The parents of FrontPage Magazine Managing Editor Jamie Glazov were Christian dissidents in Leonid Brezhnev’s Soviet Union. The family fled the country in 1972, when Jamie was still a young boy, and thought they had left the USSR’s radical left-wing ideology behind forever.

Until now.

“I will tell you that we escaped the Soviet Union, but today the Soviet Union has come to us,” Glazov said in a May 2 speech at the 2015 Eagle Forum of California State Conference at Calvary Chapel Church in Costa Mesa. “And it’s very frightening, it’s depressing, it’s very, very scary for my family and for all of us to see what’s happening to the West.”

Since the fall of Soviet communism, Islam has become the top threat to America and the West, said Glazov. But it’s hard for anyone to speak up and condemn Islamic violence without being called a bigot.

“This is what is so frightening: When ISIS attacks, when Boko Haram attacks the little girls, when al-Qaida does what it’s doing, for some reason we have to go: ‘We’re sorry. We’re not racist. We’re not Islamophobic,’” Glazov told the audience.

He said the left has strangely reversed the roles of victim and perpetrator. The former Soviet emigrant pointed to the town of Rotherham, England, which suffered through an estimated 1,400 cases of sexual assault by Pakistani Muslim rape gangs from 1997 to 2013.

Most of the victims were young white girls. Rather than dealing with the crimes, local police and politicians covered them up for years, because they were afraid of being called racist.

Glazov charged that all those girls were sacrificed on the altar of “utopian leftist ideals.” He sees the Rotherham epidemic as analogous to some of history’s worst totalitarian slaughters.

“For the sake of this leftist philosophy, Stalinism happened, Maoism happened, Khmer Rouge happened, and now the killing fields in the United Kingdom, where Muslim rape gangs are reading the Quran, reading the Hadith, which justify kidnapping and raping the [non-Muslim women], and they’re doing it,” Glazov said.

“And we’re not allowed to say anything because, the way the left has shaped the discourse is, if we try to save the victims of Islamic gender apartheid, we’re racist.”

Glazov pointed out that no one in the establishment media ever says “Islam,” plain and simple, is the problem. They all blame “radical Islam” or “extremist radical Islam.” But they ignore that the Quran justifies heinous sex crimes against innocent women.

“Have you watched one program where they said, ‘Why have a million English girls been kidnapped and raped by Muslim rape gangs?’” Glazov asked. “And when did you ever see a guest like (Jihad Watch Director) Robert Spencer be invited and say: ‘Because of Sura 4:3 in the Quran. That’s why. And that’s why ISIS and Boko Haram point to that verse and all the other verses every time.’ But we’re not allowed to tell the truth.”

Those who criticize Islam for its barbaric practices are often derided as Islamophobic hatemongers, but Glazov argued nothing could be further from the truth.

“When you tell the truth about Islam, and when you tell the truth about what it teaches about slavery and subjugation of the kafir, you’re actually a loving human being who is supporting human rights and you also love Muslim people,” he said. “Because Muslim people are the victims of their totalitarian ideology.”

However, the left is winning the messaging war on Islam, and Glazov says it’s because they are loudly presenting their arguments in the public square while conservatives have mostly refused to put up a fight.

“You see, the left has an advantage,” Glazov informed the Eagle Forum audience. “The left has a religious mission. It’s just a secular religion. They’ve rejected God, but it’s a religious zeal, and they’re fighting 24/7.”

What is the “secular religion” that drives the left? According to Glazov, it’s the utopian vision of equality. He said the left’s goal is to create a “perfect” world where everyone is equal and all individual differences disappear.

Glazov showed the parallels between Islamic society and such a leftist utopia in his 2009 book, “United in Hate.” He pointed to the similarities between the unisex uniforms worn in Maoist China and the shapeless coverings worn by many Muslims. Both of them, he claimed, were designed to reinforce sameness and submission.

Just like communists of yesterday and Muslims of today, modern leftists don’t like individualism, according to Glazov, because it produces inequality. So, to achieve their perfect society, they need to eliminate individualism, and to do that, they need to restrict freedom.

“When there’s still freedom, there’s always going to be ‘inequality,’” Glazov told the audience. “The left hates that. It wants to destroy America. It wants to destroy Israel. It wants to destroy the free world because it hates individualism. It hates freedom because of what happens when there is freedom.”

Glazov said it’s important for conservatives to pay attention to what leftists in the media are saying. Refusing to listen to the propaganda is not the same as standing up for traditional values, he claimed.

“Conservatives believe that if they cancel their cable, they’re fighting the culture war,” he scolded. “You don’t get off the field during a football game and think you’re going to win it.”

Glazov suggested some ways conservatives can win. Borrowing from conservative writer David Horowitz, the founder and editor of FrontPage Magazine, he said conservatives must stop responding to leftist attacks with only appeals to reason.

“What David Horowitz is saying is take the leftist tactics and use it against them, and start fighting culture war,” Glazov implored the crowd. “Point to the suffering that they’ve caused. Take the moral high ground. Stop always being afraid of being called names and start calling names back.”

Glazov also urged conservatives to create their own cultural content, including movies and TV programs, to try and take back the culture. It does no good to ignore what leftists are saying and doing, he said, because then conservatives will never know how leftists are succeeding.

The proud immigrant told the audience he gets frustrated when he posts examples of leftist bias from CNN or MSNBC on his Facebook page and people reply with something like, “Why do you even watch that?”

Glazov gave his answer.

“Because I study the enemy and want to know what he is doing so I can crush him,” he exclaimed. “I’m an immigrant fighting for this country. When are Americans going to get off the couch and fight for this country, too?”

Instead of insisting that Muslims in Britain renounce polygamy (sanctioned by Qur’an 4:3), the beating of disobedient women (sanctioned by Qur’an 4:34), and the inequality in inheritance rights (sanctioned by Qur’an 4:11), the self-deluded dhimmis allowed all these things and more to be brought into the country, and normalized via the Sharia courts.

A Peer is calling for a judge-led inquiry into Sharia courts, in a revealing new report on discrimination against Muslim women across Britain.

In the report, Baroness Cox also outlines the provisions of her Private Members’ Bill, which would curb the growth of quasi-legal systems such as Sharia courts, in England and Wales.

She is seeking to re-introduce the Bill in the next session of Parliament.

Abuse

Her report, published by conservative think-tank The Bow Group, refers to Sharia court policies on inheritance, polygamy, access to divorce and domestic violence that have adversely affected British Muslim women.

The report includes testimonies from women who have been subjected to various forms of abuse, including one woman who said: “I feel betrayed by Britain. I came here to get away from this and the situation is worse here than in the country I escaped from”.

According to the report, many Muslim women can be left unaware of their legal rights or feel under pressure not to seek professional help that could bring ‘shame’ or ‘dishonour’ on their families or communities.

‘Coercion’

Baroness Cox said: “We cannot continue with the present situation where vulnerable women are suffering from coercion, intimidation or unfairness.”

She welcomed Theresa May’s commitment to conduct an “independent review” of Sharia courts, but warned “it is imperative that such measures are not so broadly defined that they catch innocent behaviour or impact on people’s religious liberties”.

Instead, she is calling for an independent judge-led inquiry into Sharia courts….

In reply to the outburst over the beheading of British aid worker Alan Henning, the Islamic State has released a five point explanation, especially meant for the Muslims to justify the brutal killing.
The five reasons aim to lay down an explanation based on Islamic principles to “guide the permissibility of killing the Prisoners.”
Using views and opinions laid down by Islamic scholars, the ISIS statement tries to clarify to its followers that as per the Islamic dictates it has the right to behead or do what it wants with its prisoners.
The Sunni militant group that has taken control of several parts of Syria and Iraq wants to establish an Islamic State governed purely on principles of Sharia law.

The ISIS guide tells the “faithful” on how to reply to those who say that prisoners in Islam are not killed but rather shown compassion.
The first argument notes that all Mushrik (anyone who worship any other God other than Allah, which includes the Shias, Yazidis, the Kurds) can neither be granted amnesty nor be ransomed off. Quoting a passage from Surah Al-Anfal (The Spoils of War), it says: “Punish them severely in order to disperse those who are behind them, so that they may learn a lesson.”

The second argument states the reason that a “kufaar” (including Jews and Christians) has to be killed is that if they are not killed, they will later return and pose a threat to Islam.

The third argument is that until and unless a prisoner says subhaanahu wa ta’ala, he can neither be shown generosity and freed without ransom nor be set free after paying a ransom.
The fourth is that amnesty and ransom are possible only after the killing of a large number. So if a captive was imprisoned after that, the Imam has a choice to kill him or (do) otherwise.
The fifth argument is that the Imam or someone acting on his behalf can choose between killing, amnesty, ransom or enslaving the prisoner.

A video is circulating of what is identified to be an Iraqi official interrogating an ISIS terrorist who carried out seven beheadings. The interrogator asks the detainee about his forced recruiting into ISIS and the graphic acts that ensued.

The terrorist reveals yet another dark side to the Islamic State: sadistic acts of sodomy.

Shoebat.com translates that the recruit was one of eleven men who were ravaged by the ISIS “prince.”

He describes the leader as having a henna-dyed beard and slim figure, believed to be terrorist commander Abu Ala’.

Ala’ made a fatwa permitting himself to marry and rape his recruits, just as countless kidnapped women and girls are raped by their Islamist captives. The only exception is that none of the men may sodomize him in return.

The testimony aligns with a documentary broadcast by a Kurdish television station in August that claimed ISIS has been raping men in a ceremony it describes as “marriage,” recording the act as blackmail to force them to join.

The STERK station recorded the confessions of more than 20 ISIS insurgents:

The ISIL elements admitted that what they called ‘marriage’ was in fact rape. They said that every new member of the group was raped. The footage of the rape would be used as blackmail in the event of the new recruit refusing to participate in actions .

ISIS fighter Abdul Kareem Ibrahim Bazo explained that he was blindfolded before being raped:

“About a fortnight later they came and said I had to join. I did not want to. But they had the footage. They threatened to show it to my family .

“I fainted. When I came round they told me: ‘you are now with ISIL.'”

“They ‘married’ me 15 times. Then they washed my head and put cologne on me. They told me no one could join ISIL without being married.”

This sickening abuse of power is just one of the many perverse tactics ISIS justifies with the Quran and hadiths.

As Americans continue to try to understand how Iraq, a nation the U.S. occupied for more than a decade, is so rapidly becoming a playground for brutal Islamic extremists, defense and intelligence experts say that an American response to the extremist threat will be difficult to formulate because the necessary intel is lacking.

U.S. officials realize that the Islamic threat currently growing in Iraq could have direct implications for U.S. security, a notion demonstrated by the Navy’s mobilization of the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush and two other U.S. Navy ships to the Persian Gulf Sunday. But as lawmakers and pundits discuss the prospect of a U.S. airstrikes with the goal of stalling the forward advances of brutal militants in the nation aligned with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), top defense experts say that the recent rapid withdrawal of U.S. forces from key Iraqi assets makes it almost impossible to discern where the strikes are needed the most.

If forces inadvertently strike areas of Iraq where large-scale collateral damage is possible with minimal success in weakening the ISIS threat, there is a risk that the bombing could make matters worse in the country by making it easier for ISIS to radicalize Iraqis who were formerly possible U.S. allies.

“We don’t have boots on ground providing intelligence and we don’t have confidence in information that the Iraqi government provides, because they’ve [been] so heavy-handed in the use of force against Sunni villages,” Representative Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), a senior member of the House Intelligence Committee, explained to The Daily Beast.

One fact that officials in the U.S. have not been overly excited to note, however, is that the United States’ national security apparatus has been aware of the growing ISIS threat for years.

With just a few thousand fighters, the group’s lightning sweep into Mosul and farther south appeared to catch many Iraqi and American officials by surprise. But the gains were actually the realization of a yearslong strategy of state-building that the group itself promoted publicly.

The Times’ article goes on to note the existence of several pieces of ISIS propaganda, including a 2007 pamphlet that cited “trends in globalization as well as the Quran in challenging modern notions of statehood as having absolute control over territory.”

In other words, ISIS leaders believe that the actions they’re currently carrying out in Iraq could be similarly reproduced throughout the entire world. And reports indicate that the brutal extremists are already laying the groundwork to challenge the Western world’s power to defend itself.

Police in Spain on Monday said that they have detained as many as eight people in connection with an ISIS-linked terror cell led by a former Guantanamo detainee.

“It should be highlighted that the leader of this cell lived in Spain after passing through the Guantanamo military base, having been arrested in Afghanistan in 2001,” the Spanish ministry said, according to AFP.

The danger that similar cells are being formed in the United States is real, according to many officials watching the situation unfold in Iraq.

Sharia in America: Democrats and Muslim Legislators seek to criminalize free speech

There is very dangerous legislation making its way through both the House of Representatives and Senate that will finish the United States. The sharia bill calls for Islamic blasphemy laws — the criminalization of speech that offends or insults — who, exactly? Well, that is up to the enforcer, is it not?

On Wednesday, Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) introduced “The Hate Crime Reporting Act of 2014″ (S.2219), which seeks “to examine the prevalence of hate crime and hate speech on the Internet, television, and radio to better address such crimes.” Congressman Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) introduced a companion bill in the House – H.R. 3878.

Yes, we see, Hakeem. The first amendment protects all speech, not just speech that we like. Or else who would decide what’s good and what’s forbidden? Hakeem? When I was a young girl, the Nazis were given permission to march in a predominately Jewish neighborhood. In those days, Nazi meant something. Morality was still very much in the American DNA. Good and evil was understood — unlike today, where the left has banished such terms. Despite the horror of a Nazi march, they were given permission, and those of us who were repelled by such a monstrous action understood why permission was granted  because of the underlying premise — free speech. I didn’t worry that their Nazi ideas would take hold, as long as I could speak and others could speak in the free exchange of ideas. I knew I would win because my ideas were better. Individual rights was the greatest achievement of the enlightened.

Now we are here. Our free speech is threatened by islamic supremacists and their Democrat lapdogs under the guise of “hate speech.” The old “hate speech” canard. They will package this revolution against freedom in a pretty package — and will use the Max Blumenthal-inspired racist murderer,  Glenn Miller. But do not be fooled.

It’s bad enough they have all but blacklisted the voices of freedom from media, political and national discourse. Shouting into the wilderness is not freedom of speech.

What next? Burning books? Perhaps just as long as it’s not the quran. And yet there is more hate speech in the quran than in Mein Kampf.

Boston (April 16, 2014) – Senator Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.), a member of the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee, introduced legislation to examine the prevalence of hate crime and hate speech on the Internet, television, and radio to better address such crimes. The Hate Crime Reporting Act of 2014 (S.2219) would create an updated comprehensive report examining the role of the Internet and other telecommunications in encouraging hate crimes based on gender, race, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation and create recommendations to address such crimes.

In 1992, then-Rep. Markey, through the Telecommunications Authorization Act, directed the National Telecommunications and Information Administration to examine the role of telecommunications in encouraging hate crimes. Senator Markey’s legislation will provide a comprehensive updated report on the current prevalence of hate crimes and hate speech in telecommunications, as the last report was conducted and submitted to Congress over two decades ago, in December 1993. Congressman Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) introduced a companion bill in the House of Representatives, H.R. 3878.

“We have recently seen in Kansas the deadly destruction and loss of life that hate speech can fuel in the United States, which is why it is critical to ensure the Internet, television and radio are not encouraging hate crimes or hate speech that is not outside the protection of the First Amendment,” said Senator Markey. “Over 20 years have passed since I first directed the NTIA to review the role that telecommunications play in encouraging hate crimes. My legislation would require the agency to update this critical report for the 21st century.”

“The Internet has proven to be a tremendous platform for innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship. However, at times it has also been used as a place where vulnerable persons or groups can be targeted,” said Rep. Jeffries. “I commend Senator Markey for his longstanding leadership with respect to combating Hate Crimes in America. He understands that in the digital era it is important to comprehensively evaluate the scope of criminal and hateful activity on the Internet that occurs outside of the zone of First Amendment protection. With the introduction of Senator Markey’s bill, we have taken a substantial step toward addressing this issue.”
