now less than 2km away from entering Baghdad."

"They said it could never happen, and now it almost has. Obama says he overestimated what the Iraqi army could do," the posting said, referring to President Barack Obama.
"Well, you only need to be here a very short while to know they can do very very little," the posting said.

He told Sky News that the U.S.-led airstrikes against ISIS are doing little more than killing civilians.

"People are being killed by the attacks of the coalition," he said.

"This is horrendous," he said about the Islamic State's advance into Iraq's capital city. "We have civilians being killed, yet [the Islamic State] are moving toward Baghdad."

Renewed fighting has also occurred in such central Iraqi cities as Baquba and Ramadi, Sky News reports, as ISIS fighters appear to have advanced within 3 miles of Kobani, a critical border town in Syria, despite the airstrikes.

The reports come as the White House remains in damage-control mode after Obama toldCBS' "60 Minutes" on Sunday that U.S. intelligence officials had underestimated the ISIS threat.

The suggestion angered congressional Republicans, leading Mike Rogers, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, to charge that "this was not an intelligence community failure, but a failure by policymakers to confront the threat."

Obama had said:

"Our head of the intelligence community, Jim Clapper, has acknowledged that I think they underestimated what had been taking place in Syria." He was referring to James Clapper, director of national intelligence.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest sought to clarify Obama's remarks, noting that he was not blaming anyone as the U.S. sought global cooperation in the airstrikes that seek to weaken ISIS strongholds in Syria and Iraq.

"That is not what the president's intent was," Earnest said Tuesday. "What the president was trying to make clear" was "how difficult it is to predict the will of security forces that are based in another country to fight."

In his Sky News interview, White said of Baghdad: "I've never known the city like it is at the moment."

"Streets which are usually choc-a-bloc with traffic, cars and people are almost empty. People are too fearful to even leave their homes."

He said that his church most likely would be "very high up" on the Islamic State's target list and that "I must be at the top of the list."

White told Sky News that one Iraqi soldier told him that if he was confronted by ISIS he would "take off his uniform and run," and that he was in the army "because he needs the money."

"This, sadly, is the kind of attitude of so many of these forces who should be coming to our aid and help," he said.

According to The Daily Mail, airstrikes over the weekend appeared to have halted ISIS militants' advance at Ameriyat al-Falluja, a small city about 18 miles south of Fallujah and 40 miles west of Baghdad.

But most of the fighters were undaunted — and many are making their way to the suburbs of Baghdad, the Daily Mail reports.

In a Facebook posting earlier Monday, White said: "Over 1,000 Iraqi troops were killed by ISIS yesterday, things are so bad."

"All the military airstrikes are doing nothing," he added. "If ever we needed your prayers, it is now."

ISIS Is NOT The JV Team, Obama Is!

  • Text smaller
  • Text bigger
Nine months ago, Barack Obama gave an interview to David Remnick of The New Yorker after ISIS, the very accomplished and high-achieving Islamic killing machine in the Middle East, captured Fallujah, an Iraqi city for which many very good American soldiers had sacrificed their lives and limbs taking from Sunni jihadists in 2004.
Remnick asked Obama about al-Qaida’s resurgence in Iraq. Obama responded by suggesting to Remnick that he had, pretty much, personally killed Osama bin Laden three years earlier and, pretty much, singlehandedly “decimated” al-Qaida.
Remnick pointed out to Obama that since he had ordered U.S. military forces to leave Iraq the al-Qaida flag was now flying over Fallujah. ISIS, regarded as an al-Qaida affiliate in Iraq, had since taken over the city.
As a sidebar, it’s worth pointing out that Obama often misuses the word “decimate” as a synonym for “destroy.” It is not. It specifically means taking a tenth or killing a tenth of an enemy as an example to others. He also sometimes uses the word “destroy” interchangeably with words like “degrade” that has a very different meaning, as he did when he used them both about the sudden discovery of his new ISIS strategy Sept. 3, suggesting he would both “destroy and degrade” ISIS – then later saying this planned destruction and degrading of ISIS would render the group a “manageable problem.” “Destroy” means demolish, annihilate. “Degrade,” in military terms, means to reduce the war-fighting capacity of an enemy. These are rookie linguistic mistakes that make for bad “strategies” that can easily be misinterpreted by those who must carry out orders pronounced inarticulately and without specificity.
It was at this point in the interview, Obama infamously provided Remnick with the following woefully inarticulate sports analogy: “Yes, but, David, I think the analogy we use around here sometimes, and I think is accurate, is if a JV team puts on a Lakers uniforms, that doesn’t make them Kobe Bryant. I think there is a distinction between the capacity and reach of a bin Laden and a network that is actively planning major terrorist plots against the homeland versus jihadists who are engaged in various local power struggles and disputes, often sectarian.”
Nine months later, ISIS is perceived by U.S. intelligence, senior military officers and most conscious observers not as a nuisance, not as a localized, inexperienced rogue group, but as a grave threat to the balance of power and stability of the entire Middle East and a strategic threat to the security of the U.S. and the world.
Flash forward to a Sept. 7 interview Obama gave to Chuck Todd of NBC’s “Meet the Press.” Obama was asked if that JV remark was the result of “bad intelligence or your misjudgment.”
“Keep – keep – keep in mind I wasn’t specifically referring to ISIL,” he stuttered. “I’ve said that, regionally, there were a whole series of organizations that were focused primarily locally. Weren’t focused on homeland, because I think a lot of us, when we think about terrorism, the model is Osama bin Laden and 9/11. And the point that I was …”
Todd: “You don’t believe these people …”
Obama: “Not yet. But they – they can evolve. And I was very specific at that time. What I said was, not every regional terrorist organization is automatically a threat to us that would call for a major offensive. Our goal should not be to think that we can occupy every country where there’s a terrorist organization.”
He went on to suggest he “wasn’t specifically referring” to ISIS in the previous interview with The New Yorker. But he clearly was. It was ISIS that captured Fallujah. Everyone knew that. The transcript of that original interview shows Remnick even mentioned ISIS.
One must wonder at this point whether Obama and his team can ever just simply admit a mistake. Are they capable of simply saying they misjudged a situation or underestimated a threat? Why does Obama feel compelled to revise what he actually said previously when the record is crystal clear? Why does he feel it necessary to feign infallibility? And why does he seem to believe he can get away with it – even in the big-league spotlight of the presidency?
I think I know the answer.
Junior varsity sports teams are those where younger athletes have an opportunity to hone their skills and earn a chance to play on the varsity team someday.
Michael Jordan famously cried as a sophomore at Laney High School in Wilmington, North Carolina, when he didn’t make the varsity basketball team. He would go on to revolutionize the game as an NBA superstar.
It seems that experience may have propelled Jordan to work harder, to distinguish himself as a player. It’s the reason we have JV teams, Little League, minor league teams in professional sports, junior high schools leading to high schools, professional internships and other institutions that prepare young men and women for greater achievement through actual experience.
Most young athletes must play on JV teams before they make the varsity. Most people must pay their dues through a process of preparation before they are elevated to positions of real achievement and responsibility in life. Obama is something of an exception to this rule.
He never ran a business.
He never held an executive position in government before being elevated to the presidency.
He never served in the military.
He had no foreign policy experience, save for four years as a U.S. senator.
He was simply a politician in the right place at the right time facing the wrong competition.
In fact, the biggest thing he ever directed before moving to the White House was his 2008 campaign. He was qualified for that position because he has been “campaigning” throughout his life. He played on the JV teams of campaigning with ACORN and running for legislative offices in Illinois. That was his preparation for becoming president – sadly his only preparation.
And that’s why Barack Obama’s administration is the real JV team – even after nearly six years in power.
Let us hope and pray on this Sept. 11, 2014, America never again makes a mistake as it did in 2008 and 2012 by rewarding the office of the presidency to someone who is so far, far over his or her head for the challenges he or she will inevitably face.
