Parkland Students Give Out Inaccurate, Uninformed Information. Are You Getting Sick Of Hearing From Them?

Parkland Student Calls For Confiscation Of All Semi-Automatic Firearms

On Sunday, the most recognizable far-left activist from Parkland, Florida, called for the confiscation of all semi-automatic weapons from American society in the wake of a shooting in Tennessee.
Reacting to the shooting at a Waffle House in Tennessee in which several people were shot, far-left activist Emma González immediately attacked the NRA and Smith & Wesson Corp.
After several tweets, González called for the confiscation of all semi-automatic firearms, writing: "Removing the assault and semi-automatic weapons from our Civilian society, instituting thorough background checks and mandatory waiting periods (and raising the buying age and banning the production of high-capacity magazines) are the ways to stop shootings in America."

(4/4) Removing the assault and semi-automatic weapons from our Civilian society, instituting thorough background checks and mandatory waiting periods (and raising the buying age and banning the production of high-capacity magazines) are the ways to stop shootings in America.
González then falsely claimed that mass shootings do not happen in other countries, despite the fact that the worst mass shootings in world history have all happened outside the United States.

The FBI defines a mass shooting as 4 people killed (not including the shooter). Mass shootings occur in churches, in schools, at concerts, in waffle houses - just about anywhere. Except in other countries. https://twitter.com/cnnbrk/status/988032934337744896

Meet 29-year-old James Shaw Jr. He was at a Waffle House in Antioch, Tennessee, early Sunday morning when a deranged killer opened fire with an “assault-style” weapon, killing four people and injuring at least another seven.
And he’s being credited with saving numerous lives.

What did he do?

According to the Tennessean, Shaw arrived to the Waffle House around 3:20 a.m., just minutes before shots rang out. He was with a group of friends who had just left a fraternity party.
When the killer opened fire in the restaurant, Shaw reportedly hid in the bathroom and watched the killer’s movements. He says he felt cornered.
“I remember I was like ‘Dang, I’m basically in a barrel.’ There is no place for me to go,” he said.
But once the killer stopped firing to reload, Shaw knew he had to act. So he engaged the killer with his bare hands and wrestled him to the ground, where he was able to strip the firearm from the killer and throw it behind the bar.
“When he came in, I distinctively remember thinking that he is going to have to work for this kill. I had a chance to stop him and thankfully I stopped him,” Shaw said.
“I grabbed the gun and kept it down. He had one hand on it. I pulled it away and threw it over the bar,” he explained.
The confrontation forced the killer outside, where he walked away. Shaw said he didn’t follow the man over fears he had another gun. Shaw then flagged down drivers to phone 911, according to the Tennessean.
Shaw is being celebrated as a hero all across social media, but he told the Tennessean he doesn’t much feel like one.
“I don’t really know, when everyone said that [of being a hero], it feels selfish. I was just trying to get myself out. I saw the opportunity and pretty much took it,” he said. “While I was in hospital, a girl that was there said you saved my life. I didn’t do it to be hero.”
However, police said there is “no doubt he saved many lives.”

Was Shaw injured?

Yes. He suffered a minor injury to his elbow, in addition to other minor abrasions, according to the Tennessean. He was treated and released from a local hospital by 7:30 a.m.

Four people were murdered and at least seven others were injured when a gunman opened fire inside a Tennessee Waffle House early Sunday morning, according to the Tennessean.

Here’s everything we know:

  • The killing began around 3:23 a.m. CST in Antioch, a town south of Nashville.
  • The killer used an “assault-style” weapon, according to police.
  • The killer exited his vehicle, where he immediately murdered two people outside the Waffle House. He then entered the Waffle House and continued to fire, where he murdered two more people and wounded numerous others.
  • The shooting only ceased thanks to the heroics of one diner, who hid in the restaurant’s bathroom and monitored the killer. Once he saw the opportunity, he sprung into action and rushed the murderer. The man was able to wrestle the gun away, causing the murderer the flee the scene.
  • Police identified the killer as a 29-year-old man from Illinois who lived in an apartment complex near the restaurant. He was reportedly naked when he opened fire in the restaurant. He remains at-large.
  • So far the motive for the shooting appears to be random, CNN reported.

Here’s the at-large shooter:

Police last said the suspected killer was seen wearing pants and no shirt. They have drafted warrants for him, presumably to search his vehicle and home.

What did police say?

“Keep your doors locked, keep your eyes open. If you see this individual — if you see a nude guy walking around this morning — call the police department immediately,” Metro Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron said, according to CNN.
Regarding the heroic customer who engaged the shooter, Aaron said there is “no doubt he saved many lives by wrestling the gun away and then tossing it over the counter, and prompting the man to leave.”

Did police already know of the suspect?

Unfortunately, yes, according to the Tennessean. Aaron said federal and local investigators were aware of him “due to previous interactions.”

Democrats Are Mostly Against Gun Ownership, Yet Guns Save Lives Every Day

Armed Citizen Takes Out Robber

at Waffle House

October 12, 2015 3:18 pm
To a liberal, guns are pretty much the root of all evil, especially in light of the mass shootings —
which have mostly happened in lefty “gun free zones” by the way — that have been springing up
over the last few years, which have inspired the president to attempt violating the Constitution
by superseding Congress to enact gun control, which then also violates the Second Amendment.
Loony leftists think firearms magically pick themselves up, aim, and take out targets of their
choice, all without outside help from wackadoos with a few screws loose in their brain cavities.
Therefore, since progressives absolutely love to make huge blanket statements, all guns are
 bad, mmmkay.
What these knuckleheads miss is the fact that when a law abiding citizen exercises their
Second Amendment rights properly, a weapon in the right hands actually saves lives.
Which is exactly what happened at this Waffle House in Charleston, South Carolina.
A Waffle House customer with a legally concealed weapon saved the day by shooting

an armed robber at a Waffle House in North Charleston, South Carolina.
The customer, who remains unidentified, opened fire on the armed suspect around

5 a.m. Saturday morning, according to The Post and Courier. The suspect, who

police have also not named, was rushed to the hospital where he died from his wounds.
The customer’s decision to use force drew praise from employees. “He saved us

, that’s what he did,” a Waffle House employee said.
A police officer at the scene spoke out saying what the customer did is an example of
how guns, when rightly used, can be life savers.
“It’s says something about firearms, for good people with firearms being in the

right hands.”
This sort of thing is exactly why the Second Amendment exists. Our Founding Fathers
recognized that we need to be able to defend ourselves against tyrannical government,
as well as crazed criminals looking to deprive us of life, liberty, and property.
In their wisdom, they crafted this amendment in the Bill of Rights to ensure we have the
means of putting down robbers who might try to hurt us or those around us.
Without the use of a firearm in the hands of a properly trained individual, who knows
what might have happened at this restaurant.
Police are not a crime prevention organization, though they certainly try to do the best
they can. No, cops can’t be everywhere at once, so the only hope one has of achieving
some level of reasonable safety is to be armed.
This is why we must continue to fight for our right to own a firearm and keep ourselves
safe from the crazies in the world.

Can We Assume That Waffle House Does Not Allow Police Officers In Uniform To Come Into Their Restaurants? Sounds Like A Great Place To Rob!!!

After Ordering Food, Uniformed Soldier Says He Was Waived Over by Waffle House Waitress. Moments Later, He Was Walking Out the Door.

A National Guard soldier said he was refused service at a Waffle House in Kentucky because he was carrying a gun.
Billy Welch said he went to the restaurant early Sunday morning in Nicholasville, Kentucky, wearing his military uniform with a gun holstered to his side. Shortly after ordering his food, Welch said a server and a manager signaled for him to come over, and that’s when they told him that he would need to leave his firearm outside, WLEX-TV reported.

Welch said he told them, “Thank you, but no thank you. I’m gonna have to leave.”
“You know, if I can’t have my firearm, then I can’t be here,” Welch said. “I don’t feel comfortable taking my firearm away from me. I always keep it with me.”
Welch wasn’t seeking to publicize the controversy but one witness took to Facebook to share what happened and to stand up for the National Guardsman.
“I have a bunch of family members and friends who have been active military and in the military and retired and it hurts my feelings when people disrespect them,” Micaela Shaw told WLEX.
Welch said the employees told him that “it’s one of our policies” that none of its customers carry firearms, which the owner of that particular Waffle House later confirmed.
“For many years we have had a ‘no firearms’ policy in place in our restaurants. We continue to believe this is the best policy for the safety of our customers and associates,” the owner said.
