The Benghazi Report was released today by the Congressional Select
Committee on Benghazi which is led by Trey Gowdy (SC-04).

With the report, Gowdy released the following statement:
“Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods were heroes

who gave their lives in service to our country. Their bravery and the

courageous actions of so many others on the ground that night should be

honored.

“When the Select Committee was formed, I promised to conduct this

investigation in a manner worthy of the American people’s respect,

and worthy of the memory of those who died. That is exactly what my

colleagues and I have done.

“Now, I simply ask the American people to read this report for themselves,

look at the evidence we have collected, and reach their own conclusions.

You can read this report in less time than our fellow citizens were taking

fire and fighting for their lives on the rooftops and in the streets of Benghazi.”

According to the press release, here are the new facts in part 1:
  • Despite President Obama and Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta’s
  • clear orders to deploy military assets, nothing was sent to Benghazi,
  • and nothing was en route to Libya at the time the last two Americans
  • were killed almost 8 hours after the attacks began. [pg. 141]
  • With Ambassador Stevens missing, the White House convened a
  • roughly two-hour meeting at 7:30 PM, which resulted in action items
  • focused on a YouTube video, and others containing the
  •  phrases “[i]f any deployment is made,” and “Libya must agree
  •  to any deployment,” and “[w]ill not deploy until order comes to go
  • to either Tripoli or Benghazi.” [pg. 115]
  • The Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff typically would have
  •  participated in the White House meeting, but did not attend because
  •  he went home to host a dinner party for foreign dignitaries. [pg. 107]
  • A Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team (FAST) sat on a plane in Rota,
  •  Spain, for three hours, and changed in and out of their uniforms four
  • times. [pg. 154]
  • None of the relevant military forces met their required deployment
  • timelines. [pg. 150]
  • The Libyan forces that evacuated Americans from the CIA Annex to
  • the Benghazi airport was not affiliated with any of the militias the CIA
  • or State Department had developed a relationship with during the prior
  • 18 months. Instead, it was comprised of former Qadhafi loyalists who
  • the U.S. had helped remove from power during the Libyan
  • revolution. [pg. 144]

New facts from Part II:
  • Five of the 10 action items from the 7:30 PM White House meeting
  • referenced the video, but no direct link or solid evidence existed
  • connecting the attacks in Benghazi and the video at the time the
  • meeting took place. The State Department senior officials at the
  • meeting had access to eyewitness accounts to the attack in real
  •  time. The Diplomatic Security Command Center was in direct
  • contact with the Diplomatic Security Agents on the ground in Benghazi
  • and sent out multiple updates about the situation, including a
  • “Terrorism Event Notification.” The State Department Watch Center
  • had also notified Jake Sullivan and Cheryl Mills that it had set up
  •  a direct telephone line to Tripoli. There was no mention of the video
  •  from the agents on the ground. Greg Hicks—one of the last people
  • to talk to Chris Stevens before he died—said there was virtually no
  •  discussion about the video in Libya leading up to the attacks. [pg. 28]
  • The morning after the attacks, the National Security Council’s
  • Deputy Spokesperson sent an email to nearly two dozen people
  • from the White House, Defense Department, State Department,
  • and intelligence community, stating: “Both the President and
  • Secretary Clinton released statements this morning. … Please
  • refer to those for any comments for the time being. To ensure we
  • are all in sync on messaging for the rest of the day, Ben Rhodes will
  •  host a conference call for USG communicators on this chain at
  • 9:15 ET today.” [pg. 39]
  • Minutes before the President delivered his speech in the Rose
  • Garden, Jake Sullivan wrote in an email to Ben Rhodes and others:
  • “There was not really much violence in Egypt. And we are not
  • saying that the violence in Libya erupted ‘over inflammatory videos.
  • ’” [pg. 44]
  • According to Susan Rice, both Ben Rhodes and David Plouffe
  • prepared her for her appearances on the Sunday morning talk
  • shows following the attacks. Nobody from the FBI, Department of
  •  Defense, or CIA participated in her prep call. While Rhodes testified
  • Plouffe would “normally” appear on the Sunday show prep calls, Rice
  •  testified she did not recall Plouffe being on prior calls and did not
  • understand why he was on the call in this instance. [pg.98]
  • On the Sunday shows, Susan Rice stated the FBI had “already
  •  begun looking at all sorts of evidence” and “FBI has a lead in this
  • investigation.” But on Monday, the Deputy Director, Office of Maghreb
  • Affairs sent an email stating: “McDonough apparently told the SVTS
  • [Secure Video Teleconference] group today that everyone was
  • required to ‘shut their pieholes’ about the Benghazi attack in light
  • of the FBI investigation, due to start tomorrow.” [pg. 135]
  • After Susan Rice’s Sunday show appearances, Jake Sullivan
  •  assured the Secretary of the State that Rice “wasn’t asked
  • about whether we had any intel. But she did make clear our
  •  view that this started spontaneously and then evolved.” [pg. 128]
  • Susan Rice’s comments on the Sunday talk shows were met with
  •  shock and disbelief by State Department employees in Washington.
  • The Senior Libya Desk Officer, Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs,
  •  State Department, wrote: “I think Rice was off the reservation on
  • this one.” The Deputy Director, Office of Press and Public Diplomacy,
  •  Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, State Department, responded: “Off
  •  the reservation on five networks!” The Senior Advisor for Strategic
  • Communications, Bureau of Near East Affairs, State Department,
  • wrote: “WH [White House] very worried about the politics. This was
  • all their doing.” [pg. 132]
  • The CIA’s September 13, 2012, intelligence assessment was rife with
  • errors. On the first page, there is a single mention of “the early
  • stages of the protest” buried in one of the bullet points. The article
  • cited to support the mention of a protest in this instance was actually
  • from September 4. In other words, the analysts used an article from
  • a full week before the attacks to support the premise that a protest
  • had occurred just prior to the attack on September 11. [pg. 47]
  • A headline on the following page of the CIA’s September 13 intelligence
  •  assessment stated “Extremists Capitalized on Benghazi Protests,”
  • but nothing in the actual text box supports that title. As it turns out,
  • the title of the text box was supposed to be “Extremists Capitalized
  • on Cairo Protests.” That small but vital difference—from Cairo to
  •  Benghazi—had major implications in how people in the administration
  • were able to message the attacks. [pg. 52]

Part III:

  • During deliberations within the State Department about whether and
  •  how to intervene in Libya in March 2011, Jake Sullivan listed the
  •  first goal as “avoid[ing] a failed state, particularly one in which
  •  al-Qaeda and other extremists might take safe haven.” [pg. 9]
  • The administration’s policy of no boots on the ground shaped the
  •  type of military assistance provided to State Department personnel
  • in Libya. The Executive Secretariats for both the Defense Department
  • and State Department exchanged communications outlining the
  •  diplomatic capacity in which the Defense Department SST security
  • team members would serve, which included wearing civilian clothes
  • so as not to offend the Libyans. [pg. 60]
  • When the State Department’s presence in Benghazi was extended in
  • December 2012, senior officials from the Bureau of Diplomatic
  • Security were excluded from the discussion. [pg. 74]
  • In February 2012, the lead Diplomatic Security Agent at Embassy
  • Tripoli informed his counterpart in Benghazi that more DS agents
  • would not be provided by decision makers, because “substantive
  •  reporting” was not Benghazi’s purpose. [pg. 77]
  • Emails indicate senior State Department officials, including Cheryl
  • Mills, Jake Sullivan, and Huma Abedin were preparing for a trip
  • by the Secretary of State to Libya in October 2012. According to
  • testimony, Chris Stevens wanted to have a “deliverable” for the
  • Secretary for her trip to Libya, and that “deliverable” would be making
  •  the Mission in Benghazi a permanent Consulate. [pg. 96]
  • In August 2012—roughly a month before the Benghazi attacks—security
  •  on the ground worsened significantly. Ambassador Stevens initially
  • planned to travel to Benghazi in early August, but cancelled the
  •  trip “primarily for Ramadan/security reasons.” [pg. 99]
  • Former Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta bluntly told the
  •  committee “an intelligence failure” occurred with respect to
  • Benghazi. Former CIA Deputy Director Michael Morell also a
  • cknowledged multiple times an intelligence failure did in fact occur
  •  prior to the Benghazi attacks. [pg. 129]

Benghazi Film Makes A Powerful Statement. Is Anyone Listening?

This Might Be The Most Powerful Shot Trump Has Ever Taken At Hillary – It’s Not Anything He Said…

"What difference does it make?"
In what is becoming typical Donald Trump bravado, the provocateur is upping the ante on Hillary Clinton’s bid for president of the United States. The Desmoines Register reported Friday that Trump has rented out a movie theater at Urbandale, Iowa, and is giving away free tickets to the new film 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi.
“Mr. Trump would like all Americans to know the truth about what happened at Benghazi,” said Trump’s Iowa campaign organizer Tana Goertz. The film, which does not directly mention President Obama or Hillary Clinton, is based on the actual events that took place in Benghazi, Libya when Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, Information Management Officer Sean Smith, and two former Navy Seals Tyrone Woods, and Glen Doherty were killed by terrorists on September 11, 2012.
Both the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State at the time, propagated the notion that an anti-Islam film produced in the U.S. was the cause for the attacks. It has also been reported that this was the reason given to the victims’ families. On May 8th, 2013, Clinton testified about Benghazi, “With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided that they’d they go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make?” Many Americans are outraged that the Obama administration sent Susan Rice to the media in the days that followed Benghazi to purport that the attack was a spontaneous demonstration and not a coordinated attack on Americans on the anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

Apparently, to the families of the deceased, the CIA operatives who witnessed the attacks and responded, conservative politicians, lawmakers on the Benghazi committee, and many Americans, it makes a lot of difference. It also seems to make a difference to Trump who is willing to pay for Iowans to further understand the backstory of Benghazi.

Benghazi Victim's Mom NEVER Got Answers From Hillary

Watch: Mom Of Benghazi Victim Makes Big Claim About Gowdy And Hillary Everyone Needs To See

"I think he's doing..."

The mother of one of the four victims of the 2012 Benghazi attack wants answers, and she believes former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is someone who must provide them.
When questioned about the accusations that the House Select Committee on Benghazi has become too focused on Clinton for political reasons, Patricia Smith (mother of Sean Smith) responded, “First of all, it is about Hillary. It was her department, her area, her bailiwick. She did all the instruction of what should be done there. Why shouldn’t they talk to Hillary about it?”

Smith praised the work of the House Select Committee on Benghazi and its chairman, Rep. Trey Gowdy. “I think he’s doing a good job,” the mother told Fox News’ Martha MacCallum on Tuesday.
Regarding Clinton, Smith said, “She promised me, when the caskets came in to Washington D.C., she promised me to my face that she would call and tell me what happened, because I don’t know exactly what happened.”
Now, three years later, the mother is still waiting for answers regarding the attack on the American consulate that killed her son, a 34-year-old information management officer with the Foreign Service.
MacCallum noted Clinton’s outage while testifying before a Senate committee investigating the attacks in 2013, when the former secretary of state exclaimed, “What difference at this point does it make?!”
“It makes a lot of difference. It was my son that got killed and she never told me why,” Smith told the Fox News host.
“Why did she kill them then? Why did she stop the security guards from going in there? [The guards] told me personally that if they would have been allowed to go…And they were told to stand down, if they allowed them to go, my son would be alive. I want Hillary to tell me why this is not so!” Smith demanded.
The mother, now visibly emotional, said, “She has got to let me know. I am the mother, or I was the mother. She’s not. Why does she know and I can’t find out about my son?!  Somebody in the government, should let me know something.”
Smith told MacCallum that Gowdy has promised to get her answers. “I think he’s trying to find answers,” she said.
As reported by Western Journalism, Gowdy defended the work of the Benghazi Committee against the allegations by a former staff member and Hillary Clinton that it has become primarily focused on hurting her politically. “We’ve done 50 witness interviews, since the [Clinton] email story broke. Fifty,” the committee chairman told Fox News’ Greta Van Susteran. “Precisely one of them [emphasis added] has been exclusively related to her email, and that was Bryan Pagliano, and as you recall Greta, that was a really short interview, because he invoked his Fifth Amendment privilege” against self incrimination.
Gowdy made clear his confidence in the integrity of the committee in the face of these accusations, saying, “I don’t care what the Democrats say about me, Greta, I’ve been in a court room for 16 years, I’ve heard it before.” He added enthusiastically that his committee staff is made up of “character-driven” men and women, including former federal prosecutors, ethics attorneys and even a retired three-star U.S. general, all dedicated to honoring the lives of those four Americans killed in Benghazi.

Taliban Wins Over US. An Embarrassing Event That Will Have Long Ranging Effects.

Bergdahl And How The Taliban Has Won

June 3, 2014 by

Americans need look no further than the controversy surrounding the U.S.-brokered release of Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl, who had been in terrorists’ custody in the Mideast for five years after walking off of his post, to understand how miserably the U.S. has failed in its recent military misadventures.
Since Bergdahl was traded by the U.S. government for five former top Taliban officials who were held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, there has been a great deal of talk about what the Nation’s top leadership’s motives were in securing his release.
The Obama Administration has been criticized for trading dangerous terrorists for a soldier who is largely thought to have abandoned his duties as a soldier—especially since it did so without notifying members of Congress.
And while Bergdahl’s story is a complicated one, one thing can be garnered from the reports of his disappearance and return: It’s a story of the Nation’s broad failures in the wars in the Middle East.
Bergdahl abandoned his duty at a time when troop morale about the U.S.’s mission in Afghanistan was already largely in decline as soldiers realized that many in the region had no desire for help from the U.S.
As Rolling Stone, in a 2012 write-up about Bergdahl, noted:
The unruly situation was captured by Sean Smith, a British documentary filmmaker with The Guardian who spent a month embedded with Bowe’s unit. His footage shows a bunch of soldiers who no longer give a shit: breaking even the most basic rules of combat, like wearing baseball caps on patrol instead of helmets. In footage from a raid on a family compound, an old Afghan woman screams at the unit, “Look at these cruel people!” One soldier bitches about what he sees as the cowardice of the Afghan villagers he is supposed to be protecting: “They say like, the Taliban comes down and aggravated their town and harasses them… Why don’t you kill those motherfuckers? All of you have AKs. If someone is going into my hometown, I know my town wouldn’t stand for that shit. I’d be like, ‘Fuck you, you’re dead.’” Another soldier laments, “These people just want to be left alone.” A third agrees: “They got dicked with by the Russians for 17 years, and now we’re here.”
But, unlike Bergdahl, many Americans finished the tours they signed up for despite their disillusionment. For that reason many of the men who served alongside, and subsequently searched for, Bergdahl have decried the White House’s actions. Some are calling for the soldier to be disciplined for walking off of his post.
The New York Times reported this week:
The furious search for Sergeant Bergdahl, his critics say, led to the deaths of at least two soldiers and possibly six others in the area. Pentagon officials say those charges are unsubstantiated and are not supported by a review of a database of casualties in the Afghan war.
“Yes, I’m angry,” Joshua Cornelison, a former medic in Sergeant Bergdahl’s platoon, said in an interview on Monday arranged by Republican strategists. “Everything that we did in those days was to advance the search for Bergdahl. If we were doing some mission and there was a reliable report that Bergdahl was somewhere, our orders were that we were to quit that mission and follow that report.”
Sergeant Bergdahl slipped away from his outpost, the former senior officer said, possibly on foot but more likely hiding in a contractor’s vehicle. “He didn’t walk out the gate through a checkpoint, and there was no evidence he breached the perimeter wire and left that way,” the ex-officer said.
Still, the White House decided to trade five former top Taliban members to secure Bergdahl’s release.
”Regardless of the circumstances, whatever those circumstances may turn out to be, we still get an American soldier back if he’s held in captivity,” Obama said defending the action.
But, if the Afghan war was about quelling the threat of terror sparked by Islamic extremism, even the President realizes that the decision was self-defeating for U.S. interests. The President acknowledged Tuesday that there is no way the government can promise that the terrorists will not rejoin the effort to kill Westerners in the name of Allah.
Furthermore, Taliban leader Mullah Omar delivered a statement Sunday calling the trade a “great victory.”
“We shall thank almighty for this great victory,” said the statement. “The sacrifice of our Mujahedin have resulted in the release of our senior leaders from the hand of the enemy.”
He also thanked the “faithful Muslim nation of Afghanistan,” Bergdahl’s captors and the Amir of Qatar for his “tireless efforts” to move the deal along.
“May Allah grant all of them with rewards,” the statement says.
Of course, the Taliban official wasn’t the only one talking to Allah after the soldier’s release.
Clare Lopez, “a former CIA operations officer, a strategic policy and intelligence expert with a focus on Middle East, national defense, WMD, and counterterrorism issues,” and a friend of Colonel Allen West, relayed in an email to the conservative commentator:
What none of these media is reporting is that the father’s (SGT Bowe Bergdahl’s father Bob) first words at the WH were in Arabic – those words were “bism allah alrahman alraheem” – which means “in the name of Allah the most gracious and most merciful” – these are the opening words of every chapter of the Qur’an except one (the chapter of the sword – the 9th) – by uttering these words on the grounds of the WH, Bergdahl (the father) sanctified the WH and claimed it for Islam. There is no question but POTUS knows this.
Does anyone remember what supposedly got us involved in this Afghanistan bullshit in the first place?

To The Left Keeping Obama In Office Is More Important Than The Truth, Benghazi Victims Be Damned

Benghazi Revisited

October 29, 2013 by
Benghazi Revisited
UPI
President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at the Transfer of Remains Ceremony marking the return to the United States of the remains of the four Americans killed in Benghazi, Libya, in September 2012.
It’s official, kids. President Barack Obama lied to the American people about the events surrounding the al-Qaida-planned and led attack on the compound in Benghazi; notably the murders of Ambassador Chris Stevens, Glenn Doherty, Sean Smith and Tyrone Woods.
Actually, everyone outside the Moveon.org mailing list already knew. But now, it is super-duper-double-secret official. And, despite the fact that they’ve probably endangered their spot on the White House Ramadan Card list, the people who have finally kicked in the door Obama has tried mightily to keep locked are none other than the former employers of disgraced ex-anchor Dan Rather: CBS News.
On Sunday night, “60 Minutes” aired an interview conducted by Lara Logan – no stranger to the violence of which inadequately contained Islamofascists are capable – with unqualified experts on the events of that fateful night. Deputy Ambassador to Libya Greg Hicks, whose Congressional testimony on Benghazi knocked a few bricks out of the Obama Administration’s wall of silence a few months back, brought his sledgehammer out of retirement for the sit-down. According to Hicks, not only was the then-Hillary Clinton-led State Department well aware of the worsening situation in Libya, they had been specifically apprised of the amplification of al-Qaida ululating in area. And not only did the State Department not move to increase security after Stevens specifically noted that “(T)he al-Qaida flag has been spotted several times flying over government buildings,” they ignored three requests for security assets.
If that alone doesn’t jolt you out of your reality-TV reverie, try this on for size: According to Lt. Col. Andy Wood, nearly everyone from the muezzins at the Benghazi mosques to Hillary Clinton’s yard guy knew that al-Qaida was coming. And Wood didn’t arrive at this conclusion through any in-depth intelligence gathering or Jason Bourne-like spycraft. Nope, all Wood had to do was log on to the Internet, where the terrorists had posted their plans.
Asked by Logan if he had passed his concerns on to Washington, Wood affirmed: “We included that in our reports to both State Department and DOD…” That means the Clinton “what difference does it make” narrative was dead and buried long before she dragged it into the Congressional hearing during which she blatantly lied.
We already knew Obama and his accomplices lied about virtually everything connected to the Benghazi massacre. The infamous “YouTube” excuse floated by Rice and pushed by hapless sock puppets like Chris Matthews barely staggered through a week before someone bothered to notice it was sillier than most of Matthews’ MSNBC yammering. In fact, the Democrats’ desperate attempts to muddy the waters with ridiculous whining about the manner in which Clinton was treated during her shocking displays of mendacity are proof in and of themselves of the con they tried to play.
The sad truth is that all the lies Obama and his accomplices have told us have bounced harmlessly off the iron-sided ignorance of the low-information liberal base. And the fact that Obama and Clinton lied through their teeth about literally EVERY aspect of Benghazi will have little to no effect on that same base. To them, partisanship comes before everything including – perhaps ESPECIALLY – life itself. Of COURSE they value Obama’s Presidency – not to mention Clinton’s Presidential aspirations – over the lives of Stevens, Doherty, Smith and Woods. These are people who proudly support Representative Wendy “Abortion Barbie” Davis (D-Kermit Gosnell’s abattoir).
They just don’t care. And they’re not likely to start now. After all, what’s four dead Americans, a cover-up which extends from the deserts of Libya to the White House and the brutal murder of whatever credibility Hillary Clinton had left in her purse when weighed against politics?
