No Limit Abortion Passes In Vermont--What Is Going On In This Country?

Vermont House passes a staggering abortion bill – here's what it says

This is the most expansive abortion bill yet

The Vermont House voted to pass a staggering bill that would allow abortion at any stage of pregnancy and for any reason whatsoever.

Critics say the legislation is more expansive of abortion rights than the extremist bills passed in New York and Virginia.
"Every individual who becomes pregnant has the fundamental right to choose to carry a pregnancy to term, give birth to a child, or to have an abortion," the bill reads.
It passed by a vote of 106 to 36.
The bill would also strip unborn children of any rights or recognition of their personhood by the state.
"A fertilized egg, embryo, or fetus shall not have independent rights under Vermont law," it reads.
Republicans introduced several amendments to the bill, including one that would require women to receive an ultrasound before aborting their baby, but the objections were voted down by Democrats.
Another amendment would require minors to have parental consent before aborting a child — that was voted down as well.
Alexandra DeSanctis of National Review excoriated Democrats who support the law, saying it "makes a frightening statement about the Democratic Party's increasingly extreme view of abortion rights."
The bill goes to the Vermont Senate next, where Democrats hold a supermajority. Vermont Gov. Phil Scott (D) has already indicated that he will sign the bill if it passes.

This Is Sad On Many Levels! America Is Falling Into The Abyss

Trump Family Learns Vet’s Trump 2020 Flag Vandalized, Send Him Massive Basket of Gifts

As much as the left likes to virtue signal about how tolerant they are, the facts show otherwise. In yet another case of their “tolerance,” political intimidation has been used to attack and threaten a Trump-supporting family in Vermont.
Among the things done to this family, their “Trump 2020” flag was removed, burned, and left on their porch. When the family of President Donald Trump found out, they were quick to respond.
WCAX originally covered the story of how Burlington, Vermont resident and veteran Gus Klein was targeted. After their story ran and went viral, more harassment occurred. The family got death threats and a Trump bumper sticker was ripped off Klein’s vehicle.

Gus explained, “I hear on the other end (of the phone) some expletives, profanity, I guess, with the letter F. ‘F you Trump fan, I’m going to kill you.'” He added, “I don’t know what gives people the right that they feel they can get in your own personal property and do something.”
The Kleins were excited about the Trump family response, but time passed and no replacement showed up. After a follow-up call to the family, in which the Kleins explained they never got the replacement, things changed.
The very next day the family got their replacement flag. But that was not all. They got a treasure trove of related goodies, including a MAGA hat signed by both President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.

Do you think the family is brave with their support for President Trump?

The Kleins were thrilled. Gus said, “I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t believe it. So this is going to be like a family heirloom.”
Gus’ wife, Ann-Marie Klein, kept a positive attitude, despite the harassment. “I still have faith in people and Vermonters letting us fly our flag freely without any issues or problems.”
Gus said that the harassment had left him feeling “fired me up a little more.” He noted that the intimidation tactics had not worked.
Until the replacement arrived, the Kleins flew the burned flag. Once it arrived, they planned on holding a special, public ceremony to raise the new flag and celebrate.
WCAX wrote that “Republicans like Anya Tynio who ran against Rep. Peter Welch for Congress and Lawrence Zupan who ran against Sen. Bernie Sanders plan to attend. There will be a bagpipe entrance as the Kleins raise the flag.”

In an update to the story, WCAX noted that the ceremony did take place. They reported that public officials from across the state were in attendance.
During the flag raising celebration, some people drove by and yelled at those in attendance. One vehicle was covered with anti-Trump messaging. That car’s driver was given a verbal warning by the police.
As for Klein, he is undeterred by the critics. “The feeling of pride. I have never been prouder to have an event like this in the city of Burlington, Vermont.”
“It was excitement. It kind of gives the man goose pimples ya know cold chills to know that we have the rights as American citizens to do what we want.”
The teens who burned his flag, the people phoning the family with threats, the others harassing the Kleins may think their actions mean they have won. But ultimately, this veteran got the last laugh.

Is This What The United States Has Descending Into?

A Vermont mother of two daughters who’s running as a Republican for the state’s House of Representatives said she received a left-wing death and rape threat in a pro-“Socialism” letter mailed to her home, WCAX-TV reported.
Deserae Morin posted a photo of the letter on Facebook:

In a “cutout” word format, the letter begins “C***” and continues with, “We are hunting you. My comrades will kill you and the Constitution. First we will rape you for years. You will scream and know that agonizing horror. No equal rights for Republicans. Socialism is here. Open season for Republican death in Vermont. Fear our revolution. It’s time.” The letter, mailed to Morin’s home in Colchester, is signed “AA.”
Vermont state police are investigating, the station reported, adding that Morin said an internal Post Office task force is looking into the letter.

What did Morin have to say about the letter?

“It’s like how dare you?” Morin told WCAX. “I’m a traitor to their ideology. Like, they just assume because I’m young and I’m female that automatically I should be leftist — and I’m not, and that makes people really mad at me.”
She added to the station: “I’m very outspoken. I’m very well spoken. I’m a real threat to socialism, and now socialism is a real threat to me.”

However, Morin noted to WCAX that she’s “trying not to take it too seriously because it’s most likely … just an empty threat.” She added to VTDigger that some of the letter used clippings from campaign material Morin handed out in her community.
“I knew on some level I’ve made contact with this person,” Morin added to the outlet. “They’re somewhere in the vicinity, geographically speaking. And that’s unsettling.”
She also told VTDigger that she “knew there was going to be pushback — especially being Republican in Vermont. I just never expected something this extreme.”
Morin told the outlet her family has taken security measures. But she told WCAX she’s also concerned about her young female supporters.
“I’m not comfortable asking them to come out anymore because I don’t want to be responsible for somebody else getting hurt,” Morin told the station. “I feel like I have to protect them now.”

What are others saying about the letter?

Jack Moulton, executive director of the Vermont Republican Party, told VTDigger the party is “thankful” that police are investigating the threat.
Lt. Gov. David Zukerman — a “progressive” Democrat, according to the outlet — condemned the threatening letter in a public speech: “It doesn’t matter whether it’s extreme right, or extreme left, that is not who we are in Vermont.”
But Zukerman also managed to bash President Donald Trump in the process.
“We cannot take the energy that’s coming out of our president in Washington and allow it taint our water, our spirit and our souls,” he added, according to VTDigger. “We are better than that.”
Christopher Di Mezzo, communications director for the Vermont Democratic Party, told the outlet in an email that the party believes whoever is responsible for the threat will be prosecuted.
“Threats of political violence fly in the face of our shared values as Vermonters and have no place in our public discourse,” he said.
It should be noted that numerous “victims” have claimed violence and acts of hatred and bigotry were perpetrated against them — sometimes at the hands of white men or Trump supporters — only to see their claims debunked as hoaxes and lies.

Isn't This As Racist As Having A KKK Flag Fly?

A Black Lives Matter flag will fly in front of a Vermont public high school next month — Black History Month — after a student group pressed the school board for the move amid complaints about “white privilege” and “implicit bias,” the Burlington Free Press reported.
The board unanimously approved the hoisting of the Black Lives Matter flag outside Montpelier High School during February, the paper said, after members of the student-led Racial Justice Alliance spoke to the board Jan. 17.
“Vermont has a long history of being at the forefront of civil rights movements,” Montpelier Public Schools said in a statement, the Free Press reported Wednesday. “Our state was the first to abolish slavery in its constitution, and the first to enroll and graduate a black student, who subsequently served in the state legislature. The School Board’s decision to fly a Black Lives Matter flag builds on that legacy.”

What else do the the Racial Justice Alliance students want?

The Racial Justice Alliance students said in statement to the board that the Black Lives Matter flag would be one element of a wider campaign that includes curriculum changes, administrative training, faculty in-service training, a schoolwide assembly and other moves, the paper said.
“And yet, we need to do more to raise our predominantly white community’s collective consciousness to better recognize white privilege and implicit bias,” the Racial Justice Alliance’s statement added, according to Free Press.
The group also noted, the paper said: “We will raise the flag with love in our hearts and courage in our voices. We reject any purported connections to violence or hate that may or may not have occurred under the Black Lives Matter flag. We recognize that all lives do matter, but in the same spirit, not all lives are acknowledged for their equal importance until black lives have been.”

What about those in the community who disagree with flying the Black Lives Matter flag?

The school board said it’s aware some community members might be against the move and welcomes those who disagree into “constructive and peaceful dialogue, in the hopes of deepening our shared understanding of race and privilege in our education system and broader community,” the paper said.
