Bernie Sanders's former press secretary is an illegal immigrant – who's now
in the process of being deported after her recent arrest in Washington,
 D.C.

Erika Andiola, who worked for Sanders' 2016 presidential campaign as the
press secretary for Hispanic media, was arrested on Friday. Capitol Hill Police
hauled her, six other illegal immigrants, and one "ally" after they staged a

sit-in at the office of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY). Their
protest was in response to the repeal of President Obama's Deferred Action
for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

Andiola, a native of Mexico, posted on Facebook and Twitter shortly after her
arrest about refusal to cooperate with law enforcement.

She wrote: "I am still in police custody after being released last night at
@SenSchumer's office demanding he proves his claim to support
Dreamers by organizing his caucus to block any spending deal that does
not include a clean #DreamAct. I am refusing to cooperate and will remain
in jail at risk of deportation... until he meets this demand."

The group of Dreamers is now engaging in a hunger strike. They're hoping
that their actions will push Schumer into fighting harder for the DREAM Act –
which would give legal status to illegal immigrants who were brought to the
United States as children – before Congress votes on the next spending bill
on December 22.

However, despite Schumer's strong language in support of the DREAM Act
back in September, he's not indicated that he's willing to initiate a
government shutdown to guarantee the DREAM Act.

If A DACA Person Has A Conviction, They Should Be Deported.

Arrest Record Puts Activist DREAMer on ‘Priority’ Deportation List

An illegal immigration activist who became a poster-child for the open borders lobby is now facing deportation to Mexico.

Activist Jessica Colotl has been notified by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) that her protected status under the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program had been revoked, according to FOX 5 Atlanta.
Colotl’s attorney gave FOX 5 a document signed by officials with ICE which stated that her revoked DACA status was “Due to respondent’s criminal history,” citing that “she is an enforcement priority…”
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is now requesting that an immigration judge deport Colotl back to Mexico, the country where she came from when she was 10-years-old.
ICE officials cited that Colotl’s prioritized deportation was mainly because of her arrest record, where in 2010 she was taken into custody after driving without a license and for being in the U.S. illegally. Officials also said Colotl made a false statement to police at the time.
“Jessica Colotl, an unlawfully present Mexican national, admitted guilt to a felony charge in august 2011 of making a false statement to law enforcement in Cobb County, Georgia,” the statement from ICE to FOX 5 stated. “Under federal law, her guilty plea is considered a felony conviction for immigration purposes.”
While open borders attorney Charles Kuck said he has never seen a DACA recipient have their protected status revoked because of a criminal charge, Breitbart Texas has reported on President Donald Trump’s Administration’s subtle changes to DACA.
Leaving the lax enforcement measures of the Obama Administration behind, Trump is seeking the deportation of almost every illegal immigrant who is charged with a crime, as Breitbart Texas reported.
Trump, though, has yet to shutter DACA, despite calls from pro-American immigration advocates and voters to end the program.
Back in 2010, Colotl became the face for the amnesty legislation known as the ‘DREAM Act,’ which ultimately failed to make it through Congress. At the time, CNN gave the illegal immigrant a glowing profile with the help of the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center, claiming her arrest was part of a “civil rights disaster.”

Illegal Alien Arrests Nab MS13 Gang Members

Nationwide ICE sweep arrests DREAMers, MS-13 gang members

An operation by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement resulted in the largest arrest of suspected gang members by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) to date, including some illegal immigrants who had previously been recipients of “Dream Act” deportation deferrals.
The ICE social media account lauded the anti-gang results Thursday with a link to a statement about the operation.

The six-week operation ran from March 26 to May 6, and nabbed 1,378 suspected gang members, including more than 100 members of the MS-13 gang, the crime organization specifically targeted by the Department of Justice. Of those, 8 had reportedly crossed the border illegally as minors.
“Of the 1,378 total arrested,” the statement read, “1,098 were arrested on federal and/or state criminal charges, including 21 individuals arrested on murder related charges and seven for rape and sexual assault charges. The remaining 280 were arrested on administrative immigration violations.
“Of the total arrested,” it read, “933 were U.S. citizens and 445 were foreign nationals from 21 countries in South and Central America, Asia, Africa, Europe and the Caribbean.
“Three individuals arrested during this operation previously had deferred action under DACA [Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals],” ICE said. “Aliens granted DACA who are found to pose a threat to national security or public safety may have their deferred action terminated at any time and the Department of Homeland Security may seek their removal from the United States. Since the start of DACA in 2012, DHS has terminated deferred action for approximately 1,500 recipients due to criminality or gang affiliation concerns.”
ICE reported that 1,095 of those arrested were confirmed gang members or affiliates.
U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions has made it clear that it was a mission of the Trump administration to hunt down dangerous gang members and deport them if they are illegally in the United States.
“When we talk about MS-13 and the cartels, what do we mean?” Sessions asked in a speech in April. “We mean international criminal organizations that turn cities and suburbs into war-zones, that rape and kill innocent citizens and who profit by smuggling poison and other human beings across our borders. Depravity and violence are their calling cards, including brutal machete attacks and beheadings.”

Illegal Immigrant Children Have Grown Up To Do Adult Crime

Sheriff on Obama’s Dreamers: ‘Now they are adults committing serious felonies’

If the Obama administration doesn’t begin addressing its weak immigration policy, every county in the nation will soon be a “border county.”
That’s according to Sheriff Charles Jenkins of Frederick County, Md., who testified before Congress Tuesday about the immigration-related problems faced by U.S. communities situated far from the nation’s southern border.
“Open borders, reckless sanctuary policies, and failure to enforce our immigration laws have greatly impacted public safety and national security throughout every jurisdiction of this country,” he said. “Every single day, more Americans are becoming victims of senseless crimes, being injured and killed by criminal aliens, many are transnational gang members.”
Jenkins told the Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security that his community, situated just 40 miles from Washington D.C., has made great strides in clamping down on illegal immigration related crime with the help of DHS 287g program that allows local law enforcement to enforce immigration laws.
“We have very effectively built a wall around Frederick County, given the fact that most surrounding jurisdictions do nothing or very little to cooperate with ICE,” the sheriff said.
Unfortunately, Jenkins said, keeping immigration crime down is getting harder in his community because the Obama administration has done its best to hamper local police immigration enforcement efforts.
“Since 2008, this Administration has weakened immigration enforcement by dismissing deportation cases, rescinding 287g agreements, encouraging sanctuary policies, and watering down detainer policies…
“Case by case amnesty, back door amnesty, DACA programs, and the Dream Act were pushed through by executive order,” Jenkins said.
He that “aliens that should have been deported have been allowed to remain and commit more serious crimes” thanks to Obama’s actions.
The Maryland sheriff said another consequence of Obama immigration policies, specifically the Dream Act, is a huge increase in gang violence.
According to Jenkins, a remarkable 65 percent of the criminal alien gang members his department dealt with last year initially came to the U.S. as unaccompanied minors.
“Now they are adults committing serious felonies,” Jenkins said.

President Barack Obama is finding it "hard to take seriously" calls by Texas Republican Gov. Rick Perry and a host of other Republican lawmakers that he drop his Deferred Action Plan for Childhood Arrivals.

"That's not going to happen," White House press secretary Josh Earnest said, The Hillreports.

Gov. Perry also called for the stoppage of foreign aid to Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras in an interview on Fox, The Hill reports, saying, "I would suggest the diplomatic reach with foreign aid to the leaders of those countries and basically say, 'You will engage in stopping this traffic coming up through your country, and if you don't, this foreign aid is going to stop.' That is a boycott I could support."

Rep. Darrell Issa and 32 other Republican lawmakers have called on President Obama to cancel the 2012 Deferred Action Program in light of the unprecedented crisis that has seen more than 52,000 unaccompanied minors from Mexico and other countries such as Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras flood the U.S. border since October.

Earnest charged that Republican critics "would rather play politics than try to address some of these problems," The Hill reports.

"I think the most effective way that Governor Perry can help, if that's what he says he wants to do, would be to pick up the phone and call the Republican members of the House of Representatives that represent the state of Texas and tell them to support the bipartisan proposal to reform our immigration system that passed through the Senate."

Gov. Perry told Fox he has called on President Obama to visit the border during an upcoming trip to Texas, and added that if he did not, it would be a "real reflection of his lack of concern of what's really going on there.

"If the president of the United States is really serious about securing that border, we can show him how to do that. But I haven't even had a phone call from this President," Gov. Perry told Fox, according to The Hill.

The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals was a 2012 memorandum issued by the Obama administration after failure to achieve passage of the controversial DREAM Act for undocumented minors.

While many Republicans blame Deferred Action for encouraging and, therefore, causing the border crisis by giving the impression that undocumented children will be allowed to stay in the U.S., The Hill reports Earnest stated, "Parents should not put their children in the hands of criminals to transport them to the Southwest border with the expectation that they'll be welcomed into the country. They won't."

In an opinion piece in the Dallas Morning NewsSen. John Cornyn, Texas Republican, noted, "Drug and gang related violence in Central America has been a major problem for many years. But the massive spike in illegal immigration by Central American children didn't start until 2012 — the same year Obama announced his deferred action program."

Obama Violates His Constitutional Mandates Takes UnConstitituional Actions

Counting Down Obama’s Worst Executive Actions

March 3, 2014 by
 152 39

Last week, The Heritage Foundation put together a handy list of President Barack Obama’s most flagrant abuses of his pen and his phone.
Arguing that Obama has willfully set aside the Constitutional separation of powers in order to accomplish agenda items actions in unprecedentedly ambitious ways, Heritage starts at the bottom with the DOJ’s refusal, under Obama, to enforce standing Federal drug laws in States where marijuana has been made legal — and works its way to the top with Obamacare’s many examples of selective enforcement.
Here’s its top 10 ranking of Obama’s most unConsititutional executive actions… so far.
  1. Amending Obamacare’s employer mandate, providing an unauthorized subsidy to congressional staff, and encouraging state insurance commissioners not to enforce certain requirements.
  2. Inventing labor law “exemptions” in violation of the WARN Act so that workers would not receive notice of impending layoffs days before the 2012 election.
  3. Waiving the mandatory work requirement under the 1996 comprehensive welfare reform law, which required able-bodied adults to work, prepare for work, or look for work in order to receive benefits under the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program.
  4. Ignoring a statutory deadline and refusing to consider an application related to nuclear waste storage at Yucca Mountain, which activists sought to block for years.
  5. Circumventing the Senate’s duty to provide advice and consent on appointments and instead making “recess” appointments in violation of Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution when the Senate was actually in session.
  6. Deciding not to defend the constitutionality of the federal definition of marriage in court.
  7. Implementing Common Core national standards through strings-attached waivers from the No Child Left Behind Act.
  8. Intimidating Florida to stop its voter roll cleanup, which included removing ineligible voters such as noncitizens, before the 2012 election.
  9. Imposing the DREAM Act by executive fiat under the guise of “prosecutorial discretion.”
  10. Refusing to enforce federal drug laws in states that have legalized marijuana.
A note on No.10: It’s great that States have given their voters a choice on the marijuana issue. But the Obama Administration’s blind eye to marijuana enforcement in those States — which Federal law still very much prescribes — outs Obama’s hypocrisy over his relentless series of end runs to continue propping up the enforcement of the preclearance requirement of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 — a measure which the Supreme Court has unequivocally decided in the States’ favor.
