Everything On Supreme Court Nominee Is Pure Speculation. It Probably Will Be Someone Not Being Highlighted By The Fake News

Scarborough Leaves Co-Workers Speechless After Predicting Trump’s Supreme Court Pick

Scarborough Leaves Co-workers Speechless After Predicting Trump's Supreme Court Pick

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough predicted on Thursday that President Donald Trump will pick “the white man” given the choice between a woman and a man, which prompted an awkward moment with co-host Mika Brzezinski and a guest a appearing on “Morning Joe.”
Axios co-founder Mike Allen told Scarborough and Brzezinski that he believes the president’s pick from a list of six candidates will ultimately come down to the person Trump is “most comfortable” with following his recent interviews.
People on that list reportedly include appeals court judges Brett Kavanaugh, Raymond Kethledge, Amy Coney Barrett, Amul Thapar, Joan Larsen and Thomas Hardiman.
Allen stated that Kavanaugh and Barrett appear to be rising to the fore.
“The inside line is that Amy Barrett will be better for the base, but a tougher confirmation fight,” he said. “But that’s the calculus aides are making.”

“But people are involved and for the president it is going to be all about the personal connection. Who he feels comfortable with in the moment,” Allen added.
Scarborough interjected proclaiming, “So you’re saying that he’s going to pick the man … the white man.”
Allen appeared visibly uncomfortable with that assessment, while Brzezinski responded shaking her head, “Oh, no, I totally don’t think that.”
“You disagree?” Scarborough asked, to which Allen responded, “I don’t know.”

Do you think Trump is willing to pick a woman or minority for the Supreme Court?

Scarborough then sought to defend his statement saying, “If you look and see through the first year, 90 percent of Donald Trump selections for U.S. Attorneys and judges were white men.”
According to a report released by Senate Democrats in May, Trump’s picks for federal prosecutors and judges have been largely white men.
Eights percent of his picks for federal prosecutors were women, and 8 percent are racial minorities, Politico reported.
Regarding judgeships, 25 percent of Trump’s district court nominees and 19 percent of his circuit court nominees are women, while 8 percent of his district court nominees and 11 percent of his circuit court nominees are minorities.
Barrett — a former Supreme Court clerk to the late Justice Antonin Scalia — was appointed to the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago by Trump last fall.

Among the short list, Larsen was also appointed by Trump last fall to the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, Ohio. Prior to her appointment, she served as a justice on the Michigan Supreme Court.
Thapar, whom the president appointed to the 6th Circuit as well in May 2017, is the child of Indian immigrants.
Fox News’ John Roberts reported on Thursday that Kethledge’s stock is rising among those on the short list. He, like Larsen and Thapar, serves as 6th Circuit appeals court judge.
Kavanaugh and Barrett, who has written about her pro-life views, are said to be still in the running, according to Roberts.
Trump has pledged to appoint justices to the Supreme Court from his list of originalists and textualists judges released during the 2016 presidential campaign, which has been added to since taking office.

Comey Becoming A Pariah

Even CNN is sick of Comey’s lies (must see!)

Disgraced former FBI Director James Comey’s new tell-all book is coming out today — and it has even his caused former supporters in Hillary Clinton’s campaign to “seethe with rage.”
“Allies and advisers to Hillary Clinton can finally agree with President Trump on one thing: former FBI Director James Comey is no hero,” The Hill reported, saying that even Hillary’s top aides are admitting that Comey has poor judgement.

After bungling the investigation into Hillary’s illegal email server, Comey was fired by Trump in May 0f 2017.
Since then, the discredited lawman then turned his wrath on the White House — and Comey’s tour of shameless self-promotion has both sides of the political aisle questioning his professionalism and credibility.
MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” hosts Joe Scarborough and his panelists ripped Comey on Monday for putting himself above the country after his career fell to pieces.
“One of the unfortunate things of all of this is that [this book tour is] happening,” Council on Foreign Relations chief Richard Haass said on the show. “There’s enough of a circus now.” Haass then called Comey’s book “self-interest, not national interest.”

Fox News called Comey’s ABC News interview Sunday night a disjointed mess that was largely panned by the few viewers it managed to bring in.
Journalism professor Jay Rosen complained the editing was heavy-handed and had a clear bias —
It has gotten so bad for Comey, even CNN piled on.

The liberal news network reported on Friday that there has been serious backlash on Comey’s professionalism from his former colleagues at the FBI —
You know that if Hillary, Trump supporters, CNN, and Fox News all agree on something, it must be true.

James Comey has no more credibility left to sell.

There Is Nothing In The Comey Memo That Is Impeachable Or Even Illegal But Leftists, Never Trumpers And Dems Are Going To Make You Think There Is.

Liberal law professor’s answer to Trump obstruction claim ‘isn’t going to be real popular’

Liberal law professor’s answer to Trump obstruction claim ‘isn’t going to be real popular’
George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley says he doesn't think President Donald Trump obstructed justice by reportedly asking then-FBI Director James Comey to close the agency's investigation into ousted White House national security adviser Michael Flynn. (Image source: YouTube screenshot)

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley rejected Tuesday any claims that President Donald Trump committed obstruction of justice by reportedly asking then-FBI Director James Comey to stop the agency’s probe into ousted White House national security adviser Gen. Michael Flynn.
Since The New York Times reported Tuesday that Trump had made the request of the former FBI director, some Democrats have said that if the report is true, then the president may have obstructed justice. A number of lawmakers on the left and the right have even compared Trump’s actions to Watergate.
But Turley said he isn’t convinced that Trump did anything illegal.
The liberal law professor, who is well-respected by individuals on both sides of the aisle, made the comment on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
Referring to the timeline of events related to Flynn and Comey so far during the Trump administration, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough asked Turley if it is true that “there are a lot of prosecutors across America who would be very comfortable with going in front of any federal judge and trying to prove obstruction of justice under that fact pattern.”
Turley responded by acknowledging that his answer likely would not be well-received by some.
“This isn’t going to be real popular, but I don’t think so,” Turley said.
Turley compared Trump critics suggesting that the U.S. may be nearing impeachment proceedings, despite the lack of evidence so far proving he did anything illegal, to traveling across the country with his family and them constantly asking “‘Are we there yet?'”
“Everyone wants to reach that point and you say, ‘Well, I can still see our house,'” Turley said.
Similarly, of Trump’s presidency, Turley said, “It’s only been 150 days or so since the inauguration.” Trump was inaugurated Jan. 20, which was 116 days ago.
“The fact is, I don’t think think this makes out an obstruction case,” Turley said.

In an opinion editorial published Tuesday morning by The Hill, Turley explained why he does not think Trump is in legal trouble.
“There are dozens of different variations of obstruction charges ranging from threatening witnesses to influencing jurors. None would fit this case,” Turley wrote.
Turley cited 18 USC 1505, which defines “obstruction of justice” as follows:
Whoever corruptly, or by threats or force, or by any threatening letter or communication influences, obstructs, or impedes or endeavors to influence, obstruct, or impede the due and proper administration of the law under which any pending proceeding is being had before any department or agency of the United States, or the due and proper exercise of the power of inquiry under which any inquiry or investigation is being had by either House, or any committee of either House or any joint committee of the Congress — Shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 5 years or, if the offense involves international or domestic terrorism (as defined in section 2331), imprisoned not more than 8 years, or both.
“Encouraging leniency or advocating for an associate is improper but not necessarily seeking an unlawful benefit for him,” Turley continued.
Turley said that Comey’s memo, which the New York Times cited in its reporting, “raises as many questions for Comey as it does Trump in terms of the alleged underlying conduct.”
“The account suggests that Comey was so concerned about the conversation that he wrote a memorandum for record. But that would suggest that Comey thought the president was trying to influence the investigation but then said nothing to the Justice Department or to his investigation team,” Turley wrote.
Turley then questioned why the former FBI director would not have told investigators of his conversation with the president.
“That would seem relevant to the scope of the investigation,” Turley concluded.
Editor’s note: A previous version of this article incorrectly stated that Turley is a law professor at Georgetown University. He is actually a law professor at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Proving He Is Not A Bigot, Impossible Job For Trump. Very Hard To Prove A Negative

Scarborough: Time For Lawmakers to Demand Trump Prove He's Not a Bigot

MSNBC's "Morning Joe"
By Sandy Fitzgerald   |   Wednesday, 08 Jun 2016 07:54 AM
Washington lawmakers like House Speaker Paul Ryan who continue to support Donald Trump despite his words against U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel need to take their deals "off the table" unless the presumptive GOP nominee apologizes for his comments, MSNBC's Joe Scarborough demanded on Wednesday.

"[They need to say,] 'Donald, guess what, I'm not going to support you until you get your act together,'" Scarborough said on his "Morning Joe" program. "'You're acting like a bush league loser, racist, bigot. This is called art of the deal, I'm taking my deal off the table.'"
Further, said Scarborough, the lawmakers, especially Ryan, who Tuesday condemned Trump's statements as the "textbook definition" of racism, but still said he was supporting him as being better than presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, need proof that Trump is "not a bigot."

"'Until you come to the table, the other side of the table and prove to me you're not a bigot and you don't take my party down in the ditch you don't have my endorsement and you can't use Hillary Clinton as a gun against my head,'" Scarborough told lawmakers to say to Trump.
Latest News Update

"'I'm taking the gun away from my head, I'm putting it on the table and now it is in your hands on whether you are going to prove to the Republican Party and me personally that you're not a bigot,'" Scarborough continued.
Don't use Hillary Clinton as a threat against me. Don't use Hillary Clinton as an excuse, as your blank check to say racist things about people born in Indiana. No, Donald, you don't get to play it that way. I'm not scared of you and I'm not scared of the base because they are just as pissed off as me.'"

Show co-host Mika Brzezinski chimed in, saying that Ryan can't use Clinton "in your pathetic, weak kind of meandering around this problem."

"Really?" she said "You hate her so much that you'll take a racist? You hate her that much that we're going to have eight more years of the Republicans we had who said from the get-go with Obama, we just want him to fail. You're going to have more of the same. You are more of the same."
Scarborough added in that if Washington's establishment continues to  "embrace the racist" to beat Clinton, they will lose to her and "destroy the party...you lose the presidency, right? And then you lose the Senate and you lose the House and then we small-government conservatives, we're screwed because you've destroyed our party because you're running scared."
