Outraged Parents Demand Apology After Their Kids Are Forced to Watch THIS in Public School
The educators at Glen Allen High School in Virginia thought their students needed an education in ‘white guilt.’ Presumably because February is Black History month, it’s acceptable to promote this wacky notion.
The film was put together by the African American Policy Forum and aimed at elementary and secondary school students. The video itself shows white and black athletes in a race at what, at first, appears to be a normal track and field event.
But while white runners run the race as you might expect runners to do, the black runners were impeded by various roadblocks with labels such as genocide, slavery, and discrimination.
The Daily Mail reports that,
Don Blake, the grandfather of a student, said: ‘They are sitting there watching a video that is dividing them up from a racial standpoint. It’s a white guilt kind of video.’Kenny Manning, a student at Glen Allen High, told 8NEWS: ‘A lot of people thought it was offensive to white people and made them feel bad about being privileged.A statement released by the Henrico County Public School district said the video would no longer be used.It also said: ‘We are making every effort to respond to our community. It is our goal to prevent the recurrence of this type of event.
Do you think it would be unreasonable to ask how in the world this video managed to be approved and who was responsible?
What would you do if a video like this was shown to your children?
