I read the full report. Here is the concluding paragraph....
ReplyDelete"The Board found that certain senior State Department officials within two bureaus in critical positions of authority and responsibility in Washington posed by Special Mission Benghazi, given the deteriorating threat environment and the lack of reliable host government protection. However, the Board did not find that any individual U.S. Government employee engaged in misconduct or willfully ignored his or her responsibilities, and, therefore did not find reasonable cause to believe that an individual breached his or her duty so as to be the subject of a recommendation for disciplinary action."
-------
The unclassified version of the report which we get to see does not give the names of these "senior State Department officials" who "demonstrated a lack of proactive leadership and management ability appropriate for the State Department’s senior ranks in their responses to security concerns" but nonetheless concludes that no "disciplinary action" (i.e., firing them!) is recommended, because they did not engage in "misconduct or willfully ignored his or her responsibilities."
In other words, gross incompetence that caused 4 Americans to be slaughtered by terrorists is alone not enough to get these people fired from their jobs so long as they did not "breach" their duty. What the heck kind of accountability is this!

Who wrote the report, who do they work for and who pays their salary? Obama is the answer to the last two. I really don't care about the first one as the report was bought and paid for!
ReplyDeleteThere is NO accountability when you work for the dictator! He tells you what you should think, do and report. We are no better than a banana republic.
In an organization as massive as the U.S. State Dept., neither the Secretary of State (much less the president of the U.S.) can personally attend to every single issues that arises. That is why we have these "senior State Department officials". They are responsible for dealing with these issues, and the report concludes they "demonstrated a lack of proactive leadership and management ability appropriate for the State Department’s senior ranks in their responses to security concerns" but nonetheless also concludes that no "disciplinary action" is necessary.
ReplyDeleteIf these allegations are valid, Hillary should have fired these people. And if she doesn't act, then Obama should fire them himself.
This should come up as an issue when Hillary runs for president in 2016.

No one in government service is fired for doing what the government wants unless they squeal. Have you noticed how many State Department people have run to the press? None! Tells you that there is a massive coverup and everyone has been threatened that they will lose their job if anything leaks. so much for open government!
