Guns Save Another!

From: RightToBear blog:

Craigslist Criminal Arranges “Perfect Crime” in Gun-Free Zone – But He Never Expected This…

Build Your Own AR-15 'Off The Books'?

If not for the quick thinking of a mall employee, a Pennsylvania man would have had his phone stolen (or worse) in the middle of a crowded mall.
A man who offered to sell his phone on Craigslist was approached by a buyer who wished to perform the transaction at the Stroud Mall in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
The two agreed to the Craigslist policies that suggest the purchase take place in a crowded public area. But that didn’t stop the would-be thief from attacking the seller and attempting to rob him.
Screen Shot 2014-06-20 at 9.53.25 AMThe unidentified seller probably wasn’t thinking that the decision to go to the Stroud Mall (which is a gun-free zone) would even be a factor when he went to sell his phone.
But the thief clearly knew it would be.
When the seller went to check his phone during the sale, the robber pulled out a stun gun and attacked the seller, managing to incapacitate the victim and steal the phone from him.
When a mall employee saw what was happening, he rapidly moved to protect the defenseless seller by pulling out his legally licensed firearm and instructing the thief to stop.
The thief instantly dropped the phone and abandoned the scene, fleeing with two unidentified accomplices in a red Subaru hatchback.
The crime was stopped, no one was hurt in the process, and not a single shot was fired.
What’s obvious was things could have been much worse. What if the robber wasn’t just intent on stealing the phone, but had even more wicked plans up his sleeve?
If not for the presence of a man with a gun, the crime would have been carried out without any resistance at all.
The mall employee wants no praise for his quick thinking. In fact as PA Homepagereported:
Police are not releasing the name of the man who stopped the robbery. He was carrying his gun legally and did not commit a crime. People who know him say he does not want to be identified because he is afraid he will lose his job for having a gun at work.
Regardless of what his employer may think, this mall employee is a hero to gun owners across the country.
