Before you laugh, don't underestimate Sarah Palin, she might be just the person to create a new party. Yup, it would be a major event, a very hard job, and some would say, impossible task. But if there is one person on the scene right now, it would be the former Alaska governor.
So what do you think? Will Palin start a new party?

Palin: I'm Open to Starting New Political Party

The one-time vice presidential nominee was answering Twitter questions on Fox News Saturday, when a user asked if she and Fox conservative commentator Mark Levin would be willing to build a "Freedom Party if [the] GOP continues to ignore conservatives."
Palin replied, "I love the name of that party: the Freedom Party," she replied. "And if the GOP continues to back away from the planks in our platform, from the principles that built this party of Lincoln and Reagan, then yeah."
Many conservatives with "that libertarian streak" feel neglected, said Palin, and creating a new home for them might be a good idea.
She said she expects people to start asking what is wrong with being independent.
"I think there will be a lot of us who start saying, 'GOP, if you abandon us, we have nowhere else to go except to become more independent and not enlisted in one or the other private majority parties that rule in our nation, either a Democrat or a Republican,'" Palin said.
David Axelrod, a former senior adviser for President Barack Obama, mocked Palin's words Monday, reports The Washington Times.
"With Palin threatening to bolt [the] party, I bet a bunch of [Republicans] are humming that old Dan Hicks tune: 'How Can I Miss You When You Won’t Go Away?'" Axelrod tweeted.
But for now, Palin is remaining connected to mainstream conservative media, as she signed back on as a contributor for Fox and the Fox Business Network in June, after parting ways with the network in January.
Her strong words about the GOP are fine with Fox executives. Fox News Chief Roger Ailes said in a statement that he has had several conversations with the tea party favorite in recent weeks about rejoining the network, and he has "great confidence in her and am pleased that she will once again add her commentary to our programming. I hope she continues to speak her mind."
