If you really want to understand the AR-15 and its importance to the Second Amendment, you should read the attached article. So far it is the best explanation of the importance of a dreaded "assault weapon."
You won't read anything like this type of information on many other sites, even pro-gun control. We are proud to express a balanced view of this weapon.

This guy has the same problem as the other one -- a lot of irrelevant statistics.
ReplyDeleteI can boil this down to a simple question: If your goal is to walk into a room of 100 people and kill them all, which weapon would your rather have?
1. A handgun with 10 10-round clips, or...
2. An assault rifle with a single 100-round drum?
--David
A handgun, it is much more dependable. Both are semi automatic and can fire just as fast except needing to change clips, however, the assault weapon is not dependable.
DeleteDoes that satisfy you!!
David, there is no such thing as a 100 round drum, so your question only shows that you do not understand guns or the issue itself.
ReplyDeleteThe issue is being focused by the gun grabbers on the amount of ammo that a clip can hold. That is not the issue.
The issue is the right of Americans to have weapons to defend themselves from a government intent on destroying our freedoms. If you look at what has happenned over the past ten years, all you see is less rights for all of us.
Once they eliminate clips of any size, then there will be another event and they will go after the guns for real.
This attention to clips is only the first in a number of steps to disarm us.
Actually, the Colorado theatre shooter had a 100-round drum magazine…
ReplyDelete"The four weapons that authorities say were used in the massacre at a Colorado theater showing of the latest Batman movie included a popular semiautomatic rifle, a .223-caliber assault-style rifle with a 100-round drum magazine."
Here is one of many places on the internet where you can order one…

So, now that you know about 100-round magazine drums, what is your answer to my question?

As the guy says, "This thing actually works. It will put a smile on your face."

ReplyDeleteIf you want to see how well these 100 magazine works!
Anyone who wants to walk in a room and kill 100 people is NOT a healthy person and should NOT have a gun.
ReplyDeleteHowever, should someone walk in a room with the intent of killing 100 people, wouldn't you want someone with a gun to stop him?
If no one has guns, we all are sitting ducks to the criminal element who has guns!
With all the discussions on 100 round magazines, we find it interesting that the Colorado shooter had to switch to a pistol after his 100 round clip jammed--which is very normal. They just do not work right. Banned or not, these clips are stupid as they do not perform.
ReplyDeleteSource: Colorado shooter's rifle jammed during rampage
From Susan Candiotti, CNN
updated 7:07 PM EDT, Sun July 22, 2012
A Bush Master AR-15 assault rifle similar to one used in Friday's rampage is displayed Sunday at a gun shop in Aurora, Colorado.
STORY HIGHLIGHTS
Witnesses had said one of the suspect's guns appeared to jam during the rampage
Large-capacity magazines "have a tendency to jam," the source says
A Batman poster and mask were found in the suspect's apartment
Body armor indicates the gunman "intended to do battle" with police, source says
Ha! If I am one of the 100 people in the room, I wouldn't want to bet my life that the gun jams. If the guy has a 10-clip gun, people will have time to run or fight once his first clips runs out.
ReplyDeleteYou posted a lot of stuff in response to my question, but you didn't answer the question. Just give me a straight-up answer. There are only two choices.
