Could Blue Wave Turn Into A Trickle Or Worse?

Nancy Pelosi terrified by shocking new poll (WOW!)

It’s starting to look like the so-called “blue wave” that’s supposed to sweep Democrats into power is turning into salty blue tears — and that’s very bad news for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who has staked her political future on winning the 2018 midterm elections.
The party, just months ago leading in major polls and plotting to take over BOTH houses of Congress, now stands on the brink of another humiliating defeat as Republican candidates take a lead in several key races.

Right now, the GOP holds a slim 51-47 lead in the Senate. Two independents who caucus with Democrats essentially turn it into a slim 51-49 split. With Sen. John McCain at home as he battles cancer, that makes it a razor-thin 50-49.
Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer have both been fantasizing about picking up two seats – just two – to allow them to become majority leaders and drive the left’s agenda in opposition to everything President Donald Trump says or does.
Now, it looks like that’s all it is: a fantasy.
With Democrats defending more seats than Republicans and in states that voted for Trump, they can’t afford to lose a single seat.

But right now, they’re on pace to lose at least THREE!
  • Florida: Rick Scott, a Republican, is looking to unseat Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.), and if the latest polls are any indication the Sunshine State is going to have a new senator next year. Scott is leading a new Axios/SurveyMonkey poll by 3 points, 49-46.The 75-year-old Nelson was leading in most polls until spring. Then, he hit a wall. Real Clear Politics has Scott leading in three of the last four polls, running ahead of Nelson by an average of 2 points.
  • North Dakota: It looks like Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.) is in a whole lot of trouble in this deep red state, where Rep. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.) is ahead by 5 points, 42-47, in the Axios/SurveyMonkey poll. There has been little polling of this race, but North Dakota is part of the core of Trump’s support. He won the state 63-27 over Hillary Clinton in 2016, making it an uphill battle for Heitkamp.
  • Indiana: Looks like the home state of Vice President Mike Pence is coming home for Republicans. Former Rep. Mike Braun (R-Ind.) is leading Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.) by two points, 49-47, in the Axios/SurveyMonkey poll.
That’s a close race, to be sure, but Indiana is another deep red state. Not only did Trump win handily, 57-38, in 2016, but he took seven of the state’s nine congressional districts. Donnelly has his work cut out for him.

Democrats are leading in races for two GOP-controlled seats, in Nevada and Arizona, although there is still plenty of time for Republicans to turn those races around.
However, even if they won those, the current polls show them losing the other three and barely holding in Missouri, where Sen. Claire McCaskill clings to 2-point lead over her Republican challenger, state Attorney General Josh Hawley.
That means instead of a 51-49 Senate, it would actually turn into 52-48 GOP majority… still not enough to overcome all forms of Democratic stonewalling, but more than enough to protect the conservative agenda.
In the House, it still seems likely that the Republicans will lose seats – but it’s looking less likely that it’ll change hands.

Just months ago, the TV talking heads were predicting a Democratic blowout would give them control over the chamber.
Now, a CBS News/YouGov tracking poll puts the odds at just 50/50.

Could Election Errors Flip Pennsylvania 18?

RIGGED!? 3 huge election “irregularities” reported in PA

Democratic candidate Conor Lamb’s victory in a conservative congressional district in Pennsylvania this month raised eyebrows among political experts — and Republican leaders think the election could have been decided by three major, unexplained “irregularities.”
In a closely watched U.S. House race where Lamb clings to a slender lead in the longtime GOP stronghold friendly to President Donald Trump, reports say the GOP is prepared to sue the State of Pennsylvania to find out the truth.

Specifically, Republicans are preparing a lawsuit over reports of three unexplained events.
Reports on social media that a judge had cancelled the results has turned out to be untrue. However, complaints that Republican party lawyers were banned from observing the counting of some absentee ballots, voting machines erroneously recorded votes from Lamb, and voters were confused by misinformation from the state elections website are all considered credible by party leaders. The GOP will also demand a recount.
“We’re actively investigating [these] instances and we’re likely to file court action on them,” a Republican insider reportedly told The Washington Free Beacon.
Additionally, county officials reported to The Associated Press that they’ve received a letter from a law firm demanding that they preserve their records.

With the last batch of absentee ballots counted, Lamb, a 33-year-old former prosecutor and first-time candidate, saw his edge over Republican Rick Saccone shrink to 627 votes out of more than 224,000 cast, according to unofficial results.
The four counties in the Pittsburgh-area district reported they had about 375 uncounted provisional, military and overseas ballots. They have seven days to count the provisional ballots, and the deadline to receive military and overseas ballots is Tuesday.
Saccone, a 60-year-old Air Force veteran turned state lawmaker and college instructor, hasn’t conceded. Saccone’s campaign said that the candidate had no plans to concede before vote counting was finished.
Trump won the district by about 20 percentage points in 2016, and the seat has been in Republican hands for the past 15 years. It was open now only because Republican Rep. Tim Murphy, who espoused strong anti-abortion views, resigned last fall amid revelations that he had asked a woman with whom he was having an extramarital affair to get an abortion.

Democrats must flip 24 GOP-held seats this fall to seize control of the House.
A White House spokesman last week warned against reading too much into the razor-thin outcome, saying Trump’s campaigning for Saccone “turned what was a deficit for the Republican candidate to what is essentially a tie.”

Trump's Fake News Awards Blow Up GOP Website--Another Achievement!

So many people wanted to see Trump’s ‘fake news awards,’ they crashed the GOP website

So many people wanted to see Trump’s ‘fake news awards,’ they crashed the GOP website

The highly anticipated “fake news awards” finally arrived via a tweet from President Trump, but there was so much interest that the website crashed under the traffic.

Here’s what happened:
Trump posted the list of the “award winners” on his twitter account – with more than 46 million followers.
The awards were posted at the GOP website, which quickly folded under the enormous demand from viewers.
“Tonight, www.gop.com saw more traffic than ever before. Even though the servers were scaled up, the interest was even greater than anticipated,” the GOP account tweeted.
“Traffic is off the charts,” they added. “Come back soon.”
Eventually, the website was restored after a few hours.
Here are some of the “fake news” winners from Trump’s ignominious list:
1. The New York Times’ Paul Krugman claimed on the day of President Trump’s historic, landslide victory that the economy would never recover.
2. ABC News’ Brian Ross CHOKES and sends markets in a downward spiral with false report.
3. CNN FALSELY reported that candidate Donald Trump and his son Donald J. Trump, Jr. had access to hacked documents from WikiLeaks.
4. TIME FALSELY reported that President Trump removed a bust of Martin Luther King, Jr. from the Oval Office.
5. Washington Post FALSELY reported the President’s massive sold-out rally in Pensacola, Florida was empty. Dishonest reporter showed picture of empty arena HOURS before crowd started pouring in.
6. CNN FALSELY edited a video to make it appear President Trump defiantly overfed fish during a visit with the Japanese prime minister. Japanese prime minister actually led the way with the feeding.
The president also listed some of his accomplishments to contrast with the “fake news” winners:
1. The economy has created nearly 2 million jobs and gained over $8 trillion in wealth since the President’s inauguration.
2. African Americans and Hispanics are enjoying the lowest unemployment rate in recorded history.
3. The President signed historic tax cuts and relief for hardworking Americans not seen since President Reagan.
4. President Trump’s plan to cut regulations has exceeded “2 out for every 1 in” mandate, issuing 22 deregulatory actions for every one new regulatory action.
5. The President has unleashed an American energy boom by ending Obama-era regulations, approving the Keystone pipeline, auctioning off millions of new acres for energy exploration, and opening up ANWR.
6. ISIS is in retreat, having been crushed in Iraq and Syria.
The president had made it a cornerstone of his election campaign to attack the media with the label “fake news,” and continued his derision after winning the election. The media has pushed back but has been criticized by many for their bias against the president and Republicans more broadly.
Here’s a video from Fox News about the awards:
