MICHAEL MOORE IS FURIOUS THAT TRUMP IS GETTING THINGS DONE
There’s no greater endorsement of the president’s policy agenda
Michael Moore is furious that President Donald Trump is getting things done, asserting that it’s “utter denial” to claim otherwise.
With Trump approaching his first anniversary of being in office, some commentators on both the left and right have asserted that the president has achieved little, failing to build a wall and eliminate Obamacare.
However, others point to drastically reduced illegal immigration, the appointment of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court and the imminent tax cut to counter this narrative. Prototypes for the wall have also been unveiled, “the first tangible signs of progress on one of the central promises of his campaign,” according to CNBC.
Michael Moore thinks Democrats are kidding themselves if they think Trump hasn’t accomplished much of his agenda.
“It is utter denial is to keep repeating that Trump has been able to get little or nothing done. His Fed agencies have decimated this country,” he tweeted.
This rare moment of honesty seemed to go down like a lead balloon amongst Moore’s followers. It received only 1.3 thousand retweets compared to his following tweet, which was retweeted 14,000 times.
Many on the left were similarly keen to ignore the film maker when he warned that Trump would take Michigan and Wisconsin and win the election, despite the vast majority of pundits predicting a comfortable Hillary victory.
Moore’s anger that Trump is succeeding can be treated as an endorsement of the impact of the president’s policy agenda given how vehemently the leftist film maker has opposed Trump over the last year.
Back in February, Moore called for Trump to be arrested for “Russian collusion” and for Hillary to be installed as president.
He followed up in March with a call for Democrats to declare a “national emergency,” claiming that President Trump and his staff were guilty of “espionage”.
Moore has also compared Trump supporters to rapists and opined that American will be a “better country” when white people are a minority.
Is Michael Moore right? Is his fury at Trump’s progress a sign that the president is, despite intensive efforts by the political class and the deep state to derail his agenda, actually getting things done?
