Republicans Fall Into Obama Trap. GOP Is Going To Give The Dems A Fall Victory!

WASHINGTON – Not all conservatives lawmakers are happy with the border-fix bill that the House just passed.
In fact, Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Texas told WND he believed it was a terrible mistake.
“Instead of the border crisis being all Obama’s fault, now we’re going to take responsibility for it,” he insisted.
The exasperated Texan explained he was sure that Hispanics would now hold Republicans responsible for the border mess.
Did he think it would have been better not to have any bill?
“Yes! Absolutely!” Stockman shot back vehemently.
“Right now, Obama has his lowest numbers ever, thanks to his immigration policy. Now were going to get the blame.”
The congressman explained the Republicans had just handed the Democrats a club they could use to beat them in November.
“They’re going to tell Hispanics, ‘Hey they’re going to send you back, and all that stuff.’ They will just use this as propaganda to beat us up in the Fall.”

Although well-intentioned, he thinks Republicans lost sight of the big picture, and that this wasn’t about immigration, it was about the upcoming election.
“This is to gin up the vote, which is the very thing I told my colleagues. Nothing more than a Democrat plan to get out of the vote and we are falling into this trap. They are going to play this for everything they can in the fall elections.”
Stockman explained how he felt the bill would cause a shift in perceptions.
“It was Obama who had all the blame, he was insincere, drinking beer and shooting pool. Now, we’re the target.”
WND said the bill made other conservatives hopeful, because now they had a plan and Republicans were united, and that would allow them to turn the tables on the Democrats for not having passed their own bill.
Stockman disagreed, saying “This is exactly what Democrats wanted. Republicans played right into their hands. We shouldn’t have been playing this game. This is the frickin’ president’s irresponsililty.”
He referred to a press conference Friday morning held by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, and said, just as he had predicted the day before, the Democrats would say the border mess is all due to the fact that “Republicans hate children.”
Noting the press conference was broadcast live to Hispanic television stations around the country, Stockman termed it a “disaster.”
Calling it “exactly what Democrats wanted,” Stockman noted the speakers described “how the GOP was trying to destroy the Hispanic community.”
As WND reported, Democrats at the press conference claimed the GOP is “mean, vile, destructive and hateful” to Hispanics.
“This press conference was outrageous. We’ve got to realize there is a grand plan to what Obama is doing. I think it would be better if we’d never touched the bill, because right now the poll numbers for the president are going through the basement, primarily because of immigration.”
So, he was not opposed to what was in the House bill, he just thought approving any bill at all would be political suicide?
“Yeah. We are handing Obama a victory. This is what he wanted so he could go out and gin up the Hispanic vote.”
Stockman noted, historically, Hispanics do not turn out to vote in great numbers in off-year elections. “We just gave them a reason to vote. They had been holding Obama to blame.”
He said if the Hispanic vote increased in November by just 5 percent it would have a huge implication across the nation.
Stockman had one more reason to dislike the bill. He said if the Senate does take it up  after the August recess, and it gets sent to conference to formulate a compromise, it will give both GOP and Democratic leaders just the opening they need to insert an amnesty provision into the bill.
“We’re not just driving the car into a ditch. In fact, we’re saying, ‘Move over Obama, we’re going to take the wheel now.’”

Nearly 300,000 Illegals Have Come To This Country In Recent Months. This Is NOT A Drop In A Bucket, It Is A Full Scale Flood! However, The Hurricane Is Coming!

WASHINGTON – President Obama said he won’t go to the border because he doesn’t want to do a “photo-op.”
But a Texas congressman who just returned from the U.S. border with Mexico said the right presidential photo-op could actually solve the humanitarian crisis there, and stop the flood of illegal immigrants crossing into the country.
Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Texas, said the head of the border guard union told him, “If President Obama stood by an airplane and returned the people to Guatemala, that, overnight, it would stop the flow.”
The numbers are astounding.
The New York Times reports an estimated 290,000 illegal immigrants, including 52,000 unaccompanied children, have crossed the border illegally in the Rio Grande Valley to cities around the county, just in recent months.
“There are more people coming across the border than we sent to invade France in World War II,” marveled Stockman.
“That is an invasion of our nation, and most of them are coming into Texas. We need to take quick action.”
Stockman and Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, were the first members of Congress to gain access inside one of the overcrowded border facilities where immigrants have been detained.
They arrived as the detainees were served lunch: a burrito, apple and water.
“I think the most shocking thing I saw was kids giving themselves up to the border guards. I had thought more border guards would help, but not at all.”
The congressman said even if there were “a million” border guards, it wouldn’t help, because the immigrants “were not running from us, they were running to the guards.”
Since refugees are usually running from something rather than toward something, WND asked: Were these immigrants refugees, as Democrats have claimed?
“No, there are many U.S. cities that have a higher murder rate than Guatemala,” Stockman observed, adding, “Does that mean we’re going to get refugees from Chicago?”
With Obama apparently unwilling to stop what Stockman called an invasion, WND asked him what Congress could do to stem the sudden surge of immigrants, especially those from Central America.
The congressman noted that we faced a similar crisis in 2005 when a large number of immigrants from Brazil started streaming into the country, but President George W. Bush solved the problem and deported them by using one of Obama’s favorite tools, the executive order.
Stockman said it would be much more humane to stop the flow than to allow it to continue, with so many left vulnerable to kidnapping, rape and murder during 30-day, thousand-mile long trips.
“We need to return the families back home so we send a message, ‘You come up here, you’re going to be sent home quickly.’”
Why not build the fence right now?
The Texan noted Congress has already allocated money for the fence, but no one has built it.
“Now, the president says the fence won’t work. I would challenge him to remove the fence from around the White House, if it doesn’t work. Fences work. It works in Israel. It would work here.”
Stockman also believes the National Guard should be deployed on the border because, “Right now, the border guards are so busy feeding and taking care of the children, they can’t do their regular responsibilities.”
If the president will neither build the fence nor deport the illegal immigrants, what can Congress do to stem the tide?
Stockman senses the president wants to make a deal.
He said the House won’t agree to the $3.7 billion Obama wants to put the underage immigrants through a long legal process, but it will fund emergency priorities.
“I don’t think House Republicans want to fund a bunch of trial attorneys so they can give contributions to his coffers. The money should be directed at building a wall, completing a wall and helping the children directly, in terms of food and aid.”
He also believes Congress could modify a 2008 law that was designed to protect minors from Central America from falling prey to sex-traffickers by allowing them to stay in the country during a lengthy legal process involving hearings before immigration judges. Stockman said that law, ironically and sadly, has backfired, by luring unaccompanied and unprotected minors onto American streets.
Obama has signaled his willingness to water down the law, but some Democrats are fiercely opposed to a bill designed to do that proposed Monday by Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, and Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas.
Stockman said, it wasn’t really the 2008 law that triggered the sudden flow of minor immigrants; it was Obama’s decision, after Congress refused to pass the DREAM Act, to unilaterally implement the bill’s key provision and not deport minors in the country illegally.
“Look at the numbers,” he said. “As soon a Obama announced the DREAM Act, the numbers shot through the roof.”

Hamas Must Pay For The Death Of The Three Teens In Israel. ALL Funds To Palestinian Authority Should Be Cut Off Immediately!

Bodies of 3 missing Israeli teens found

The bodies of three missing Israeli teenagers, including one U.S.-Israeli dual citizen, were found north of Hebron in the West Bank Monday, Israeli officials confirmed.
Gilad Shaar, 16, Eyal Yifrach, 19, and Naftali Fraenkel, 16, were found dead Monday after reports that a large contingent of Israeli security forces shut down entrances and exits to Hebron. Autopsies had not yet been conducted.
Fraenkel was a U.S. citizen born in Israel. His family has ties to Brooklyn, where his grandparents lived until they moved to Israel in the mid-1950s.
News of the discovery spread just before the Israeli security cabinet held an emergency session late Monday night.

The three teens disappeared near a bloc of Jewish settlements near Hebron on June 12 late at night. Reports have said they were hitchhiking home from school.
State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters Monday that they have seen the reports but couldn’t confirm them independently.
Psaki reiterated that “the kidnapping, and of course any harm that has been done to these teenagers, is a tragedy.” The U.S., she said, continues to urge “continued security cooperation” between the Israelis and Palestinians.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has blamed Hamas for the kidnappings, and two suspects have been named in the case: Marwan Qawasmeh and Amer Abu Aisha. Hamas has said those responsible acted alone.
More than 240 Palestinians have been arrested in the West Bank in connection with the case over the last several weeks. Rockets were also launched into Israel from the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip since their kidnapping, Israel Defense Forces said Monday.
Several U.S. lawmakers weighed in on the news.
“The whole world should be sickened by the vicious murders of 3 Israeli teens. I condemn the PA,” tweeted Rep. Steve Israel (D-N.Y.), who’s Jewish.
“Three boys were butchered by Hamas for being Jewish. Obama should immediately renounce his support of the Hamas-partnered government,” Rep. Steve Stockman (R-Texas) tweeted.
The Obama administration hasn’t explicitly said it supports or recognizes the new Palestinian government sworn in earlier this month, despite the fact that it's backed by Hamas. Secretary of State John Kerry has said the U.S. is willing to work with it for now, since its ministers are unaffiliated with a political party. Kerry has cautioned, however, that the U.S. could change that position if things change.
“Our worst fears have come true. May the memory of #EyalGiladNaftali be a blessing. Those responsible must be brought to justice,” tweeted Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.), who’s also Jewish.
