How Can You Negotiate With Someone Who Does NOT Want Peace, At Any Cost?

Palestinian Jihad(2)
The Palestinian Authority and its allies long have insisted that the conflict in the Middle East boils down to a dispute over land.
If Israel would be willing to give up certain land and accept particular demands, peace could be achieved at last.
But a top adviser to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has made it clear that Islam and its objective to establish the rule of Shariah, not only in the region but over the entire world, is at the heart of the matter.
Mahmoud Al-Habbash, regarded at the PA’s most important religious figure, said the conflict between Palestinians and Israelis is not a political conflict but a “battle” between Islam and “the culture of Satan.”
Robert Spencer, the author of the newly published “The History of Jihad From Muhammad to ISIS,” writes on his Jihad Watch blog that history shows the “enemies of Islam” are non-Muslims “who refuse to accept the hegemony of Sharia and the second-class status that acceptance would entail for them.”
The Quran teaches in 9:29, points out Spencer, that non-Muslims must be warred against and subjugated.
“Those who think that the Israeli/”Palestinian” conflict will be solved through negotiations should heed the words of Mahmoud Al-Habbash,” Spencer said. “But they won’t.”
Palestinian Media Watch, which provided a translation of Habbash’s statement on video, said the cleric “continues to tell Palestinians that the conflict with Israel is an uncompromising religious war for Islam against Israel and Jews.”
Appointed by Abbas as his personal adviser on Islam and the PA’s supreme Shariah judge, Habbash spoke of “the battle of history between Islam and the enemies of Islam.”
Israelis and Jews are the “enemies of Islam,” “enemies of Muslims,” have a “culture of Satan” and represent “evil,” he said.
Moreover, he said the current battle is not just another battle on behalf of Islam but the ultimate battle described in the Quran as the “final promise,” leading to the destruction of the “children of Israel.”
PMW pointed out Habbash is preaching to a religious Palestinian population, with polls consistently finding that 95 percent of Palestinians say religion is “important” for them.
“Jerusalem is the arena of conflict between us and the colonialist project (Israel),” the cleric said.
“Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque apparently is the heading for the eruption of the conflict and the battle of history between Islam and the enemies of Islam; between the Muslims and the enemies of Muslims; between the Islamic culture in all its splendor and human glory and the culture of Satan attempting to establish oppression and aggression at the expense of the culture of truth and goodness,” Habbash said.
He asserted the mosque is “decreed to be the arena of the battle between good and evil.”
“This mosque and this wonderful city – the city of history, religion and culture, Jerusalem – are decreed to be the heading of the conflict,” he said.
He said he and man others see Jerusalem “as the first step, as the spark of the battle of the ‘final promise.'”
PMW noted that the “final promise” is mentioned in the Quran in Sura 17 where Allah addresses the Jews as “the children of Israel.”
Some interpret the “final promise” as a battle that took place in the past. But Habbash said he and others see it as a future conflict in which Jews experience “[total] destruction.”
The battle with Israel today over Jerusalem, the cleric said, is “the spark of the battle,” meaning, the beginning of the war of destruction.”

US Embassy Move Actually An Opportunity For Palestinians, If They Only Were Smart Enough To Recognize It

Deputy Minister Michael Oren: Trump Announcement Is Opportunity for Peace

“Therefore swear to me here by Hashem that you will not deal falsely with me or with my kith and kin, but will deal with me and with the land in which you have sojourned as loyally as I have dealt with you.” Genesis 21:23 (The Israel Bible™)
Although the Palestinians and Arab states may see US President Donald Trump’s announcement of the Embassy move as an affront, it should instead be viewed as an opportunity to renew peace talks, argued Israeli Deputy Minister Michael Oren on Thursday.
“This is a momentous day for the people in the State of Israel. We have waited for 2,000 years as a people for the day we’d have an independent Jewish state with a capital recognized by strongest democracy and military power, the US,” said Oren, speaking at a press conference in Jerusalem.

Deputy Minister Michael Oren (Michio Nagata)
So too, he maintained, should it be a momentous day for the Palestinians, who are being given a reason to renew peace talks with the Israelis.
“If I were [Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud] Abbas, I would seize this opportunity,” he said.
“Trump just made a gesture to Israel, but instead of burning his picture, Abbas could say to Trump, “Ok, now what are you going to do for us?’”
He referred to furious Palestinians who, in response to Trump’s announcement on Wednesday night, burned photos and effigies of the president in protest.
Oren stated, “Here we have a mediator who stands by his word, makes a public pledge and fulfills it, and who has now gained credibility and leverage over both sides in negotiations.”
He further maintained that the Palestinians should take advantage of Trump’s proven commitment to following through with promises, unlike former President Barack Obama, who, though pro-Palestinian, was not well received by the Palestinians because he remained uncommitted to his word.

Oren was at the latest negotiations between the Palestinians and Israelis eight years ago, where he said the Palestinians “left the table after just six hours of negotiation.”
“When a party leaves the negotiation table, there’s a price for that,” he explained. “The Palestinians have left the table repeatedly. And [the announcement for the embassy move] comes in the context for leaving the table, justifiably so.”
In negotiations, the Israeli side will also be asked to commit to difficult things, warned Oren, who recommended that Israel remains “prudent about where we build” in the coming months in order to show Trump that “we are serious about renewing the peace process,” showing restraint by only building in areas that will always be part of the State of Israel in a final accord.
There is no sign as of yet that the Palestinians or Arab states see Trump’s declaration as an opportunity or are serious about renewing the peace process. In fact, Palestinian leadership has called for a day of rage in reaction to the announcement, and rioting is already underway in Gaza, Judea and Samaria, and East Jerusalem.
“It is cause for some optimism that they haven’t called for a third intifada or war,” said Oren, who said he sees “many indications that the peace process may be renewed.”
“Israel is celebrating left, right, up and down,” said Oren, who, though hopeful, said he had low expectations that others would “share in our joy.”

This Is How Much Iran Wants Peace--Watch The Video!

Iranian TV Airs Simulated Attack on Israel & U.S. (Video)

Imagine turning on your television and watching the destruction of Israel live on your screen. On Friday, Iranian state TV ran a featured hypothetical documentary that dramatized the bombing of Tel Aviv, Haifa, the Dimona nuclear reactor, and Ben Gurion Airport by Iranian missiles and drones. The documentary served as a warning for any possible American or Israeli strikes on the Islamic Republic.
Entitled “The Nightmare of Vultures,” the documentary uses dramatic music to highlight Iranian rhetoric and threats to wipe Israel off the map. The program simulated attacks on the USS Abraham Lincoln as well as American military targets located in the Persian Gulf. In Israel, strikes against Tel Aviv’s Kikar Hamedina square, the Azrieli Tower skyscrapers, Haifa’s Technion, and the IDF’s Kiriya central command compound are among some of the many targets depicted as being destroyed.
The film opens with a speech from Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khemenei addressing military cadets in 2011, warning the world against the might of Iran.“Anybody who thinks of attacking the Islamic Republic of Iran should be prepared to receive strong slaps and iron fists from the Armed Forces,” Khamenei said. “And America, its regional puppets and its guard dog – the Zionist regime – should know that the response of the Iranian nation to any kind of aggression, attacks or even threats will be a response that will make them collapse from within.”
As air raid sirens wail in the background, Israeli emergency responders are shown in a state of chaos as Iranian missiles rain down on unsuspecting civilians. After attacking Israel, the film shifts to anti-American rhetoric and images of U.S. leaders. An attack on the American aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln sailing in the Strait of Hormuz is portrayed and American military targets across the Persian Gulf.
The short documentary comes at a time when Iranian anti-American and anti-Israel rhetoric has increased. On Saturday, Iran announced that it has ordered some of its warships to the North Atlantic, very close to U.S. maritime borders.
Admiral Afshin Rezayee Haddad, commander of Iran’s Northern Navy Fleet, told the IRNA news agency that “Iran’s military fleet is approaching the United States’ maritime borders, and this move has a message.”
An anonymous official from the U.S. government told Reuters that Iranian “ships are free to operate in international waters” but was confident that Iran would not be so foolish as to provoke an attack from the U.S. by coming close to its borders.
