Obama Impeachment Proposed

We wrote a post this morning entitled "Are You Ready To Fight For Your Country" and wonder how many will answer that question in the affirmative? We are, but are you?

At least one of our Representatives is at least doing part of the work of a Congressman, he is threatening to bring Impeachment Articles against the President should he go ahead with his threat to use Executive Orders to ban guns. We wish him luck.

However, we feel he is on a Don Quixote  mission. Should Obama do what he threatens which would be to use his Executive powers to enforce the gun laws, there may be enough votes in the House to get the Articles of Impeachment filed. They would then be sent over to the Senate which is the sticking point.  Senate Democrats will NEVER vote against their President and since it takes a 2/3 vote in favor of Impeachment that will NEVER occur.

To get a conviction, Obama would have to do something so outrageous, so abhorrent, so dishonorable that even Democrats would vote against him. We cannot think of anything that would meet that criteria. Can you?

So how do we  stop this runaway government?  We are asking for your suggestions. Please let us know how you think we can make a difference.

Texas Representative Threatens Obama Impeachment Over Guns

Texas Representative Threatens Obama Impeachment Over Guns
SPECIAL
Representative Steve Stockman (R-Texas) said yesterday that he would “seek to thwart” any attempts of executive action to implement stricter gun-control laws in the United States, even if it means “filing articles of impeachment” against President Barack Obama.
In a press conference yesterday, the President said that he was exploring what options he has for implementing stricter gun laws without Congressional approval.
“My understanding is the Vice President’s going to provide a range of steps that we can take to reduce gun violence,” said Obama. “Some of them will require legislation, some of them I can accomplish through executive action. And so I will be reviewing those today, and as I said, I will speak in more detail to what we’re going to go ahead and propose later in the week. But I’m confident that there are some steps that we can take that don’t require legislation and that are within my authority as President, and where you get a step that, has the opportunity to reduce the possibility of gun violence, then I want to go ahead and take it.”
Stockman issued a statement after Obama’s remarks calling the President’s possible use of executive action “an existential threat to this Nation.”
“The White House’s recent announcement they will use executive orders and executive actions to infringe on our constitutionally-protected right to keep and bear arms is an unconstitutional and unconscionable attack on the very founding principles of this republic,” Stockman said. “I will seek to thwart this action by any means necessary, including but not limited to eliminating funding for implementation, defunding the White House, and even filing articles of impeachment.”
Though Obama said that “responsible gun owners” have no reason for concern, Stockman said that the potential for executive action should worry all Americans.
“The right of the people to keep and bear arms is what has kept this nation free and secure for over 200 years,” he continued. “The very purpose of the Second Amendment is to stop the government from disallowing people the means to defend themselves against tyranny. Any proposal to abuse executive power and infringe upon gun rights must be repelled with the stiffest legislative force possible.
“Under no circumstances whatsoever may the government take any action that disarms any peaceable person — much less without due process through an executive declaration without a vote of Congress or a ruling of a court. The President’s actions are not just an attack on the Constitution and a violation of his sworn oath of office,” he continued. “They are a direct attack on Americans that place all of us in danger. If the President is allowed to suspend constitutional rights on his own personal whims, our free republic has effectively ceased to exist.”

  1. You write, "Articles against the President should he go ahead with his threat to use Executive Orders to ban guns."

What threat? I watched Obama's speech. There is not one word in it about issuing executive orders to ban guns. That is not going to happen. ZERO probability -- there's still time to put up your $20 bet, Tom.

This Stockman guy is simply grand-standing for public relations with his constituencies back in Texas.

  2. Hey, my $20 bet is still sitting on the table. If you were really drinking the Stockman Kool-Aid, you'd take the bet. I know you don't believe this stuff.

  3. Again, you missed the point of my comments. I am NOT drinking the Kool aid as I said he was on a Don Quixote mission!

Obama will do more damage to the US in the next four years than the 30 previous Presidents. He will remove more rights than you could ever imagine. He will tell more lies than any other President. He will pass edicts that previous Presidents should have been thrown out of office. The reason, he is UN-impeachable.

The Senate is so strongly Democratic and the Republicans are too mealy mouthed and liver lillied to vote for conviction. Only a few Senators would take the high ground.

And even if there was a vote for conviction, the Roberts court would throw it out.

Obams can do anything that he wants. He knows the calculus and he is definitely in the drivers seat.

  4. We all know a president can't be impeached and convicted without party control in both branches of Congress. That is not the flavor of Kool-Aid we are talking about.

No, the issue is whether you truly believe Obama is going to issue an exec. order banning guns, or charging exorbitant fees for background checks, or annual fees for guns, or allowing the U.N. to come in and confiscate guns. You have been gulping that Kool-Aid for a couple weeks now. ZERO probability for any of that happening. I'll give you the bet on ANY of it.

I think we have already established that not a single Obama conspiracy theory you have reposted so far has ever happened. The Hillary Clinton plane crash in Iran is also absurd on the face of it. According to the time-line in the story, the pilot was already dead in Iran when he died December 22 in Afghanistan. You really should help me fact-check some of this stuff you post.

  5. Would you believe that they would tell us the truth if she was on the trip? The information came from several sources. Do NOT believe this government--look how they handled Benghazi. It was all lies and on top of it, the post was a CIA post selling arms to the militants.

  6. Hillary can't be two places at the same time, either. Go check her public schedule for the first week of December. She was engaged in public appearances every day in other countries not named "Iran." Your "sources" are all unnamed foreigners -- weren't some Russian or Iranian? Yeah, those guys are real trustworthy.

Anyway, tomorrow you will learn that Obama is not confiscating anybody's gun, imposing onerous fees, etc. I will be interested to hear what you say about it.

  7. Here are the 23 Obama executive orders. I see nothing here about onerous fees for background checks or annual fees. Good for you that you didn't make the bet!

    1. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system.

    2. Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system.

    3. Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system.

    4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks.

    5. Propose rule-making to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun.

    6. Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers.

    7. Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign.

    8. Review safety standards for gun locks and gun safes (Consumer Product Safety Commission).

    9. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations.

    10. Release a DOJ report analyzing information on lost and stolen guns and make it widely available to law enforcement.

    11. Nominate an ATF director.

    12. Provide law enforcement, first responders, and school officials with proper training for active shooter situations.

    13. Maximize enforcement efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime.

    14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence.

    15. Direct the Attorney General to issue a report on the availability and most effective use of new gun safety technologies and challenge the private sector to develop innovative technologies

    16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes.

    17. Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities.

    18. Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers.

    19. Develop model emergency response plans for schools, houses of worship and institutions of higher education.

    20. Release a letter to state health officials clarifying the scope of mental health services that Medicaid plans must cover.

    21. Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges.

    22. Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations.

    23. Launch a national dialogue led by Secretaries Sebelius and Duncan on mental health.

  8. You don't see anything wrong with #4? What if one belongs to the Tea Party, would that be an acceptable screen? They have said that all Tea Party members are rebels and dangerous. The Administration also has said that returning veterans are dangerous.I think that these could be included in this category.

This is way to wide a brush to really get a handle on what they are trying to do.

  9. The health care issues are also very burdensome. Obamacare explicitly prevents care providers from revealing issues. Should that be struck down?

As far as mental health, should someone who saw a psychiatrist 20 years ago when they had a rough spot (marriage breakup, loss of spouse or child etc) be prevented from purchasing a gun? Or how about the use of a mild sedative for stress, does that prevent you from getting a gun? What about the patient-doctor relationship, must the doctor tell the government about your mental issues, regardless of how minimal?

  10. #6 is very interesting in light of Fast and Furious. The government is going to send information to gun dealers--it was the gun dealers who turned in the government who was selling the guns to the Mexican drug gangs!

Maybe there will be hints at how not to get caught!

  11. As I look at this seemingly innocuous list of government double speak, it makes me wonder what else is going on.

If this is the best the Administration can do, I doubt very much that the left will be pleased, so there has to be more than this list.

If this is the "real list", the right should be pleased, however, I doubt very much that this is real.

Also, where is the attack on violent movies and videos?

This is a false flag, a smoke screen. This is not the real things.

  12. Tax-payers are paying $80 billion a year for this?

    1. Pretty sad, huh. This is just another story about how bad this government and its agencies are.

No, it is a brief description of the forthcoming executive orders. Soon, you can read every word of them all in the Federal Register.

There will not be anything there about onerous fees for background checks or onerous annual fees per gun. You still have a little time left to get down your bet!

  14. Just wait, the smoke has not cleared yet.
