It was recently revealed that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was using a private email address on a private email server while serving as head of the State Department.

As if the potentially felonious secrecy of hiding her communications from the American public weren’t bad enough, we can now add a whole heap of hypocrisy on top of this scandal.

It turns out that in 2012, while Hillary was still in charge of the State Department, the Ambassador to Kenya, Scott Gration, was fired from his position for using a private email account to conduct business.

This was apparently in violation of Hillary’s own rules, rules that she herself was hypocritically breaking while enforcing them on others.

Such was the message delivered by Gration, also a retired Air Force general, who called the whole situation an obvious double standard.

According to BizPac Review, Gration told CNN host Michael Smerconish that in light of the news about Hillary’s own private emails, he now feels his dismissal for the same thing is unfair.

“As I was going through it, I did not perceive that it was a double standard because I did not know of Secretary Clinton’s use of a commercial email account,” Gration said. “But as I’ve reflected on it in the last couple of days, it does appear like there was a different standard that was used in my case and that has been used in hers.”

It should be noted that Hillary’s chief of staff at the State Department, Cheryl Mills, was the one to actually fire Gration, which raises the question of whether Mills knew about Hillary’s own private emails while firing Gration for the same thing.

“In the end, we’ll have to ask Cheryl Mills that question,” the ambassador said. “But I would assume that she knew.”

Of course Cheryl Mills knew that Hillary was using a private email account, which is why she is near the top of the list of those that Congressman Trey Gowdy intends to subpoena in front of the Benghazi Select Committee.

Besides Hillary herself, she likely knows the most about all that happened before, during and after the terrorist attacks.

In the end, this is just the latest and greatest example of the duplicitous hypocrisy and double standards common among progressive elites like Hillary Clinton, who exemplify the whole “do as I say, not as I do” tripe so endemic to the left.
