Everyday Another "Bible Story" Is Proven Accurate By Scholars

Ancient Tablet Proving Existence of Tower of Babel Deciphered After 100 Years [VIDEO]

“And they said: ‘Come, let us build us a city, and a tower, with its top in heaven, and let us make us a name; lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.’” Genesis 11:4 (The Israel Bible™)
An ancient tablet believed to depict the Biblical Tower of Babel has been deciphered 100 years after its discovery and may represent the first-ever image of the real Tower when it stood in Babylon during Biblical times.
The amazing tale of the tablet is told in a series produced by the Smithsonian. For scholars, the tablet offers proof that the Tower of Babel wasn’t just a work of fiction, the series argues, but “an actual building from antiquity.”
The sixth-century BCE tablet, found a century ago but, as part of a private collection, never studied or exhibited until now, depicts a Babylonian tower known as a ziggurat. After deciphering the tablet, Dr. Andrew George, an expert on ancient Babylon, became convinced it shows the true source of the famed Biblical story.

The amazing tale of the tablet is told in a series produced by the Smithsonian. For scholars, the tablet offers proof that the Tower of Babel wasn’t just a work of fiction, the series argues, but “an actual building from antiquity.”
In the first installment of the series, Dr. George, a professor of Babylonian at the University of London, examines the tablet, showing an image of the ziggurat, a massive stepped structure, and a figure holding a staff. The professor translates the inscription, which identifies the structure as the “Tower of Temple of Babylon”.
The inscription confirms the building was a Mesopotamian-style tower and illustrates the seven tiers of the ancient megastructure. Significantly, it also identifies the man behind it, depicted next to the tower – Mesopotamia’s most famous ruler, King Nebuchadnezzar II. Dr. George’s translation of the tablet reveals a detailed account of the tower’s construction by the Babylonian king.

“It reads, ‘from the Upper Sea, which is the Mediterranean, to the Lower Sea, which is the Persian Gulf, the far-flung lands and the teeming people of the habitations, I mobilized in order to construct this building.’”
The inscription was one of the keys to identifying the ziggurat described in the tablet as the Biblical tower. Dr. George believes that its builders, hailing from all over the region, could represent the Biblical ‘multitudes’ of languages which led to the tower’s destruction.
“The myth about the multitude of tongues comes from the context described in the stele about the multitude of peoples enlisted in the construction of the tower,” Professor George told Breaking Israel News in an interview. “There were many languages spoken on the construction site. From that it may be that the Bible got the idea of the confusion of tongues.”
Come, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech. Genesis 11:7
“As an Assyriologist, I don’t deal in the Bible, and I am not a religious person, but in this case, I can say there is an actual building which does seem to be the inspiration for the Biblical narrative,” Dr. George acknowledged to Breaking Israel News.
More and more, archaeologists are finding proof that Biblical stories relate to historical events. Dr. George sees no contradiction between science and the Bible. The professor described how this schism between science and religion is gradually being reconciled in his field.

“After Darwin cast a doubt on the story of a six-day creation, people began to ask what else in the Bible might not be true,” Dr. George said. “In the 19th century there was a discovery that the Assyrian kings described in the Bible were real and corroborated by archaeological evidence, making us ask now, how much more in the Bible is true?”
Archaeologists generally agree that the site of the tower is in the ancient city of Babylonia, an area known today as Al Qasr, approximately 80 miles south of Baghdad. The original city, believed to have been built in 2300 BCE, was sacked in 1595 BCE by the Hittites. In 612 BCE, Nebuchadnezzar II rebuilt the city, turning it into his capital. He constructed a large ziggurat  around the original ancient tower.
Nebuchadnezzar’s ziggurat, referred to by archaeologists as the Etemenanki, is believed to have been almost 300 feet tall, with a square base measuring 300 feet on each side. It encased the earlier structure, made of sunbaked bricks, inside a 49-foot -thick wall of oven-baked brick.
Until the US incursion into Iraq in 2003, the site was neglected, due to local people stealing the ancient bricks for construction. Saddam Hussein reconstructed part of ancient Babylon in 1985, destroying sections of the ancient ruins. Hearkening back to the ancient practice, he added his own inscription, stamping into its bricks, “This was built by Saddam Hussein, son of Nebuchadnezzar, to glorify Iraq”, and installing a huge portrait of himself alongside the Biblical king.

Isn't It Time Planned Parenthood Announce Their Real Intentions? It's All About Eliminating The Black Race Or As Margaret Sanger Said, "The Human Weeds"

By Paul Bremmer
It may be uncomfortable for fans of Planned Parenthood, but it’s true – Margaret Sanger, the legendary birth control activist, was a racial eugenicist who once spoke before the Ku Klux Klan.
The evidence is right there in her own memoir, according to Paul Kengor.
“These are the kind of great lengths to which liberals go to ignore the writings of their own icons,” said Kengor, a professor and author of “Takedown: From Communists to Progressives, How the Left Has Sabotaged Family and Marriage.” “Pages 366 and 367 of her memoirs, published by a top New York publishing house, she talks about her 1926 speech to the Silver Lake, New Jersey, women’s chapter of the KKK. That’s right – Margaret Sanger spoke to the KKK.”
In an interview with WND, Kengor recounted Sanger’s KKK experience as documented in her memoir.
“She describes the white hoods that come through, the flaming crosses that come through,” Kengor recalled. “Then she gets up and speaks, and she spoke for so long and was such a hit that she didn’t get finished until late at night. She also said a whole bunch of additional offers to speak were proffered by her enthusiastic audience, and she finished so late that she missed the train to go back to New York. She had to spend the night there.
“And people might wonder, why would the KKK invite Margaret Sanger? Because Margaret Sanger was a racial eugenicist. She spoke openly of race improvement.”
This fact was not lost on a group of 10 black clergymen who now have sent a letter to the director of the Smithsonian Institution’s National Portrait Gallery requesting that a bust of Sanger be removed from the museum’s “Struggle for Justice” exhibit.
“Ironically, Sanger’s bust is featured in the NPG’s ‘Struggle for Justice’ exhibit, alongside two of America’s most celebrated and authentic champions of equal rights – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and Rosa Parks,” the pastors wrote. “If Sanger had her way, MLK and Rosa Parks would not have been born.”
Neither would Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, a radio talk-show host, speaker, and WND columnist. Peterson said he agrees with the black pastors’ demand to remove the Sanger bust.
“They should remove it because Margaret Sanger is presented as a civil-rights person, someone who was for the people and for freedom, and that wasn’t the case at all,” Peterson told WND in an interview. “Margaret Sanger believed in eugenics and she believed that black people were an underclass, they were having too many babies in the South and that they needed to be wiped out.”
Peterson, author of the soon-to-be-released book “Antidote,” charged Sanger’s desire to control the black population led her to found the American Birth Control League, which later evolved into Planned Parenthood.
“She was a hardcore racist who hated black Americans, and unfortunately 70 percent of the Planned Parenthood abortion mills are in inner cities right now,” Peterson noted. “[Sanger] was not about freedom for all people, and she wasn’t a leader in the civil rights movement or an example for the civil rights movement.”
Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue and a leading anti-abortion activist, also supports the removal of Sanger’s likeness from the National Portrait Gallery.
“Her legacy has been one of disgusting racism and eugenics,” Newman, author of “Abortion Free: Your Manual for Building a Pro-Life America One Community at a Time,” said. “Most Americans do not understand that she was more closely associated with the ideology of the Nazis than a modern-day perspective of social justice. Reading through her writings and lectures one would easily find that she would be considered a despicable racist in today society.”
Kengor certainly agrees, pointing out Sanger once used the phrase “Birth Control: To Create a Race of Thoroughbreds” as a masthead in an issue of her publication Birth Control Review. The professor also echoed Peterson’s point that Planned Parenthood targets minority babies.
“Today her Planned Parenthood clinics abort a disproportionate number of unborn African-American babies,” Kengor said. “And that’s a hard fact for liberals to accept, and they refuse to accept, and they’re right now yelling at their screen calling me names, but it’s true. It’s absolutely true. And it’s horrible, it’s disgusting, and it’s downright evil.”
“Evil” was the word Peterson also used to describe the Smithsonian Institution’s decision to honor the racist Sanger alongside the likes of King and Parks, who fought for African-American rights. He also called it a “slap in the face” to all those who suffered and died for the freedom of black Americans.
Said Peterson: “I grew up in Alabama on a plantation down there under Jim Crow laws, and to see [Sanger] standing there alongside people like that as though she was part of the civil rights movement is really – it’s evil. It’s pretty evil.”

Government Spending Gone Wild!

The following post is a humorous look at the pork that was stuffed into the Hurricane Sandy bill.  Can't we just get a clean bill relating ONLY to the subject matter?  No wonder we have such problems, every bill is stuffed with goodies for other constituencies.

Tell us your opinion of this or any other item that has upset you in the past 39 years!

Hurricane Sandy pork

By Tom Purcell

Published: Saturday, December 29, 2012, 8:04 p.m.Updated: Saturday, December 29, 2012

Many news outlets are reporting that President Obama‘s proposed $60.4 billion federal aid bill for Hurricane Sandy victims is packed with pork. I contacted my White House insider, Deep Mole, to get some answers.
Purcell: Isn‘t this another example of reckless politicians exploiting an emergency to fund pet projects and pork?
Deep Mole: Pet projects? Pork? There is no pork in the president‘s proposal.
Purcell: You‘re nuts. As this bill worked its way through the Senate before Christmas, Democrats slipped in all kinds of non-emergency goodies. Then they offered more goodies to Republicans to win their support.
Deep Mole: Goodies?
Purcell: Why does the bill include $2 million to repair roof damage at Smithsonian buildings in Washington, D.C.?
Deep Mole: The Smithsonian is a national treasure that Sandy victims may one day visit. We must make sure they are not traumatized by leaky museum roofs!
Purcell: Nice try, my friend. Why does the emergency bill include $336 million for Amtrak-related expenses?
Deep Mole: Amtrak is a common mode of transportation for New York residents to travel to Washington and go to the Smithsonian. We must make sure Sandy victims are not traumatized by broken-down trains.
Purcell: You are clever. Then explain why the emergency bill includes $8 million to buy new cars for federal agencies.
Deep Mole: Many federal agencies are assisting Sandy victims. They need new cars from government-owned General Motors to drive to the areas where government services are most needed.
Purcell: You‘re good. Then explain why the bill includes $150 million for fisheries in Mississippi and Alaska.
Deep Mole: Hurricane victims are known to work very hard cleaning up their messy homes and burning excess calories. It is essential they have access to high-protein American fish!
Purcell: Then explain how $4 million for repairs at the Kennedy Space Center has anything to do with a hurricane in the Northeast.
Deep Mole: The John F. Kennedy Space Center has launched many historic flights into space, bringing inspiration and hope to millions of Americans. Aren‘t inspiration and hope what Sandy victims need most?
Purcell: Not bad, my friend, but this waste is yet another example of our politicians “not letting a good crisis go to waste.” Our country has almost $16.3 trillion in debt. We are accumulating additional debt at the rate of $150 million an hour — yet the gravy train keeps rolling. Our political leaders are out of control.
Deep Mole: They are?
Purcell: Yes, the Taxpayers for Common Sense explain that the federal government has established a clear definition of what an “emergency” is to determine which incidents or events are worthy of federal relief. Emergency spending should only support something that is necessary, sudden, urgent, unforeseen and not permanent. Those are the rules.
Deep Mole: Rules? The Senate has not passed a budget in more than three years. There are no longer any rules. In our republic the only thing that can stop out-of-control politicians from spending recklessly are the voters — and a majority of them no longer care about what we waste money on, so long as they get their cut.
Purcell: Well, if the pork-laden version of the Sandy bill passes the Senate, the only hope is that the Republican House will do its job and strip out the waste. It is called checks and balances.
Deep Mole: So naive. If Republicans in the House do anything to hold up the bill, the president will tar them for withholding assistance to the victims of Sandy and the media will saturate the airwaves with images of the obliteration Sandy caused. Dumb Republicans can‘t win for losing.
