Giuliani: Obama Lacks Executive Skills
Friday, 30 May 2014 01:00 PM
"He's not cut out to be an executive. He doesn't have either the background and experience or the natural skills of an executive," Giuliani told Fox News' "America's Newsroom"Friday. "There is nothing in this man's background to suggest that he could run the most complicated organization in the world."
Giuliani said when Obama took office, he hoped he would have "the natural talent" to lead effectively, but said the president has since shown "he doesn't have it." The president's temperament was suited, by instinct, to that of a "professor," Giuliani suggested.
"He's not decisive. He doesn't make decisions quickly. He doesn't seem to really surround himself with really good people, which means surrounding yourself with people who disagree with you," he said.
Not only was a president required to lead, he also needed to inspire, Giuliani maintained. Toward that end, he said President Obama was able to "affect the people who agree him."
The problems with the lack of President Obama's leadership are having effects throughout the world, Giuliani explained.
"If you look at the last five years, six years, in every significant area of the world, America is in a much worse position since President Obama has come into office," he said.
In addition to worsening relations with China and Russia, Giuliani said he had also seen effects in South America.
"I advise the South American governments on security. Our relationships with South America are much weaker and worse than they were before," he said.
