Cher Makes Statement About ISIS

Liberals Absolutely Dumbfounded

Singer, actress and pop icon Cher recently took to Twitter to offer her views on ISIS and the refugee crisis.
But her liberal fan base morphed her patriotic views into something else entirely.
The singer expressed her belief that a more stringent Visa Waver program be put in place in light of the Paris attacks at the hands of ISIS, which tragically took the lives of 130 people, and left another 368 injured.
Here’s what Cher had to say about it (she has since deleted the tweet):

However, this stance really ruffled the feathers of her fans, who saw the flag-emoticon filled tweet as the singer being ‘misinformed’ about the refugee crisis, and furthermore, ‘a bigot.’
Cher’s fans were literally beside themselves on the comment thread that followed.
After the onslaught of outrage, Cher hit back, claiming she would take in a Syrian refugee family, but America’s current vetting system doesn’t properly protect us.
According to the The New York Times, the current Visa Waiver program could pose a huge threat:
“The extremists who mounted the attacks in Paris on Nov. 13 were not Syrians but citizens of Europe who might have been able to fly to the United States without getting a visa or going through any of the significant security screening…”
The Oscar winner then followed up her initial statements with this emotional response to fans’ criticism.
Obama’s proposal to let in Syrian refugees has been hotly debated across the country — with most Americans polled standing strongly against it.
Even with the tightening of the Visa Waiver program, Congress will still need to pass legislation to make vetting foreign travelers into the U.S. that much more stringent.
