Nobody wants strangers traipsing upon their property and taking uninvited rests upon their backyard hammocks.
But it’s likely that residents in one Daytona Beach, Florida neighborhood won’t be getting in the face of the intruder who grabbed some R&R there earlier in the week.

Photographer Rafael Torres said he followed a black bear as it prowled the neighborhood and snapped a few photos, WESH-TV in Orlando reported.

Not that he got too close; Torres told WESH that he was about 60 feet away when he took the photographs. And the bear? It reportedly hung out in the hammock for 20 minutes before taking a powder in the woods around 8:15 p.m. Thursday.

“He got in the hammock like he was a tourist or something,” Vincent James, who owns the home and the hammock, told WESH. “Then something spooked him and he ran right back there. Then half an hour later I come back and I saw there he is in the hammock again.”

The bear reportedly has been seen a number of times since Wednesday. Residents said the bear was looking for food and tearing through a bird feeder and then trash cans.
