Could the Boston Bombers planned to do harm in New York? If so, why did they not leave immediately for New York? If not to do damage, we ask again, why did they not leave? Apparently, they had not thought out the plan that far. They knew what they wanted to do but had not made any alternative plans or escape plans. When the victim of their bomb identified them, they apparently realized too late that they were caught in Boston. Kinda like a rat in a sinking ship.
More credit must be given to the two people most responsible for the identification of the Tsarnaev brothers and the capture of the youngest. Without these two gentlemen, the police still would be going through pictures for the bombers and bomber #2 most likely would have been found dead. We hear nothing on these men with all the glory going to the police. The police DID NOT break this case, the tips did and they came from ordinary citizens who were observant and reported what they saw to the authorities.
It irritates us significantly when the police and government officials completely ignored the tip sources and only talked about themselves. Guys, how about a little humility?
How about acknowledging the importance of citizen-police relationships? Nope, all we get is grandstanding.
Of course the people in Boston were not much different. Their over wrought applauding
of the police AFTER the younger brother was found was nauseating. It looked like a victorious army overthrowing a dictator (ala American troops during WWII) rather than a fairly standard police action. Of course, the police were dressed the part of conquerors and the people of Boston acted like those who had been domineered for years and were joyful for their rescue! The entire scene was sickening.
If Americans have become like the meek, cow towed residents of Boston, we have a problem. This was only ONE 20 year old kid (not an army) and they were hiding in their houses like church mice. The police (invading army) treated all the residents like enemy combatants rather than their employers and the government forced all inhabitants of Boston to stay inside and essentially declared martial law. This was a government takeover of a city and NO ONE has complained.
Boston will be the blueprint of many operations in the future. It will not be confined to large metropolitan areas, even rural and less populace parts of the country will come under martial law. It worked well in Boston and the people convulsed into an orgy of thankfulness instead of the American spirit of self reliance.
One man is not an invading army yet, Boston showed how a city could be taken over without firing a shot and the residents applauded the effort! Sad, very sad.

The brothers suspected of committing the Boston Marathon bombings last week had planned on heading to New York afterward “to party,” New York Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said on Wednesday.
“There is some information that they may have been intent to come to New York but not to continue what they were doing,” Kelly said, attributing the information to interrogations of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the 19-year-old who was arrested on Friday night.
“The information that we received is something about a party — having a party,” he added, according to The Wall Street Journal. “Something to the effect of coming to party in New York.”
No evidence has been discovered that Tsarnaev and his older brother, Tamerlan, 26, who died in a police shootout early Friday, planned any attacks in New York, Kelly said.

These details emerged from further interrogation of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who remained in fair condition and under heavy guard at a Boston hospital on Wednesday. He was charged on Monday in the April 15 blasts near the Boston Marathon’s finish line that killed three people and injured 250 others.
In addition, Kelly confirmed that the carjacking victim who encountered the brothers on Thursday night said the suspects “were speaking in either Chechen or Russian, a language the driver didn’t understand. But he thought he heard the word ‘Manhattan’ in their conversation,” the Journal reports.
The driver, who has not been identified, eventually escaped from the brothers after letting them use his bank card to withdraw money from an automated-teller machine, authorities said.
While the brothers did not appear to have any intimate ties to New York, Kelly said investigators in Boston and New York were examining at least one visit by Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to New York last November.
The younger Tsarnaev may have made subsequent visits, Kelly told the Journal, and investigators have tracked other potential links to the New York City region.
For instance, when the FBI was seeking the suspects, a friend of Dzhokhar’s said agents visited her mother’s house on Long Island, thinking he might try to visit her there.
And in one visit, Dzhokhar was photographed with four others in Times Square — and he posted the image on his Twitter account, the Journal reports.
Kelly said it was not yet clear when the photo was taken and who else is shown.
“We’re trying to determine where they were” and what the purpose of the visits were, Kelly told the Journal.

NYPD’s Kelly: Brothers Planned to ‘Party’ in New York After Blasts
