Billionaire Saudi Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal made headlines last week when he criticized Donald Trump for his proposed temporary pause in Muslim immigration. However, it wasn’t long before The Donald struck back on social media, and in nine words, he managed to destroy the prince’s entire argument.
Like other Muslims who were angered by Trump’s words, Bin Talal took to social networking to respond to Trump. In a recent Twitter post, he called Trump ‘a disgrace not only to the GOP but to all America.’
The prince added:
“Withdraw from the U.S. presidential race as you will never win.”
However, Trump made a concise and brilliant comeback via Twitter:
“Has your country, Saudi Arabia, taken ANY of the Syrian refugees? If not, why not?”
While other countries throughout Europe and the Western world have taken in a great number of Syrian refugees, Saudi Arabia – a decidedly Muslim nation if there ever was one –has taken in zero.
And while the exact reason hasn’t been given by any of these countries, it’s pretty evident why they wouldn’t accept the refugees: Fears about terrorism. However, when Americans have those same fears, they’re somehow racist.
Do you agree with Trump’s comeback to the Saudi prince about why his country hasn’t taken in any of their Muslim brothers in need?
