regarding the agency’s inability to police itself. It aims to ensure that sensitive State Department
computer networks undergo security changes to protect against hack attacks that officials
say occur “thousands of times a day,” some having breached internal networks.
“Conducting congressional oversight is critical to making Washington
more accountable, and a good place to start is at the scandal-ridden
State Department,”
Perdue said in a statement.
